The aguaymanto is a native species of the Peruvian highland, which has a tiny fruit that disagrees with its greatness and nutritional therapy. The present investigation had as objetive to assess and compare the total polyphenol content by the Folin-Ciocalteu method and antioxidant capacity of the fruits of Physalis peruviana L., from Huánuco, Junín, Ancash y Cajamarca by the method of the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picril-hidrazilo). The fruit coming from Huánuco presented a higher content of phenolic compounds expressed as 149.3 ± 1.62 mg/Eq of gallic acid/100g fruit. In addition, greater antioxidant capacity obtaining as inhibitory concentration IC50 1.86 mg/mL, compared with the fruits from Junín, Ancash y Cajamarca; and it would be a good source of consumption in benefit for the health.

Realiza un estudio basado en los tallos de la especie Dracontium loretense Krause de la familia aráceas. El material fue recolectado de acuerdo a las indicaciones etnobotánicas en la ciudad de Iquitos-Loreto. Efectúa la determinación taxonómica hasta llegar a su identificación y realiza un estudio morfológico e histológico. Realiza ensayos preliminares sobre tallos a los cuales aplica método de Dragendorff, método fitoquímico simplificado y método fitoquímico modificado. Analiza su composición química para confirmar la presencia de los principios activos a los cuales se les atribuye la acción farmacológica, como cafetaninos, glicósidos fenólicos y los esteroides. Encuentra principalmente cafetaninos, con el cual desarrolla ensayos farmacológicos y microbiológicos para confirmar la razón de su uso en medicina tradicional.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo: Determinar la relación entre las habilidades sociales y convivencia escolar en estudiantes del tercer año de secundaria, de las instituciones educativas de la Red 12, Ugel 07, Chorrillos. La investigación realizada fue de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, con un diseño no experimental – transversal – correlacional con dos variables. La población estuvo conformada por 394 estudiantes de tres instituciones educativas de Chorrillos y la muestra fue 1 95. Bidens pilosa L. and Bidens pilosa variedad minor of Asteraceae family, are known by the common name of 'amor seco'. The biological assays were started with bioassay of Artemia salina Leach, the Biden species showed both, in aqueous and ethanolic extracts bioactivity. In these species it was carried out the pharmacognosy screening that featured the chemical principies of samples. It was identified carbohidrates, condensed tannins, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, steroids and sesquiterpenic lactons. Through the antiulcerous activity assay it was verified the effective dose for all the samples. The LD50 was determined. The results showed 7494 mglkg, for both species. Bidens pilosa L and Bidens pilosa var. minor, showed practically no toxicity.

Juglans neotropica Diels "peruvian walnut" is a tree that grows in jungle, in areas ofmontane and montane rain forest whose leaves have antioxidant, astringent, antibacterial andantiseptic properties. The objective was to determine the antioxidant activity of a standardizedhydroalcoholic extract of Juglans neotropica Diels leaves. Leaves from Huandoval district,Pallasca province, Ancash Region were used. Standardization analysis included determinationof moisture, physicochemical parameters, solubility march, phytochemical screening, andthin layer chromatography; antioxidant activity was determined by the DPPH inhibitionassay. La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la eficacia del extracto etanólico del fruto de Passiflora edulis Sims (maracuyá) sobre el nivel de glicemia en ratas aloxanizadas. Objective: To evaluate the antimicrobial activity, through the agar diffusion method with wells, of camu camu (CC) against oral microorganisms. Methods: Strains of S. aureus, S. mutans, C. albicans and P. gingivalis were inoculated in Petri dishes. Ethanolic extracts (EEs) of peel, pulp and CC seed and controls (0.12% chlorhexidine, oral antiseptic, 70° alcohol and distilled water) were loaded into 6 mm diameter wells. All plates were incubated for 24-48 h and 11 days (P. gingivalis) at 35°C and the antimicrobial activity was determined by the formation of a zone of microbial growth inhibition (ZMGI), around the wells and measured by a Vernier caliper, by a researcher, calibrated interexaminer. At the present investigation the good conditions for the extraction of anthocyanins from purple corn cobs were investigated, by means of the employment of a complete design at random with factorial arrangement 2A3B4C4D. The factors studied were pH, solvent, time and temperature. The results showed anthocyanins between 8,404 and 47,984 mg/g of cob according to the method of differential pH. Analysis of four factors were presented.

Objective: To evaluate the inhibitory potential of the α-amylase and α-glucosidase enzymes, as well as the inhibition of glucose diffusion, using polysaccharides isolated from Nostoc sphaericum Vaucher ex Bornet & Flahault and treated by in vitro simulated gastrointestinal digestion. Materials and methods: The polysaccharides obtained from the microalga were purified and treated through in vitro gastrointestinal digestibility in order to simulate digestion. The hypoglycemic activity was evaluated by methods such as the inhibition of α-glucosidase and α-amylase, and glucose diffusion of the digested polysaccharides, and compared with the medication acarbose. Results: The results showed that the concentration of 50 mg/mL of digested polysaccharides decreases by 85.26 % the spread of in vitro glucose. La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la eficacia y seguridad de supositorios de aceite de Copaifera officinalis L. “copaiba” en pacientes con diagnóstico definitivo de crisis hemorroidal aguda. El ensayo fue clínico prospectivo, controlado, comparativo, aleatorio y se realizó en el Instituto de Investigaciones Clínicas de la Facultad de Medicina de UNMSM. y Servicio de Gastroenterología del Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo.
