An infant stimulation in mother-child relationship assessment scale (ISA Scale) was developed, based on a classification of probable effects on child's behavior, such as behavioral promotion stimulation (BPS) and behavioral control stimulation (BCS), refering to mother action level to promote desirable behaviors and to control socially non desirable behaviors in child's behavior repertory. 540 mother-child dyads were evaluated. The construct validity tests showed significant correlations in item analysis, between subescales along with child development measures (social maturity and aggressiveness). In addition significant correlations (p<.05) were identified in validity tests showing criteria. On the other hand, the reliability tests indicated high stability and internal consistency. During this work we verified the important influence this stimulation had on the psychological develop...

An instrument for early identification of ADHD symptomatology is proposed. Data were obtained from 358 mother-child dyads in Lima and Callao, in which mothers reported on the symptomatology of their preschool children. The analyses supported the conception of symptomatology as a continuum; they corroborated the two-dimensionality of the disorder’s symptomatology (Inattention and Hyperactivity/impusivity), supported by theory and clinical practice; and in turn, they evidenced the presence of factors within each dimension (Input interference, Loss of focus, Irreflexibility, Impulsivity, Physical and Emotional Hyperactivity), also in line with the reference models. Multiple evidences of its validity are presented in order to become a functional instrument to characterize the expression of ADHD symptomatology, and from this, to focus the appropriate help at individual, family and scholar a...
