El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar las principales situaciones de indicación, contraindicación y accionar profiláctico para la exodoncia de terceros molares, según la literatura. Se utilizaron las bases de datos PubMed, Scopus y Web of Science, con un total de 3 llaves de búsqueda, y se incluyeron publicaciones de máximo 5 años de antigüedad, en inglés o español, con disponibilidad de texto completo. Fueron seleccionados 18 artículos, en los que se determinó que la indicación más frecuente en la exodoncia de terceros molares fue el diagnóstico de pericoronaritis, seguido de caries cervical distal en segundo molar inferior, reabsorción radicular en dientes adyacentes y quistes. Plant DNA and RNA extraction methods are well established, with a wide range of protocols, depending on the purposes of each laboratory/research. Nowadays, quick, inexpensive and easy plant DNA and RNA extraction methods are highly sought after. We developed an optimized protocol for plant DNA and RNA extraction that uses an inexpensive bench drill and plastic bags and does not require liquid nitrogen. DNA from leaves and RNA from leaves and roots of banana, pineapple, citrus, papaya, passion fruit and cassava, were extracted using a basic cetyltrimethylammonium bromide method. Both nucleic acids were quantified and evaluated for quality based on agarose gel electrophoresis. Diabetes is a metabolic disorder, caused by an increase in blood glucose, which commonly affects a large population worldwide. That is why diabetic patients in certain cases require dental care, due to their high prevalence of oral problems or the need for third molar extraction. Due to the above, a bibliographic review was carried out in the Scielo, Pubmed, and Google Scholar databases. There were no language restrictions and 130 articles were considered, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 50 articles with a maximum age of 5 years were selected. A fast, simple and reliable method for the extraction of DNA from Gossypium barbadense radioinduced mutants has been developed. This method is cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (cTAB) based, and it extracts DNA from seed leaves processed in a 1.5 mL tube with 0.7 mL of extraction buffer; is highly efficient to cotton tissue and much cheaper in terms of time, chemical use and labor input. The described protocol presents consistent yield and good quality of DNA for several molecular analyses (AFLP, SSR, etc.).

Actualmente es posible determinar el estatus de especies silvestres mediante el análisis de ADN extraído de muestras no invasivas como las heces. Three methods of DNA extraction methods were used: Ethanol-Sodium Hydroxide (EtNa), Chelex® 100 chelating resin and the PureLink® Genomic DNA Mini Kit commercial extraction case. This case report describes the orthopedic-orthodontic treatment of a 15-year-old adolescent attended the Dental Center at the University of San Martín de Porres, indicating that his chief complaint was the appearance of his smile. The patient presented a straight profile with a protruding lower lip and a class III skeletal malocclusion (ANB, -2 °), with class III occlusal relations, moderate-severe crowding, right posterior and anterior crossbite, and dentoalveolar compensations. Objectives: To evaluate the clinical effects and radiographically analyze the effectiveness of fibrin-rich plasma (FRP) in post-extraction bone preservation in a resource-limited community, considering its potential to mitigate complications and facilitate future rehabilitation. Materials and Methods: A case series was conducted in San Vicente Chicoloapan, State of Mexico, analyzing four patients treated with FRP after dental extractions. The protocol included centrifugation of blood at 1300 rpm for 8 minutes to obtain FRP, which was placed in the alveolus after extraction. Introduction: Cough is a key symptom of tuberculosis (TB) as well as the main cause of transmission. However, a recent literature review found that cough frequency (number of coughs per hour) in patients with TB has only been studied once, in 1969. The main aim of this study is to describe cough frequency patterns before and after the start of TB treatment and to determine baseline factors that affect cough frequency in these patients. Secondarily, we will evaluate the correlation between cough frequency and TB microbiological resolution. In the implant rehabilitations supported in the previous sector, a surgical and prosthetic protocol should be carried out as a mechanism to ensure the aesthetics and function of the procedure to be performed. The objective of this clinical case is to present a rehabilitation protocol in a soft tissue test and management document to preserve aesthetics through provisional prosthetic structures, ending with rehabilitation with the zirconium oxide abutment with titanium base and a crown of lithium disilicate as means to achieve high aesthetics. The prediction of a unitary implant in the anterior sector requires the clinician to know three-dimensional structures conjugated with a soft tissue and material handling in an appropriate way, to predict the medium- or long-term behavior in the protection and prevention of aesthetics.

“Parkinson’s disease (PD) is an emerging pandemic caused by aging, longevity, and industrialization. Most people diagnosed with PD initially experience mild symptoms, but over time the symptoms become debilitating. Given their intensive care requirement, most married people living with PD receive care from their spouses; most are female caregivers. Because caregiving is hard work with long hours, caregivers experience stress, fatigue, and depression, often leading to exhaustion and burnout.
