The article exposes the results of a critical analysis of the implementation process of the program Escuela Nueva in Colombia. It proposes a review at the policy borrowing process from an international perspective, as well as a description of the dynamics of implementation within the Colombian context. For such aim, an exhaustive analysis was performed by implementing a qualitative documentary review, using a typological sample selection of sources. The conclusions suggest the need to consider attendance and transition indicators as key elements for decision making regarding the continuity, diversification and improvement of the program, as well as the urgency of unifying the national goals in pursuit of a coordinated implementation of rural programs.

This research was aimed at determining to what extent factors prior to university admission, motivational factors, and institutional experiences explain the academic persistence of students in the University Leveling Term (CIU) at the Simon Bolivar University - Coastal Campus. An explanatory-type quantitative study was proposed, which involved a non-experimental cross-sectional retrospective causal relationship design. The sample consisted of 101 students (50.5% female) with an average age of 17.90 years (SD = 2.37). The study found a significant relationship between some variables explaining academic persistence, which were: a) having a lower orientation toward academic goals; b) a higher score on the maladaptive pattern; c) a higher score in the perception of the Mathematics professor’s evaluation; and d) a higher score in the final performance. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact in health and the national economy, and in the legal sciences, one of the areas that had the most changes was customs law. When the state of emergency was declared as a result of the lethality of the pandemic, only cargo transportation was allowed in order to guarantee the pharmaceutic and food supply chain. Even though the international freight traffic contracted at the start ofthe pandemic, it later became one of the main engines for economic reactivation, and luckily, the Peruvian Customs Administration had started a legal and digital transformation process precisely in 2020. Throughout this essay, the author analyses this onslaught of changes in the Peruvian Customs Administration and its impact in the national legislation and economy.

This article proposes an intervention program to create consciousness among elementary school students and parents of Basic and Regular Education about gender violence to eventually identify gender’s violence ways of expression and the different aspects where these develop such as their homes, school, and society in general. Given that these attitudes tend to be blinded or normalized when a type of violence is manifested oriented by the gender. Maternal mortality is a major public health problem in Peru and other developing countries. This problem does not only mean the deaths of hundreds of thousands of women each year, but that has as one of its effects the mortality rate among children of these women and expresses the deep inequalities between countries and within them, between regions, social classes and géneros1. There is growing consensus on the basic strategies to successfully address this situation. However, it is crucial to identify the unique characteristics of maternal mortality in each country and, within them, in each region. From a program management perspective, the relationship between supply and demand for services is a key to understanding the patterns of maternal mortality and conclude prioritization decisions and planning element.

Daily learning activities generate exchanges of ideas, doubts, and explanations between students and teachers. These dialogues and the possibility of asking a teacher questions disappear after classes. New automated communication tools developed with word processing programs, such as chatbots, have proven helpful in commerce and customer service. Some educational institutions are currently exploring the benefits of these programs in student care. This paper describes an exploratory study on the use of educational software and conversational agents in the teaching of programming; the objective is to identify the potential of this type of program to support teachers in the training of programmers and the accompaniment of students in their self-managed learning.

Critical thinking is a fundamental competency for university students, as it involves analyzing and judging even one’s own beliefs, which requires a willingness to change. This study aimed to determine whether it is possible to develop critical thinking through the PECRIT program in early childhood and primary education university students from a university in Huancayo. The research, with a quantitative approach, used a quasi-experimental design with two non-equivalent groups. The reactive indirect observation technique was employed, and a pedagogical test was applied as the instrument to measure the level of critical thinking.
