Life aspirations are considered one of the most relevant components for human beings to give meaning and purpose to their existence. Different studies emphasized the relevance of intrinsic life aspirations to promote life satisfaction. However, few studies analyze the specific role of the intrinsic aspirations that have been recently categorized as self-transcendent. Self-transcendent aspirations are focused on helping others and improving society and, consequently, are considered aspirations whose purpose transcends oneself. Studies that distinguish the role of dispositional and situational moral emotions in bullying situations remain limited in the international literature. This work, therefore, aims to analyze the role of dispositional and situational moral emotions in bullying and prosocial behavior in adolescents. Two studies were conducted: a cross-sectional study including 644 adolescents aged 14–18 years (M = 15.6, DT = 1.4) and a repeated measures design including 235 adolescents aged 10–15 years (M = 12.5, DT = 0.9). Recently, studies linking the emotion of dispositional gratitude to cyberbullying have attracted attention. However, this is still a seminal research area that requires further scientific studies. Through longitudinal data, this study aims to analyze the mitigating effect of gratitude on cybervictimization and two indicators of adolescent subjective well-being, namely school and life satisfaction. To this end, 221 adolescents attending private schools in Peru (age: mean (M) = 12.09; standard deviation (SD) = 0.89) were selected to respond to a self-administered questionnaire in two waves that were six months apart. Descriptive data show that 27% of cybervictims also suffer other types of traditional bullying. In a context characterized by structural transformations and the credibility crisis of journalism, media accountability is of outmost importance. Focusing on the Spanish context, this article examines journalists’ and citizens’ perceptions of in-house accountability instruments. To do so, an online survey was administered to Spanish journalists, six citizen focus groups were established and 19 in-depth interviews were conducted with experts and representatives from professional associations. The results reveal that journalists’ evaluation of media accountability instruments is modest. From the citizens’ perspective, the lack of visibility and relative distrust toward these instruments are highlighted. Virus-like particles have been synthetized from a self-assembling L1 protein, using celular and bacterial expresion systems. Human papillomavirus (HPV) virus-like particle prophylactic vaccines are effective in preventing infection and lesions caused by the targeted HPV type. Clinical trials with 3 vaccine prototypes (HPV16, other with HPV 16/18 and other with 6/11/16/18) have demonstrated their safety, immunogenicity and efficacy to prevent CIN 2/3, immediate precursors of invasive cervical carcinoma. Vaccination programs with adequate coverage would have the potential to substantially reduce morbidity and mortality related to cervical cancer. This paper presents data from clinical trials of the above mentioned vaccines.

Es el caso de Allpanchis, "Nuestra tierra". En estas páginas daré mis impresiones personales sobre una revista cuyo enfoque y temática andina rebalsa esas ficticias fronteras estatales que hoy parten el mundo andino. Quieren ser también un homenaje a una revista que siempre he guardado cerca, bien al alcance de la mano, y a quienes la hicieron y siguen haciendo posible. 

This work is a sociological and anthropological analysis of one of the main celebrations of the type of pilgrimage within the valleys of Cochabamba. Descriptions and analyzes of festivals and ritual celebrations abound in Andean literature. But in the vast majority of cases they are local or regional festivals of a patronal type, descriptions of pilgrimages are less frequent, although some are not lacking, such as that of Ramírez (1969) on the novena of Qoyllur Rit'i near from Cuzco. There are parts of the Andes where pilgrimages are almost non-existent, such as among the Aymara (Albó, in press).

Desde la asunción al poder del nuevo gobierno democrático de Hernán Siles, en octubre de 1982, se habló mucho de una nueva campaña de alfabetización y educación popular. Las críticas circunstancias económicas y políticas que permanentemente estuvieron zarandeando al nuevo gobierno durante sus casi tres años en el poder no permitieron llevar adelante ninguna campaña masiva. Pero sí llegó a constituirse una oficina especializada, llamada SENALEP (servicio Nacional de Alfabetización y Educación Popular), que sistematizó un nuevo modelo de educación popular inter-cultural, produjo una serie de materiales innovativos, y promocionó varias experiencias educativas de este nuevo marco referencial.

Belisario Boeto es una provincia relativamente pequeña, con 15,000 habitantes y una densidad de 8 habitantes por km2. Su capital, Villa Serrano, es el único núcleo importante, con unos 3,000 habitantes. La siguiente población, Mendoza, sólo tiene un centenar de familias. El resto de la población está disperso en unas 170 comunidades pequeñas que, en el mejor de los casos, sólo llegan a tener 30 familias, y en muchos casos no llegan ni a 10. Está en las estribaciones andinas que descienden desde un máximo de 3,840m. hasta los 900 m. en las márgenes del río Grande.

The essay seeks to contribute to the understanding of participatory mapping, a methodology used to reflect on and represent the territory based on the territorial and social communities’ knowledge and participation. For this, firstly, a framework is built for the comparative analysis of the experiences of participatory mapping, which is based on four categories (the participating actors, the production process, the purpose, and the result). Secondly, that analytical framework is applied to two social organizations in Latin America: Iconoclasistas, in Argentina, and CACAO, in Mexico. Both groups have a formal organization, a vast trajectory, and digital presence. For their analysis, a documentary review of their web pages and publications (including maps and other materials) were carried out. The results allow us to conclude that the proposed analytical framework is functional.
