The efficacy of preventive analgesia and the cardiopulmonary effects of morphine or methadone in rabbits undergoing experimental skin surgery were evaluated and compared. Thirty-six rabbits were randomly assigned to three experimental groups: Control, Morphine, and Methadone. The rabbits received midazolam 1 mg/kg IM associated with: placebo (NaCl 0.9%) 0.05 ml/kg, methadone 0.5 mg/kg or morphine 0.5 mg/kg, depending on the experimental group. Anaesthesia was induced and maintained with isoflurane. Heart (HR) and respiratory (fR) rates, peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2), mean arterial pressure (MAP), and body temperature were assessed every 10 minutes. The follicular dynamics was evaluated by ultrasonography in Brown Swiss cattle subjected to a protocol of synchronization of estrus with progestogens in the Peruvian highlands. Three groups of Brown Swiss cattle of nine females each were evaluated. The groups were: lactating cows (<120 and >260 days in milk) and heifers. For synchronization, on day 0 a progesterone-based intravaginal device was applied, and 2 mg estradiol benzoate was injected, on day 8 the device was removed and 0.15 mg cloprostenol and 400 IU eCG were applied, and on day 10 1.05 mg GnRH was applied. In the last 25 years, action protocols have been executed and implemented in a successful manner before endemics, epidemics and pandemics, such as Influenza, Ebola and SARS.What we have been observing in the last 3 months makes us reflect on the reactions before this global emergency and the ethical problems that have emerged due to COVID-19. The effect of six cryoprotective solutions based on MgCl2 and methanol, in addtion with sucrose and 10% Aloe vera gel or 10% egg yolk, on the sperm viability in spermatophore and sperm mass of Litopenaeus vannamei was evaluated. Besides, cooling rates of -0.5, -1 and -2 °C/min were used until temperature reached -35, -80 and -100 °C prior to immersion in liquid nitrogen. The sperm viability rate was determined by eosin-nigrosin staining. The results showed that the solutions based on MgCl2, sucrose plus egg yolk or Aloe vera gel better preserved sperm viability in spermatophore (82.8 ± 2.3% and 72.6 ± 3.1%) and in sperm mass (83.4 ± 2.5% and 76 ± 1.1%) without significant differences with the control group (p>0.05). Surgical treatment of third molars frequently requires a prophylactic antibiotic protocol and pharmacological treatment after surgery. Analyzing these protocols was the objective of this study. For this, electronic searches were carried out in the main databases (PubMed, SciELO, Science and academic institutional repositories of different universities) in which trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyzes, theses and studies of different types were identified. This work aims to study which wireless sensor network routing protocol is more suitable for Smart Grids applications, through simulation of AODV protocols, AOMDV, DSDV and HTR in the NS2 simulation environment. Was simulated a network based on a residential area with 47 residences, with one node for each residence and one base station, located about 25m from the other nodes. Many parameters, such as packet loss, throughput, delay, jitter and energy consumption were tested. The network was increased to 78 and 93 nodes in order to evaluate the behavior of the protocols in larger networks. The tests proved that the HTR is the routing protocol that has the best results in performance and second best in energy consumption. The DSDV had the worst performance according to the tests.

The study evaluated the repeatability of the superovulatory response in 12 Australian Merino ewes during the breeding season in one (G1), three (G2), and four (G3) consecutive years. A modified protocol was used based on 200 mg pFSH in eight decreasing doses (12-h intervals) and supportive strategies such as changing the CIDR at day 7, spraying the horns with heparinized saline during the procedure, and use of Flunixin Meglumine. No significant differences were found in the total number of structures recovered during the years of application of the superovulation protocol (G1=8±2, G2=18±3, G3=19±4; p>0.05). High repeatability was observed, both for the total number of embryos and for the number of transferable embryos in G2 and G3. Superovulatory treatment for 3 and 4 successive years did not affect the efficacy of embryo retrieval.

From January 1995 to February 1996 in the Department of Surgery at Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital (General Surgery Service N° 5) we resolved to prepare a protocol of assessment and/or nutritional support in patients who are awaiting for surgery or who recently has undergone surgery. Our porponse is to decrease the morbimortality rate. After several work meetings, we resolved to offer this protocol for its aplication, as well as evaluation and follow up of the patients.

La aplicación de la fuente transmisora usa los datos de los informes de estadísticas recibidos para el cálculo de las métricas de QOS. The aim of this study was to evaluate two protocols for oestrus synchronization using intravaginal progestogens. In the study, 64 ewes with lambs at foot of 30-40 days old were used. The animals were assigned to two groups: (T1): application of a short synchronization protocol (6 days) with suppression of suckling for 30 hours (n1=32) and (T2): application of a long or conventional protocol (12 days) with suppression of suckling for 54 hours (n2=32). Fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) was performed with refrigerated semen through the transcervical route at the end of temporary weaning. The pregnancy rate without heat return at 16-17 days post-FTAI, pregnancy rate at 41 days by ultrasound, pregnancy rate at 90 days by balloting and type of delivery were determined. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of misoprostol using the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2017 protocol for medical management of first trimester abortion. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed between March and September 2018. Seventy-six patients diagnosed with first trimester spontaneous abortion were managed following the FIGO 2017 protocol for medical management of first trimester abortion. Results: Main indications for inclusion of the 76 patients were missed abortion 57.9%, incomplete abortion 25%, and anembryonic pregnancy 17.1%. Medical induction with misoprostol followed the FIGO 2017 protocol for medical management of first trimester abortion.
