The present study detected by stool examinations the presence of gastrointestinal parasites in nonhuman primates reared in captivity at the Pucallpa Natural Zoological Park, located in the department of Ucayali - Peru. A total of 72 collective fecal samples were collected from 58 individuals from species Cebus apella (brown capuchins), Saguinus fuscicollis weddelli (saddleback tamarins), Cebus albifrons (white-fronted capuchins), Lagothrix lagotricha (woolly monkey), Ateles paniscus chamek (spider monkey), Saimiri sciureus (squirrel monkey), Aotus nigriceps (black-headed night monkey) and Alouatta seniculus (red howler monkey). Samples were fixed in 10% formalin at 60 °C and analyzed by the direct method, and the Ritchie, Sheather, Sedimentation and Ziehl-Neelsen methods. Electrical stimulation is a technique that may reduce the lenght of maturity, rigor mortis and acidity of meat, as well as improving sensory characteristics. The objetive of the study was to show that the electrical stimulation has a significant effect on the quality of alpaca meat such as tenderness, juiceness, flavor, odor and sanitary condition. Twelve female alpacas from 4 to 5 year old and 50-60 kg of body weight were used. They were slaughtered and electrically stimulated 60 minutes later using electrodes on muscular tissue. All half carcasses were stimulated with 500 v per 60 s (T1), 500 v per 30 s (T2), 600 v per 60 s (T3), and 600 v per 30 s (T4). All other half carcasses were kept without electrically stimulation. Setting: Instituto Latinoamericano de Salud Reproductiva (ILSAR). Participants: Women with ovarían tumours referred from Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue demostrar que la estimulación eléctrica tiene un efecto significativo sobre la calidad de la carne de la alpaca en los aspectos de terneza, jugosidad, sabor y olor; y que además influye en la capacidad de su conservación. Se utilizó 12 alpacas hembras adultas de 4-4.5 años de edad y 50-60 kg p.v. Las canales fueron estimuladas eléctricamente a los 60 minutos del sacrificio, usando electrodos colocados en el tejido muscular. A cada media canal tratada se le estimuló con 500 voltios por 60 (T1) ó 30 segundos (T2), y con 600 voltios por 60 (T3) ó 30 segundos (T4); dejando sin estimulación eléctrica a las medias canales control. The present study aims at evaluating the polyphenolic compounds of plant Oenothera rosea L' Hér. Ex Aiton in branches and leaves of five different methods. Phytochemical analysis for the abundance of tannins which are of great industrial importance is determined. It identifies and classifies tannins Oenothera rosea L' Hér. Ex Aiton , finding the presence of hydrolysable tannins and condensed . Deepened in valuing different types of tannins found , using methods Lowenthal and Folin - Ciocalteu for hydrolyzable tannins Stiasny and Technique Proanthocyanidin for condensed tannins using the UV method for the determination of both tannins in aqueous extracts and ethanol , the ethanol extracts being those with greater extracting power.

Se presentan los resultados preliminares de los ensayos experimentales realizados para la obtención del etanol anhidro utilizando destilación discontinua extractiva con una sal disuelta como el cloruro de sodio. Para los ensayos se utilizaron una planta piloto de destilación discontinua de acero inoxidable que cuenta con un sistema de adquisición de datos.  Los resultados muestran que no se alcanza la composición del azeótropo que es de 95.6 % en peso de etanol.

Se presentan los resultados preliminares de los ensayos experimentales realizados para la obtención del etanol anhidro utilizando destilación discontinua extractiva con una sal disuelta como el cloruro de sodio. Para los ensayos se utilizaron una planta piloto de destilación discontinua de acero inoxidable que cuenta con un sistema de adquisición de datos.  Los resultados muestran que no se alcanza la composición del azeótropo que es de 95.6 % en peso de etanol.

In this work the synthesis of magnetite nanoparticles by coprecipitación in inverse microemulsion, which were introduced inside the pores of the polystyrene nanoparticles is reported. The nanoparticles of porous polystyrene were synthesized by heterogeneous polymerization in semicontinuo, which were employed like cover polymeric due to their biocompatibility and biostability. Through the analysis by X-ray diffraction was verified the structure of the magnetite, and estimated its average diameter of 9 nm. The polystyrene nanoparticles loaded with magnetite were prepared in different compositions magnetite/polymer and were determined by the test of magnetization that the magnetic moment (emu/g) is increased when the content of magnetite in the porous of polystyrene nanoparticles is increased.

En el presente trabajo se reporta la síntesis de nanopartículas de magnetita por coprecipitación en microemulsión inversa, las cuales fueron luego introducidas dentro de los poros de las nanopartículas de poliestireno. Las nanopartículas de poliestireno poroso fueron sintetizadas por polimerización heterogénea en semicontinuo, las cuales se emplearon como cobertura polimérica debido a su biocompatibilidad y bioestabilidad. Mediante el análisis por difracción de rayos-X se pudo comprobar la estructura de la magnetita (unifásica), y estimar su diámetro promedio de 9 nm. Las nanopartículas de poliestireno cargadas con magnetita fueron preparados en diferentes composiciones magnetita/polímero y se determinó mediante pruebas de magnetización que el momento magnético (emu/g) se incrementa al aumentar el contenido de magnetita en las partículas porosas.

We have determined the 50 Lethal dose of the Metanolic extract of Plantago major "Llanten" given by intraperitoneal route. We have found that 50LD was 4000 mg/Kg. Of animal weigtht, using 36 mice divided in six groups with 6 animal s each one. 40 rats divided in four groups of ten animals each one received on the back 2 mI of carragenin 1 % to the air pouch. After 30 minutes, the extract and diclofenac were administered. Six hours afterwards the animal s were killed. The exudate obtained was used to find the leucocyte count in the Coulter Counter. The rest of the material was centrifuged to determine the concentracion of proteins with de Gornall colorimetric method using the Biuret reactive and a model of protein lof 70 g/L.
