Objective: To evaluate the prophylactic analgesic effect of paracetamol and ibuprofen administered before the extraction of deciduous teeth in children. Materials and methods: Sixty children of 6 to 8 years of age were evaluated and attended the Dental Center of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of San Martín de Porres, which were distributed in three groups, each of 20 children: group paracetamol, ibuprofen group and the control group. In the first two, the corresponding drug was administered orally 30 minutes before surgery (paracetamol 15 mg / kg or Ibuprofen 10 mg / kg). Objetivo. Determinar la relación que existe entre las anomalías dentomaxilares y parálisis cerebral en niños que acuden al Instituto para el Desarrollo Infantil – ARIE. Material y métodos. Se evaluaron 30 niños de ambos sexos entre 2 y 12 años de edad con diagnóstico de parálisis cerebral que acudieron al consultorio odontológico del Instituto para el Desarrollo Infantil-ARIE. Resultados. Se encontró la relación canina clase II en un 50%; la relación molar clase II fue la más frecuente (80%). Además, la prevalencia de caries dental fue de 76,7%. La mordida abierta y el apiñamiento dentario se encontraron en un 30%. Conclusiones. No se encontró asociación entre la parálisis cerebral y las anomalías dentomaxilares; sin embargo, en la relación molar clase II del lado derecho e izquierdo, se encontró asociación significativa a diferencia de todas las variables estudi...

Objective: This study aimed to compare the assessment of caries according to the International System for Caries Detection andAssessment (ICDAS-II) and dmf-s in children aged 3 to 5 years. Material and Methods. The sample consisted of 100 children aged 3to 5 years of age who attended the Pediatric Dental Clinic of the Hospital National Docent Madre Niño (HONADOMANI) “SanBartolomé”, during the months of October to December. Dental examinations were performed to diagnose dental caries according to thecriteria dmf-s and ICDAS-II. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, measures of central tendency, test of Chi squarePearson, parametrium and Spearman correlation. Results.
