This article has two objectives: to clarify the meaning of successful studies in the context of child support for children over 18 years of age and to define objective criteria for its provision and quantification. To this end, first of all, we will differentiate the nature of such a pension with respect to that held by minors and incapable adult children; subsequently, we will perform an axiological analysis and interpret the rules of the Civil Code involved in a literal, systematic and teleological manner. Finally, the incidence of the concept of «state of necessity» and the economic capacity of the obligor will be evaluated. The importance of this work lies in providing simple and clear criteria that facilitate argumentation and uniformity in judicial decisions.

This study originates from an analysis of the current state of child psychomotricity, where a scarcely explored situation with progress hindered by current pedagogical practices was identified. In this context, the need to organize psychomotor practice by considering strategies based on children’s characteristics and interests is emphasized. The main objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of a music-based program to enhance psychomotor development in three-year-old preschoolers. To this end, the research was designed as a pre-experimental study involving a single group of 26 children within the corresponding age range. Psychomotor performance was assessed before and after the intervention using the Psychomotricity Evaluation Scale (De la Cruz & Mazaira, 1998), which was restructured and validated (V Aiken = 0.953). Results showed that 100% of the children reached a normal leve...

It was observed that empathy predicts prosocial behaviour in children and that empathic people are less aggressive due to their emotional sensitivity and capacity to understand the potential negative consequences for themselves and others that can arise from aggression. For this reason, empathy appears negatively related to aggression and positively related to prosocial behaviour. Empathy includes cognitive processes and affective experiences, and it means at the same time a predominantly cognitive answer of understanding about other person feelings and an emotional communion. Davis (1983) defines empathy as a multidimensional construct. His scale includes cognitive components: Perspective Taking and Fantasy, and emotional components: Empathic Concern and Personal Distress. We will present the Argentine adaptation of The Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) of Davis (1980) that has 28 it...

The Primary Health Care strategy introduced concepts which sought to revolutionize the way how to achieve Health for All at the global level. The Declaration of Alma Ata was a prelude to initiatives and global plans that sought compromise to States and society in achieving access to health equity. The Summit of Action for Children and the Meeting of the Millennium, which agreed health targets to achieve by year 2015 were inspired by the concepts included in Primary Health Care. While it is true that the purposes lying below the postulates in Alma Ata were not reached, there was remarkable progress in aspects related to the Mother and Child Health. The Selective Primary Healthcare inspired the so-called “Revolution for the Child Survival”, which identified the main causes of the 15 million deaths in children recorded at the global level at the beginning of the Decade of the eighties o...

This article aims to analyse how the Peruvian legal system, in harmony with international human rights systems, protects the indigenous child’s right to access justice. The methodology applied is qualitative, documentary in nature. The results highlight the importance of promoting access to justice for indigenous children based on the special valuation of the principles of human dignity, equality and non-discrimination, and the best interests of the child, seeking to reverse any situation of vulnerability with differentiated treatment in the courts. At the beginning, the right of access to justice for indigenous children is addressed on the basis of international human rights instruments, followed by a review of the normative and jurisprudential mechanisms and public policy initiatives that the local legal system has in place to protect this right.

The article constitutes a theoretical and methodological proposal for the construction of the psychological profile of the Peruvian child. A need that arises after publishing the book on Child Psychology in 1994 and the concern for the spontaneous and recurrent changes in the educational curriculum of initial and primary education in our country. The proposal starts from assuming a dialectical materialist conception of Vygotsky's scientific psychology and cultural historical theory on human and child psychological development. A synthesis of the studies carried out on topics related to the psychology of the Peruvian child from 1940 to 1991 is also presented. It is concluded that this task will be possible with a national research policy on the psychology of the Peruvian child, the implementation of a base of national data of the investigations carried out on the subject and the elaborati...

An infant stimulation in mother-child relationship assessment scale (ISA Scale) was developed, based on a classification of probable effects on child's behavior, such as behavioral promotion stimulation (BPS) and behavioral control stimulation (BCS), refering to mother action level to promote desirable behaviors and to control socially non desirable behaviors in child's behavior repertory. 540 mother-child dyads were evaluated. The construct validity tests showed significant correlations in item analysis, between subescales along with child development measures (social maturity and aggressiveness). In addition significant correlations (p<.05) were identified in validity tests showing criteria. On the other hand, the reliability tests indicated high stability and internal consistency. During this work we verified the important influence this stimulation had on the psychological develop...

In family justice, one of the biggest challenges is to effectively guarantee the right of children to participate. Though participation implies multiple benefits for the child, such as increased self-esteem, psychological wellbeing and preventing violations of rights, it is possible to detect many obstacles for it to effectively occur in court. Among these, prioritizing adults’ interests, conditioning participation of the child to their age and lack of formal regulations were noted. The present study consists of a thematic analysis of interviews with Chilean family judges about child participation. Findings point to a consideration of the infrastructure and the institutional legal organization as not being able to guarantee and facilitate child participation in the judicial system. Lack of standardization in norms and practices inside the courts encourages judges to base their decision...

The research proposed to develop scientific learning and research skills, developing in the pre-experimental method. We executed a seeding program with cognitive and cultural exchange in 250 individuals from a Children's Assistance Complex. In this sample, urban schoolchildren (without knowledge of the use of natural resources) and of Andean origin (with knowledge of sowing and harvesting) participated. The experiment was based on the application of four didactic phases: (1) intercultural organization, (2) collaboration for analysis, (3) experimentation, (4) scientific argumentation. We found an increase in scientific learning in the sample and their abilities to formulate problems, formulate hypotheses, argue and formulate results. The proficiency and cognitive interrelation allowed this improvement, being the main contribution of the study to the science area.
