This study estimates the economic costs of mining pollution on water resources for the years 2008 and 2009 based on the conceptual framework of Environmental Efficiency. This framework identifies such costs as the mining companies’ trade-off between increasing production that is saleable at market prices (desirable output) and reducing the environmental pollution that emerges from the production process (undesirable output). These economic costs were calculated from parametric and non parametric production possibility frontiers for 28 and 37 mining units in 2008 and 2009, respectively, which were under the purview of the National Campaign for Environmental Monitoring of Effluent and Water Resources, conducted by the Energy and Mining Investment Supervisory Agency (Osinergmin) in those years. We evaluate the performance of an Omnivision OV5647 CMOS image sensor (5 Mp) for detecting radiation from Sr90 and Cs137 sources. Our experimental setup uses a Raspberry Pi 3 mini-computer for data acquisition, with image processing using Python and OpenCV libraries. We specify the necessary settings to convert a standard camera into a particle detector sensitive to electrons and photons, including a two-step background filtering procedure. A pediatric stander is an adapted piece of equipment whose function is to achieve the vertical position of the child when motor control is inadequate, in other words, when the child cannot stand and control his weight against gravity, having the age to do it. This technical equipment is necessary for patients diagnosed with cerebral palsy who have already acquired head control and initiated trunk control. This product has a high value in Peru. For the generation of this equipment, we will apply a computer editing and design process, we will follow a 5-step process in addition to applying CAD, CAE, and CAM techniques, emphasizing the design optimization method. Finally, we will verify how the application of this methodology, together with computer simulation, allows us to generate a functional, resistant prototype and, in the main point, with optimization in design and acquisition costs.

Mathematical modelling applied to batch milling (at experimental level), is a very important tool to simulate and predict the granulometric yield of a given treated ore; this means, for a given duration of milling operation, to obtain an estimate of the corresponding granulometric analysis, which can then be tested with real data later on, to verify the estimates. The model involves the selection and fracture functions depending on each mesh size in the ore distribution. This will allow the prediction of effective and reliable results, saving costs and more importantly, time, without the need to perform the milling process for each prediction of batch milling.

In the age of the Internet, anonymous online users can form a societal reaction by posting large quantities of critique and insulting comments against (perceived) norm violations on social media. These so-called online firestorms, or Enjō in Japanese, tend to include aggressive behavior against the target. This research aims to reveal the dynamics of Enjō and explores how people communicate with each other in the formation process of Enjō by conducting a comparative case study. Por otro lado, los sistemas de radio definidos por software (SDR) proporcionan una solución relativamente económica y efectiva, permitiendo múltiples funcionalidades que pueden mejorarse simplemente actualizando el software. El presente informe describe la implementación de cuatro sistemas SDR mediante el uso de una computadora portátil con el software GNURadio, una placa transmisora de RF y un dispositivo receptor de RF de bajo costo.
