The goal of the present work is to study some properties and applications of the Gamma Function, denoted by Γ. Initially, we use the Lebesgue Integral Theory in order to prove that the improper integral given by Γ is convergent. We describe the extended domain property of Γ, and we also deduce some elementary properties. We present two different ways of proving that B(x, y) = Γ(x)Γ(y)/Γ(x+y) , where B is the Beta Function. Finally, we include some applications of the Gamma Function, between them some serve up as tools on Reliability Engineering.

The aim of this study was to characterize the semen of the Peruvian Hairless Dog. Fifteen males, aged 1 to 5 years, registered by the Kennel Club Peruano were used to collect semen (one ejaculated per male) by digital manipulation. A basic spermatogram was performed and macroscopic (volume and colour) and microscopic (sperm motility and concentration, using light field microscopy) characteristics were recorded. Additionally, sperm function tests were performed: sperm viability (using SYBR-14 and propidium iodide), mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP, using MitoTraker Deep Red FM), and acrosomal integrity (using FITC-PSA and propidium iodide) and analysed by flow cytometry with image analysis. This article intends to analyze treatment and functions assigned to the penalty by our Peruvian Constitution and the way this legal institution is conducted at the prescribed basic penalty level (imposed by the legislator ineach type of criminal offence), the specific penalty level (imposed by the judge according to its individual characteristics in each case) and at the penitentiary enforcement level. Finally recommends some considerations for carrying out a possible legislative reform in accordance with a criminal policy plan within our constitutional framework.

Legitimacy of criminal sanction is originated on its own purposes pursued in a state governed by the Rule of Law. That legitimacy should include the penalty as well as security measures, bearing in mind that both are imposed to someone breaking a rule of conduct, and therefore, someone capable to do it. En este trabajo se propone una descripción de los factores pragmáticos y formales que se correlacionan con las secuencias que se desvían del orden básico de los constituyentes en quechua. Se asume como orden básico de esta lengua a la estructura SOV y se vincula a la secuencia OVS con la focalización del sujeto y el estilo directo; a OSV, con la topicalización del objeto; a VSO y VOS, con un foco oracional de contraexpectación y con argumentos focalizados o pesados; y finalmente, a SVO, con la focalización del objeto y el establecimiento de conclusiones. It is tried to determine if significant differences exist in the lexical wealth in function of the school grade and of the type of educational, state center or matter. With a sample of 2956 students to those that it was evaluated with the Test of Wealth and of Lexical Precision built by André King (1962). The data were analyzed by means of the factorial analysis of variance for the individual effect and cocktail and the Analysis of Variance of a Factor for design multigroup. Objective: To determine the association between depression and functional dependence in elderly patients of the Centro Geriátrico Naval (Peruvian naval medical center for elderly people). Materials and methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, analytic study conducted from a secondary data analysis, with a convenience sample size of 625 elderly people. Results: In the linear regression analysis which predicts functional dependence according to the Barthel Index, it was found that, for each point in the Yesavage questionnaire, the Barthel Index score decreases 4.8±1.82 points and, for every 5 points, it decreases 29.99±3.62 points.
