This paper aims to explain and present a proposal to introduce Disaster Risk Management (DRM) topics into ESAN Graduate School of Business Master’s programs. Although disasters have cost Peru more than USD 7,600 million in the past 2 decades the business sector, particularly Small and Medium Enterprises, have not developed preventive or continuity plans mainly because they are not familiar with DRM topics. Taking this into consideration, the paper presents a detailed academic/curricular proposal for DRM topics such as business continuity, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable management. Additionally, it introduces the idea of promoting Disaster Risk Management (DRM) topics to the Peruvian business community as a strategy to enhance the graduate education.

This work aims at discovering topics in a text corpus and classifying the most relevant terms for each of the discovered topics. The process was performed in four steps: first, document extraction and data processing; second, labeling and training of the data; third, labeling of the unseen data; and fourth, evaluation of the model performance. For processing, a total of 10,322 "curriculum" documents related to data science were collected from the web during 2018-2022. The latent dirichlet allocation (LDA) model was used for the analysis and structure of the subjects. After processing, 12 themes were generated, which allowed ranking the most relevant terms to identify the skills of each of the candidates. An ineluctable topic has emerged and needs to be treated in engineering programs for green energies. Particularly in the programs of electrical and systems engineering, students can acquire the capabilities to envision the arrival of green standards to generate clean energy sources. In this article, the introduction of new forms of green energy is systematically presented through a basic experiment in electricity in which a potato is used to investigate the current and electric power. The experiences were conducted at the 2022-I at a private university in Lima City. The results demonstrated that the topic of biofuel in the framework of green energy can be studied in undergraduate courses. Indeed, prospective students of engineering can be oriented toward research in engineering for the implementation of new electrical systems that provide electricity with low budgets.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the development of mentoring process and performance of the tutor in a mentoring pilot program from the perspective of student and teacher, the research design is pre experimental, application, qualitative and quantitative, the group consisted of 61 students and 12 tutors. This research had three stages; in the first teachers were trained as tutors with e-learning and was opened a virtual classroom. Teaching design patterns has proved to be a complicated topic in software engineering courses. Practitioners require mastering this technique in order to develop higher-quality programs. As part of the experiment, we used pair programming practice to solve this problem in an undergraduate classroom activity, aiming that finding the best pair configuration based on previous programming skills and character affinity, would lead us to better results. The experiment was divided into five rounds, increasing the complexity every each exercise. Afterward, we compared the score obtained by the students in the mid-term exam with last semester scores, resulting in an improvement of 0.37 points with the previous semester, which was 12.3% of the highest score (3 points).

This article describes the procedure for the implementation of a graphical user interface using the App Designer development environment of the Matlab software and its Toolbox Signal Processing and Symbolic Math, which allowed obtaining the Fourier Series coefficients for seven periodic signals followed by a graphical representation in the domain of time and frequency through pulses. This research was comparison of user experience between the Scratch and Code.org platforms, for being used by novice program-mers. The comparison was taking into seven factors that influ-ence user experience, including usefulness, usability, desirability, findability, accessibility, credibility, and value. The research was carried out with the participation of 40 people with little or no knowledge about programming topics, the people carried out the following tasks: Register on the platform, use a sample project, create a project, program using block-based programming, explore the features and functionalities of the platform. In general, both platforms offer a good user experience for novice programmers. Finally, it is concluded that Scratch offers a better user experience, because it exceeded Code.org in 4 of the 7 factors.

El Objetivo del estudio fue evaluar el desarrollo del proceso de tutoría y el desempeño del docente tutor en un Programa Piloto de tutoría desde la perspectiva del estudiante y docente participante. El diseño de la investigación es pre experimental, aplicativo, cualicuantitativo; la población de estudio es constituida por 61 estudiantes y 12 docentes. El estudio tuvo tres fases, en la primera se realizó capacitación a los docentes tutores y se aperturó una aula virtual. En la segunda se identificó el perfil del estudiante ingresante y se conformó grupos, en la tercera se ejecutó el programa de tutorías y se realizó la evaluación de esta. La investigación tuvo como objetivo diseñar un programa de cuentos motores para potenciar las habilidades socioemocionales en niños de cuatro años. Se utilizó metodología cuantitativa a nivel descriptiva propositiva, evaluándose a una muestra de 21 niños y niñas. Entre los resultados obtenidos, se observó a un reducido grupo de participantes con puntajes altos, mientras que la mayoría está por debajo de la puntuación mínima.
