The aim of this study was to identify the prognostic factors related to the survival of patients with sarcomas of the jaw treated in the Dr. Eduardo Caceres Graziani National Institute for Neoplastic Diseases, Lima, Peru. Age, gender, delay in consultation, diagnostic delay, therapeutic delay, tumor size, tumor location, facial asymmetry, pain, treatment type, and histopathological diagnosis were all evaluated as possible prognostic factors that would influence survival in those with jaw sarcomas. In the analysis, the following was used: mortality tables, Kaplan-Meier's product-limit method, log-rank, and Breslow and Tarone-Ware tests; for the prognostic factors, Cox's Regression Model was used. Objective: To evaluate the prophylactic analgesic effect of paracetamol and ibuprofen administered before the extraction of deciduous teeth in children. Materials and methods: Sixty children of 6 to 8 years of age were evaluated and attended the Dental Center of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of San Martín de Porres, which were distributed in three groups, each of 20 children: group paracetamol, ibuprofen group and the control group. In the first two, the corresponding drug was administered orally 30 minutes before surgery (paracetamol 15 mg / kg or Ibuprofen 10 mg / kg). Objective: To determine the relationship between the inclination of the articular eminence and the presence of morphological alterations of the temporomandibular condyles. Materials and methods: We studied 91 patients (182 temporomandibular joints) convex-beam volumetric tomograms belonging to patients of the Radiology Service of the Clinic Specialized in Dentistry of the San Martin de Porres University from 2014 to 2016. Results: When we have a value p <0.01 we can see that there is a relation of the inclination of the articular eminence with the morphological alterations of this eminence. Objective: To compare the prevalence of dental caries through the DMFT /dmft index with the low academic performance in schoolchildren at a public school in Lima. Methods: Observational, analytical, cross-sectional, prospective design. The sample was made up of schoolchildren aged 10 to 12 from the Fortaleza de Vitarte Educational Institution No. 1239, from the period 2019. The sample size was made up of 136 schoolchildren who met the inclusion criteria. Dental evaluations were performed after dental hygiene and a record of the odontogram was taken using the DMFT / dmft index, to determine the presence of dental caries. To determine the relationship between dental caries disease and the level of knowledge about oral health of parents with children from 36 to 71 months of age. The methodological design was observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, and correlational, and the sample consisted of 123 children enrolled in the IEI N ° 161 "Carapongo" during the year 2018. Objetive: To determine the prevalence of clinical characteristics in deciduous dentition and its association with sex and age in children from 3 to 5 years old. Objective: To determine the color stability of three provisional dental materials when immersed in two pigment agents. Materials and methods: it is an experimental, analytical, prospective and longitudinal study. A total of 270 discs 15 mm in diameter and 1 mm thick were made with 3 temporary dental materials: bisacrylic resin (Luxatemp Star) color A1, acrylic resin (Alike) color 59 and PMMA self-curing (Vitalloy) color 59 being submerged 30 of each sample in purple corn, coffee and distilled water (control). Objectives: To assess discrepancies in cephalometric measurements from digital lateral radiography and virtual cone-beam computed assisted tomography cephalogram. Materials and methods: Forty digital lateral radiographs and forty virtual cephalograms obtained by cone-beam computed assisted tomography were analyzed, corresponding to forty patients from the nstituto de Diagnóstico Maxilofacial in Lima, Peru. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the association between anthropometric parameters and the prevalence of dental caries and its clinical consequences among children from the Señor de los Milagros preschool in Santa Anita, Lima. Materials and Methods: In this analytical cross-sectional study, 100 children from 5 to 6 years of age were examined. Objective: The objective of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of a training program in PPR design in students of the Stomatological Internship course at Faculty of Dentistry of the University of San Martin de Porres. Materials and Methods: The sample consisted of 70 students, a 20-question cognitive questionnaire and a procedural evaluation were taken for each one at 2 different moments, before and after carrying out a training program in PPR design. Objective: To determine the epidemiological profile of malignant melanoma cases treated at the National Institute for Neoplastic Diseases "Dr. Eduardo Caceres Graziani" (INEN) over the period 1952 to 2008. Study design: All clinical records with complete data of patients presenting a histopathological diagnosis of malignant melanoma of the oral cavity were reviewed. Data such as age, gender, location, tumor size, disease length, presence of metastasis, treatment received and year of admission were recorded. Results: During the study period 97 cases were found. Oralantral comunication is a surgical complication that manifests itself with the connection of the oral cavity and the maxillary sinus . Its etiology is related multiple factors. For its diagnosis and treatment it is necessary evaluate clinical caracteristics like the symtoms associated with the oralantral communication, onset and the size it manifests itself. If the oralantral comunication is not corrected , inflamatory and infectuos conditions can occur in the maxillary sinus .

ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to present the casuistic of mucoepidermoid carcinoma of salivary glands in patients diagnosed at “Dr. Eduardo Cáceres Graziani” National Institute for Neoplastic Diseases, Lima, Perú. From January 2002 to December 2012, 51 cases were diagnosed as mucoepidermoid carcinoma. The number of female patients was higher, with 28 cases (54.9%), and regarding age distribution, 33.3% of the patients were under 30 years old. Pain was one of the main symptoms, and 74.5% of the mucoepidermoid carcinomas were located in the parotid gland. It is concluded that epidemiology regarding age and gender of the 51 cases analyzed was in the same range as other studies, and that most cases were located in major salivary glands, in agreement with reports on other populations. Objective: To determine the microleakage at cervical third in three endodontic obturation techniques in diaphanized teeth. Materialsand Methods: 18 single root premolars were sectioned, instrumented and divided into four groups (n = 18) and sealed by techniquesusing: G1 ultrasound; G2 thermo-mechanical and G3 GuttaFlow®. The control group G Control (n = 3) without root filling, teeth weretrans-parented according to the Robertson technique. The samples were observed under an optical microscope at 4x using graphpaper. Comparison of groups was performed using the Kruskal-Wallis 95% confidence interval. Results: Group 2 with thethermomechanical technique showed lower microleakage, followed by Group 1 and Group 3. Objetivo. Evaluar si los cirujanos dentistas que trabajan en los consultorios particulares en el municipio de Vassouras de Río de Janeiro realizan la desinfección de las cubetas y modelos dentales de manera adecuada. Materiales y métodos. Como elemento de estudio se seleccionó una muestra representativa de consultorios particulares del municipio, recomendada por la Secretaria Municipal de Salud.
