Objective: To determine the relationship between competency-based management and job performance of the administrative staff at EPS Seda Huánuco S. A., as of 2023. Materials and Methods: This research is of an applied type, with a correlational level, using a non-experimental correlational design. The population and sample comprised the 57 employees of Seda Huánuco, to whom a survey technique was applied, using a questionnaire as the instrument. To determine the results and test the formulated hypotheses, descriptive statistics were applied for frequency tables and graphs, as well as inferential statistics, where the correlation index was interpreted. Results: The results showed that competency-based management is significantly related to job performance. This is inferred from the level of significance obtained in inferential analysis or hypothesis testing, which was p = 0,000 < 0,0...

The aim of this study was to determine the knowledge of the population of Lima about the professional functions of the veterinarian (VM) A study was developed based on virtual surveys aimed at residents of Metropolitan Lima, in which recognized functions of veterinary doctors were shown. The respondents had to give their opinion if the functions corresponded exclusively to the VM, shared with other professions or if they were attributed to other professions. In total, 671 valid surveys were obtained. The main functions attributed exclusively to the VM were to treat or prevent diseases in pets (87.6%), to promote responsible pet ownership (76.8%), to control dogs or other stray animals (67.5%), to investigate the form of transmission of animal diseases (62.4%). Likewise, the functions attributed to the VM and other professionals were: rescuing animals in disaster situations (60.7%), educa...

This work analyses the use of Spanish (mother tongue) by pre-service teachers (N=55) during a class activity that consists of explaining and solving Primary Education (6-12) mathematical problems in English (foreign language). The objectives are established in the form of three research questions about the amount of frequency of Spanish; its functional categories according to the original classification of De la Campa and Nassaji (2009); and the lack of competence in English of the participants. This is a mixed-method research since it includes both quantitative and qualitative data, collected through a questionnaire; the recordings of the pre-service teachers’ discourse; and a virtual interview. The novelty of the study lies in a new functional category: lack of foreign language competence, which precedes others such as personal comment, activity instruction, arbitrary code-mixing, an...

Digital competences in teachers imply the development of functional capacities for the progress of virtual educational activities, and due to the current context (global health crisis), they need them as a priority of technology to insert themselves into digital citizenship. In the educational task, precisely in the work performance of the teaching staff, they serve as tools that provide sustainability for the development of virtual education. The objective of this research is to review the theories and foundations of digital skills in teachers located between the years 2017 and 2021. The applied methodology is the systematic review with processes of review, selection and analysis of 441 articles. 40 scientific documents were compiled under criteria of selection of the literature. The results conclude that digital competences are the skills that empower the individual to use digital medi...

One of the resources speakers of Spanish and other languages usually employ in the communication process, especially in the oral aspect, is that of phraseologicaJ units (PU). Among these units, some like metaphors, idioms or paremias (sayings, proverbs, idioms, quotations, maxims, adages, aphorisms, slogans) are frequently used in situations of real or natural (colloquial) conversation, no matter what the topic of communication is. These units studied by lexicography occur, practically, in all natural languages, as shown by our bibliographic research, as well as by our collection of synchronic oral data. The Spanish language used in Peru also presents these units, which have fixed, complex structures, and some, such as idioms, topic of the present article, have a lexical value, and, as such, perform syntactic functions in their relationship with other simple linguistic units.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the experience of forming the competence of bachelors' readiness to work in a team. This competence is characterized by the ability of the student to realize their role in the team and to carry out social interaction, to focus on cooperation with team members. The requirements for training modern bachelors who are capable of continuous personal and professional growth through effective collective work are reflected in regulatory documents. In the structure of the competence of readiness to work in a team, we distinguish motivational, cognitive and functional components. Positive Youth Development (PYD) is an approach that promotes resilience and focuses on youth strengths rather than their weaknesses as done by the traditional deficit-based perspective. Research in Europe and North America show that developmental assets are associated with school success, psychological well-being, and lower health risks among youth and young adults. However, not much research has been done on these associations in Latin American contexts. The purpose of this research study is to assess the association between substance use behaviors, such as drunkenness and the use of illicit drugs, and mental health, together with the mediating role of developmental assets representing youth strengths (e.g., social competence) and contextual resources (e.g., social support at home or school). Cross-national data was collected from Colombian (n = 210; 70.4% females) and Peruvian (n = 34...

“The objective of the research was to evaluate the consistency of different training proposals, proposing as a reference a competency-based curriculum planning model. Qualitative methodology was used from an interpretive paradigm, making use of inductive and deductive analysis at the same time. Inductively, observations were generated through documentary analysis, interviews with experts, and a focus group with university professors, who then deductively derived interpretations and forecasts regarding curricular planning. As a result, it was obtained that the designed model, based on the triangulation of the information collected, allowed evaluating and determining the strengths and weaknesses of the priority elements of the university curriculum: the graduation profile, the study plan and the evaluation system. The main conclusion was that it is necessary to have clear parameters for ...

This research is the product of professional experience in the Directorate of Tutelary Research (now the Directorate of Special Protection) in 2015, where the Social Worker function has been performed. Hence, its contents inquire about the influence and importance of the social aspect in the determination and impact of protection measures towards a child, girl or adolescent in an alleged state of abandonment, which is reflected in the identification of the Social worker competencies in this field of action. The theory that guides the procedures and the methodology used as well as the analysis of the information responds to the social sciences. Therefore, aspects such as history, economic and political influence are closely related when assessing the situation of children, with their problems as well as in their solutions.

Early mathematical competencies have a great impact on academic performance and on the development of more complex mathematical skills, especially in early education. Several authors have highlighted the importance of working memory and inhibition in the development of these mathematical skills; however, there is no agreement regarding the explanatory capacity of these executive domains with respect to differentiated performance in mathematics. The aim of this research was to evaluate the predictive capacity of verbal and visuospatial working memory and of behavioral and cognitive inhibition in mathematical competencies of relational logic and numerical type in 106 Chilean children of early education between 4 and 6 years old, who were evaluated with four executive tasks and an early mathematical assessment test. For data analysis, correlations and multiple linear regressions were perfor...
