Purpose: The aim of this article is to establish a theoretical-methodological proposal to study discursive interactivity from a multidisciplinary perspective different from the traditional structural and quantitative media research. The sociological definition of interaction and the basis of discourse analysis –as a theoretical discipline and scientific method– are assumed to propose a concept of interactivity that addresses the double materiality of the term: as a structure and a process. Methodology: Grounded theory becomes a methodological strategy and is complemented by the bibliographic-documentary method and discourse analysis. By means of theoretical sampling, codification, constant comparison and theoretical saturation, a category is determined that emerges as central, for which the following are established: conceptual definition, dimensions, subcategories and indicators. Re...

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of virtual and hybrid teaching methods, leading to substantial changes in educational approaches. This study focused on evaluating the effect of mediating technologies on post-pandemic educational processes, emphasizing their essential role in enhancing interaction and cooperation between teachers and students. Although their relevance is evident, challenges persist in terms of access, quality, and evaluation of technological educational initiatives. To address these challenges, a comprehensive literature review was conducted, examining 26 international academic studies published in the last five years. The findings indicate that mediating technologies positively influence motivation, student retention, and self-directed learning, especially in higher education and language teaching. However, the effects vary depending on the context. It is ...

In this document we present the results of a research that aimed to enhance in the students' the development of dynamic thinking about the variational nature of mathematical knowledge. We presented situations involving changes and regular patterns in the quantities studied when passing from one state to another, and whose study required students to develop cognitive processes that explain, speculate, argue, share and model the meaning of the objects under analysis. We will present the case of the geometric condition of the ellipse for students in pre-calculus courses in an environment of dynamic geometry using GeoGebra as a mediator instrument. To demonstrate the use of different representations we use as a reference, the Semiotics Representation Register which analyzes the role of signs as representative records of mathematical objects.

Digital education has transformed the teaching-learning processes and mainly the teaching role. Indeed, its mission has evolved from being a builder, selector, and transmitter of knowledge to being a companion, mediator, and motivator in the construction of knowledge. In this sense, the research analyzes the digital learning strategies applied by the teacher in virtual educational environments. For this purpose, a quantitative and qualitative study was carried out on a group of 30 participating teachers who perfected their digital skills and socialized these in their educational field. The results show considerable appreciation of digital educational resources as a fundamental part of their digital strategies, as well as teaching skills and professional training. Finally, the research determined a high adaptation and integration of digital procedures to management and teaching work.

In the age of the Internet, anonymous online users can form a societal reaction by posting large quantities of critique and insulting comments against (perceived) norm violations on social media. These so-called online firestorms, or Enjō in Japanese, tend to include aggressive behavior against the target. This research aims to reveal the dynamics of Enjō and explores how people communicate with each other in the formation process of Enjō by conducting a comparative case study. This study collects tweets posted in five Enjō cases and compares each case to create conceptual categories of the communication process of Enjō. Results show that the participants of Enjō interact with each other to define the problem of concern through exchange of information. Moreover, it is revealed that there are two types of process in the escalation of Enjō, “social problematization” and “villa...

Web 2.0 has become an important space for citizens to get together and spread their complaints on matters of public interest. In Peru, we can see this in citizen campaigns that are organized on the Internet. In 2007, the most important campaign was “Adopt a congressman”, that demanded Peruvian legislators to show their operating expenses. Another known case is “D’onofrio, far from you”, a protest against the ice-cream factory D’onofrio that took place on Facebook, Twitter and blogs. The protest was motivated by a promotion that said the factory was going to sell all of its ice creams for one sol for acouple of days. However, people had trouble finding ice cream men those days, and most of them just sold only the products that usually cost one sol. Both experiences were part of a thesis (Chauca, 2012), which aims to describe how networks of public opinion are built in Web 2.0,...

Discussion on convergence, represented in a variety of academic fields related to communication, has not included production and consumption of content, notwithstanding the relative abundance of references to convergence in Peruvian business and government papers. This is addressed by drafting a definition of convergence analyzing its specific manifestation, trying to generalize how it affects the viability of media industries and the definition of communication policy. Models of convergence are analyzed and an interpretation that helps to understand convergence as a social and cultural phenomenon is proposed.

Article analyzes the inclusion of neurosciences such as Anthropology and Ethnography in the study of online audiences. These disciplines, when used in digital environments, derive in names such as cyberanthropology, digital anthropology or virtual ethnography. These acquire relevance in the communicative processes of the people mediated by computer, influenced by the new narrative forms, proposing a more transversal and multidisciplinary approach in the study of users with the aim of knowing and detecting the needs of the same, as well as, knowing in depth the phenomenon of masses that are aligned in social networks using different mobile devices. Finally, some additional steps are suggested for the articulation of Anthropology for Cyberjournalism, exploring the implications of the disciplines treated as innovative strategies in the study of journalism and communication.

This paper offers the results of a content analysis on how Spanish media are using the 360º video feature. Unlike other conventional ways of storytelling, this new modality provides the viewer with a sensation of being really present in a reality that is only being represented, which favors a deeper and more meaningful understanding of it. The study consists of a sample of 147 360º video features produced by 19 Spanish media between January 2015 and December 2017. The results confirm a slight increase in the number of publications in 2017 and a preference for using this format to cover social issues. The main purpose of these features seems to be to show the events in their context. The use of the several techniques to increase the sense of presence is still low.
