This research aims to study the existing relationships among the factors of state anxiety, depression, impulsivity, and alcohol consumption regarding problematic mobile phone use, as assessed by the Mobile Phone Problem Use Scale. The study was conducted among 1,126 participants recruited among the general Spanish population, aged 16–65 years, by assessing the predictive value of these variables regarding this problematic use. Initially tobacco use was also considered being subsequently refused because of the low internal consistency of the scale used. In general terms, the results show that this problematic use is mainly related to state anxiety and impulsivity, through the dimensions of Positive and Negative Urgency. Overweight is a serious problem in Peru, and compliance with a healthy and balanced diet is essential for its management. Despite the existence of different types of diets and meal plans, people still find it difficult to comply with the treatment. Also, lack of access to adequate nutritional information and lack of follow-up in implementing a low-calorie diet can demotivate people and reduce the effectiveness of the process. The problem of cloning vehicle license plates in Peru is detailed, by criminals to sell vehicles at a lower price or commit crimes with the stolen vehicle. A mobile application is proposed that uses convolutional neural networks and deeplearning algorithms: TensorFlow, EasyOCR and OpenCV to identify the license plate and its alphanumeric code, obtain detailed information about the vehicle and its owner, and issue reports to the authorities in case of cloned plate or stolen. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm has been applied to solve the path planning problem of mobile robot in complex environments. The algorithm parameters have been analysed and tuned for different working areas with obstacles in different number, sizes and shapes. Also, the performance of ACO algorithm was tested for different resolutions of working area representations. In all cases, it was possible to find optimal or near-optimal minimum-length paths from the initial to final desired positions without collision with obstacles or wall-borders.

This research focuses on the modeling of bounded surfaces using parameterizations based on cylindrical coordinates, which is one of the topics of the multivariable calculus course, where it seeks to develop modeling and problem-solving skills in real context, being essential for this to develop geometric skills that allow sketching graphs in space. Therefore, the main objective of the research was to present a modeling case of a sludge decanting tank, through cylindrical coordinates, using the GeoGebra software in its Suite version for mobile devices, in addition to interacting with augmented reality (GeoGebra AR). With this, a didactic, dynamic, and iterative form is proposed where the inter-action between mathematics, engineering and technology is evidenced, and seeks to improve the teaching-learning experience.

Citizen insecurity is a social problem that has increased considerably around the world. To combat it, in this research a mobile application based on internet of things (IoT) has been developed with the objective of mapping crimes and incident alerts to improve citizen security. Scrum methodology was used and a significant improvement can be seen with respect to the following indicators: number of reports of dangerous places, with an increase of 102.7%; the second indicator: number of reports by type of crime, with an increase of 25.34%; and the indicator: response time to attention, with an increase of 23.5%. It is determined that there is a significant positive influence of the mobile application developed to improve citizen security.
