La variabilidad de las precipitaciones en la cuenca amazónica (CA) es analizada para el período 1964-2003. Este análisis está basado en 756 estaciones pluviométricas distribuidas en todos los países de la cuenca incluyendo datos de Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador y Colombia. En particular, la reciente disponibilidad de datos de precipitación de los países andinos hace posible completar estudios anteriores. Se subraya el impacto de la cordillera de los Andes sobre las lluvias. La mayor precipitación en la CA es observada en regiones bajas expuestas a los vientos húmedos del este, y menor lluvia es registrada en las estaciones de altura y protegidas por las primeras montañas de los Andes de los vientos húmedos del este. The contemporary commitment of inquiry had as equitable to dispose the elements that the main points of blueberry exports in the region of La Libertad towards the American business, also the perception that entrepreneurs have before this juncture, the cultivation of blueberries is growing in Peru and constitutes an important business opportunity, due to international demand; especially in the United States of America, where its production is not enough to cover the demand of its consumers. The research corresponds to the applied type, non-experimental design and with a quantitative approach. Chiasmocleis magnova was described with only two female individuals from the Allpahuayo Mishana National Reserve and surroundings in the Loreto region, Peru. The presence of large eggs in the holotype led the descriptors to assume that this species reproduces with direct development. After the description, records emerged to the north and south of the Amazon River; however, these records lacked photographs and most also lacked population information. This motivated us to learn more about their reproduction, distribution, and abundance by habitats. To this end, we captured and placed a pair of C. magnova in an aquaterrarium to assess their eggs and tadpoles. In parallel, we assessed bromeliads in transects in search of reproductive pairs to evaluate their oviposition. The average growth of Peru GDP reached 6 per cent during the 2001-2007 period. However this growth was not in parallel with the microeconomic wellbeing. During this years, the poverty rate decreased 2.7 percentage points in contrast the GDP growth of 27.5 percentage points. As a consequence, searching for high economic growth rates is not enough for reaching a significant decrease of poverty and inequality. In this sense, an effective way might be the promotion of wealth growth initiatives in specific regions with high potential. In order to get a real impact in the poverty reduction it is necessary to change the institutional framework which foster a better environment for the private investment. Lower–Middle Ordovician brachiopods are well known from the Central Andean Basin of Argentina and Bolivia, but relatively little data comes from its northern prolongation in the Altiplano and the Eastern Cordillera of Peru. Here we present information about brachiopods collected from the San José Formation (Fm) from several sections located at the northeast of the Apurímac River valley in the surroundings of Kimbiri city in the Eastern Cordillera. From northwest to southeast the sections and their locations are: Libertad, in the mountain trail between this hamlet and the city of Pichari; Catarata and Nueva Alianza, in the mountain trail between Oroya and the last hamlet; and Kimbiri (K), in the trail parallel to the Kashiroveni stream north of the village of Kimbiri Alto.
