This review identifies and describes the main outcomes and complications associated with remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. A systematic review of the literature was carried out. This included observational studies whose population or partly carried out remote work, published between March 1, 2020, and November 30, 2020. The descriptors were adapted to MEDLINE (Ovid), EMBASE, Scopus and PsycINFO databases. We found 139 studies; 15 articles were included in this synthesis. A total of 18,818 remote workers were reported, of which women represented between 18.2%-100%. The findings describe the increased use of electronic devices, sedentary lifestyle, anxiety, depression, feelings of loneliness, sleep disorders and the presence of musculoskeletal pain in remote workers. Among all the inflammatory biomarkers associated with MetS, the best characterized and well standardized is C-Reactive protein (CRP). Objectives: To evaluate the association between C-Reactive protein and metabolic syndrome in the Peruvian population of the PERU MIGRANT study. Methods: Secondary database analysis of the PERU MIGRANT study. Entre todos los biomarcadores inflamatorios asociados al MetS, el mejor caracterizado y bien estandarizado es la proteína C-Reactiva (PCR). Introducción: Uno de los síntomas físicos de la depresión es el asma. El asma genera gran carga social, económico y deterioro en la calidad de vida; agravando la depresión del paciente. Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre asma y depresión en una muestra de pacientes peruanos según la escala de depresión del centro de estudios epidemiológicos (CES-D). Background: The role of insulin resistance (IR) in chronic disease is largely due to the presence of low-grade inflammation, through proteins such as C-reactive protein (CRP). Although there is evidence of a relationship between IR and CRP, this is scarce in non-obese population. Objective: To evaluate the association between IR and CRP in a sample of non-obese Peruvians. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional analytical study of the secondary database of the PERU MIGRANT study. Results: We found a prevalence of IR of 3.72 %; while the prevalence of high CRP (≥ 3 mg/L) in the study subjects was 19.26 %. Objetivo: Estimar la precisión de la prueba de riesgo del ADA y la prueba de riesgo peruana como cribado para prediabetes. Métodos: Estudio transversal para pruebas diagnósticas. La Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 es una enfermedad que representa un reto para la salud pública por su tendencia al crecimiento e impacto sobre todo en países en desarrollo. Objetivo: determinar los factores asociados a la no realización del cribado de diabetes mellitus tipo 2 según la encuesta demográfica y de salud familiar del año 2020 (ENDES-2020).
