This article presents the construction process and analysis of the psychometric properties of the Postpartum Posttraumatic Stress Inventory (PTSD-PAR). This instrument was administered to 360 women who gave birth in a hospital and 317 who were attended in a clinic. The instrument evidences content validity with Aiken coeffcient scores higher than .80. An exploratory factor analysis was carried where a four-factor model was obtained. In the confirmatory factor analysis, adequate indices of goodness of fit of the model were obtained, therefore, the new dimensions of the test are: negative perception of childbirth, altered mood, cognitive impairment that hinders attachment, and altered alert state. Bartonella bacilliformis is the etiologic agent of Carrion's disease, which if endemic to Peru. Studies on antimicrobial resistance genes from clinical isolates of this pathogen are scarce, and the molecular characteristics of these genes and their region resistance-associated are currently unknown. In this work we made the molecular characterization of the quinolone-resistance, and establish the region (QRDR) for the topoisomerase IV, which is encoded by the parC and parE genes, as well as develop an antimicrobial susceptibility test for B. bacilliformis. 65 Blood samples from La Libertad, Cusco, Ancash and Piura were processed on Blood Agar plates and incubated at 30 °C, 5% CO2. This study has the goal of comprehending the process of decentralization of the educational policies on the municipality management, aiming at the identification of the autonomy of the municipality on the elaboration and implementation of the Joint Action Plan (PAR) in four different locations in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in the period 2007-2010, technically and financially supported by the Union. The methodology is based both on quantitative and qualitative aspects and uses documental and content analysis as tools. This study investigated how advertisers from the creation area of large advertising agencies perceive and characterize their creative process. Thirteen Brazilian professionals were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed by content analysis. Results indicate that several stages of the creative process overlap, such as the incubation period of one job functioning as the preparation for the next. Motivating factors include pleasure of the act of creating, media visibility and its social reach. Limiting factors include the agencies’ excessive departmentalization, reduced deadlines, and the clients’ subjectivity influencing the advertisement approval.

In this article we analyze the value of truth in transition processes, when after going through totalitarian regimes there is a special difficulty in achieving justice. The author develops the work that the specially created bodies have done for these cases and the sense that the truth acquires within the criminal processes. Finally, two examples of how similar processes have occurred in a couple of countries are presented.

Se obtuvieron diecinueve VHHs (dominios variables únicos de los anticuerpos de cadena pesada) que unen a CD105 (endoglina) humano, un co-receptor endotelial de TFG-β implicado en la regulación de la angiogénesis y el desarrollo de tumores, mediante screening por phage display de una biblioteca de ADNc de VHH obtenida de alpacas inmunizadas con un lisado de una línea celular de cáncer de vejiga que sobreexpresa CD105 (T24). Las secuencias de los VHH se analizaron con ExPASY, GeneDoc y BLAST y mostraron las características estructurales típicas de los VHHs. This article analyzes different adhesives for the process of gluing parts for sports shoes in a company located in the city of Purisima del Rincon in Guanajuato, México. The analysis employs statistical engineering tools and an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology. The case studied deals with an issue with gluing parts. The general objective of this research was to verify and analyze qualitatively the repertoire of learning strategies used by students with and without learning difficulties under literacy process. Eight 8-year-old students participated in the research, being four from the Regular Education Classroom and four from the Resource Room. It was applied, individually, a semi-structured interview. The results evidenced higher frequency in the use of cognitive strategies and differences between both students’ groups regarding the use of cognitive and resource administration strategies. The dysfunctional strategies showed themselves with higher frequency by the students from the Resource Room. It is suggested that the teachers improve their knowledge on learning strategies, in order to enable their students a more meaningful and autonomous learning.

Analyze the elements of family communication associated with the coming out process of sexual orientation. Qualitative research with narrative design by topics. A content analysis of 12 interviews with three gay sons, three lesbian daughters and 6 mothers was done. Intrafamilial, contextual, and intrapsychic contents of communication were related to gender stereotypes, education, family support, religion, self-discovery, and acceptance. The assertive style dominated, although the passive and aggressive style were common before and during the disclosure. The strategies were divided into direct and indirect verbal and non-verbal. The contents of the communication are transformed with the disclosure process, while the styles and strategies seek to reestablish the homeostasis of the families.

This dissertation investigates the potential improvement of volcanic eruption understanding and forecasting methods by using advanced data processing techniques to analyze large datasets at three target volcanoes (Piton de la Fournaise (PdlF) (France), Sabancaya, and Ubinas (Peru)). The central objective of this study is to search for possible empirical relationships between the pre-eruptive behavior of the accelerated increase in seismic activity using the Failure Forecast Method (FFM) and velocity variations measured by Coda Wave Interferometry (CWI), since both observations are reported to be independently associated with medium damage.
