This study brings us closer to the knowledge of legal strategies to stop violence against children and adolescents by members of the family group. For this purpose, a special protection with reinforced diligence is proposed for interventions in three cases: 1. Background. Low back pain in children and adolescents is relatively frequent, however, lumbar disc herniation is rare, lesser of 2,500 cases have been reported in the literature since 1945. Clinical case: A 13 years old male with lumbar pain with associated to L5 left radicular pain, his symptomatology initiated immediate after direct trauma during sports practice, magnetic resonance study showed disc herniation L4 / L5, adding paresis of muscles innervated by L5 root, so discoidectomy was performed, derived to rehabilitation with muscle strength recovery of involved muscles. Apert syndrome accounts for 5% of all craniosynostosis syndromes and shows a prevalence of 1 in 60000 live births. Is one of the five craniosynostosis syndromes associated with single mutations in the Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2 (FGF-R2) gene, with chromosomal localization at 10q26. The purpose of this paper was to describe a case of Apert syndrome, show Pediatric dentistry managementand discuss their craniofacial features in an 8-year-old boy who presented Craniosynostosis, turribrachycephaly, syndactylies of the hands and feet, with multiple intraoral features.

There is an increase in the number of children who are identified as gifted, and exhibit a learning disorder as well. This condition is known as dual exceptionality. However, there are few empirical studies about this topic. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to pres- ent a case study of a gifted child who was in the process of being diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. Interviews were conducted with the child, the mother and professionals that served him. Psychological, neurological and phonological evaluations carried out with the boy were analyzed. The mother and professionals raised further explanations for the child’s behavior. The difficulties in the diagnostic process and the need for a multidisciplinary approach are explored.

Recurrent aphthous stomatitis (minor, major or herpetic) is one of the most frequent bucodental diseases, of multifactorial etiology and with genetic predisposition. The diagnosis of this pathology is clinical, and based on the clinical history it can be discriminated with other ulcerative pathologies. Objetive: To describe a pediatric case with initial diagnosis of lymph node tuberculosis (TB) that became multidrug resistant miliar and meningeal tuberculosis (TB-MDR) due to treatment dropout twice. Case report: a 4-year-old boy with initial diagnosis of lymph node tuberculosis who had two episodes of dropout from the sensitive scheme treatment. Three months later, there was evidence of bilateral involvement suggestive of miliary TB. During hospitalization, he developed meningeal tuberculosis and hydrocephalus. Due to the history of treatment dropout, a sensitivity of gastric aspirate study was requested, identifying it as multidrug-resistant TB. Introduction: Branchial arch malformations originate from the incomplete obliteration of the clefts and pouches in embryological development, constituting the second cause of congenital head and neck mass in pediatric ages. Case of report: The clinical presentation depends on the branchial arch involved. We present the case of a 2-year-old boy who presented frequent episodes of stridor and intermittent fever since 6 months after birth. Computed tomography showed a cystic-looking lesion located in the right pharyngeal mucosal space with extension to the oropharynx. The lesion was resected by a transoral endoscopic approach. The pathological report was compatible with a branchial cyst of the second pharyngeal pouch. Conclusion: The diagnostic suspicion of congenital branchial malformations and their correct identification are essential for timely treatment in pediatric ages.

Ankylosis is a dental anomaly of unknown etiology that causes bone bridges between the root cement and the alveolar bone that can lead to different dental problems. The objective of this case report is to present interceptive orthodontic treatment for a class I malocclusion in a 7-year-old boy. This treatment was proposed considering that the patient presented incomplete first phase mixed dentition and the clinical absence of teeth 55, 85, 16 and 46. Two ankylosed deciduous teeth were extracted and the occlusal face of the permanent teeth was operculectomy. The headgear was used in the maxilla and the labioactive plate or lip Bumper in the mandible, which made it possible to recover the space lost for the correct eruption of the permanent pieces. Early intervention through treatment allows partial correction of the malocclusion and prevents the problem from worsening.

Background: We describe an 8-month-old boy with leukemia and SARS-CoV-2 infection who developed Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon. He had a positive SARS-COV-2 RT-PCR sample. Hematologic tests showed coagulopathy and intestinal involvement. Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a common pediatric neuromuscular disease characterized by progressive muscle weakness, hypotonia, and symmetrical muscle atrophy. In Peru, the treatment of SMA primarily involves the use of the drugs risdiplam and nusinersen. We present the case of a seven-year-old boy with SMA type 2 treated with risdiplam. The patient was referred to the cardiology department of a national pediatric referral center in Lima, Peru. The patient exhibited quadriparesis, hypotonia, preserved osteotendinous reflexes, intact sensory function, and the ability to stand with support.
