This paper aims to contribute, on the one hand, to the discussion of the homogeneous image that is constructed regarding who we are,  indigenous students; and on the other, to the knowledge of the challenges that we, indigenous youth, face in academic programs. I present the formative experiences of young men and women from different indigenous groups who attended the Indigenous Education Program at the National Pedagogical University - Ajusco Unit in Mexico city. I use interviews with graduates from the 2007-2011 cohort -of which I was part- to discuss what it means to be an indigenous student at the university, what their main problems and expectations are through their training, how they are seen in their communities of origin after becoming professionals, and if their access to the university caused loss of cultural identity. Methodologically, this research was carried out in th...

In Costa Rica, before 2016 the subject of statistics was not included in the national high school tests in Mathematics. As of 2016, the test, consisting of 60 items, includes 9 statistical items. On the other hand, teachers in their lessons usually use traditional expository methods, mediated by the use of a blackboard and printed materials. In this context, a need to create and implement new teaching techniques in this area was evident, for which a Multimedia Instructional Unit in Statistics was developed and applied through the eXeLearning technological tool. The instructional unit was applied to a group of 30 students belonging to the high school diploma for adults program from the region of Turrialba in Costa Rica. We used a qualitative, interpretive and naturalistic method based on the generation of analysis categories. It was determined that a simple way to show the information and...

This article discusses the various meanings attributed to the concept of research methodology, based on an analysis of the study plans and programs of three doctoral programs in education in Mexico. These programs have well-established faculty and have produced several generations of trained students. The article outlines the methodology used to analyze the curricular discourse related to the concept of research methodology, and presents findings that highlight the different interpretations given to key elements of this concept across the three programs. The results reveal nine major attributions of meaning to the concept of research methodology, with varying degrees of similarity across the three programs. One shared conception is that research methodology is primarily a logic of knowledge generation, rather than a set of techniques. Additionally, all three programs acknowledge that res...

The general objective of this research was to establish the effect of the application of the GeoGebra teaching methodology program on mathematical competence in an educational institution, Cuzco 2023. In order to carry it out, a quantitative approach, basic typology and quasiexperimental design were used. For this purpose, two groups (control and experimental) were selected, each comprising 28 students. A test was carried out in 2 moments: a pretest and a posttest after a total of 10 sessions where the main mathematical competences were strengthened through the use of GeoGebra software. After applying the tests, since the data were parametric, Student's t statistical analysis was used. The results showed that the application of the program significantly improved mathematical competence, since the p-value was less than 0.05. In the case of the specific results, the application of the soft...

We present a collaborative coding environment that helps the teaching of introductory computer graphics courses, with the goal of to do teaching graphics fundamentals more effectively and lowering the excessive difficult of initiate into 3D graphics programming. Traditionally, the OpenGL Library is used for teaching computer graphics courses, since there are bindings for the most popular languages, including Python, Ruby, Java and the web (WebGL). In particular, our proposed framework provides a web IDE for collaborative coding, between classmates or workgroups, and the professor can help them or interact on it. The second component is the use of the Emscripten library, which allows the program with OpenGL on the web in the same way as it is done in a local mode. Compared with WebGL, our proposal has better benefits since the code could be used in any computer with OpenGL support, which ...

Many companies require the implementation of operations engineering models to optimize processes in Peru. Companies often order production lots based on current inventory or orders from their vendors. The implementation of EOQ allows the development of a methodology to determine optimal production quantities in such a way that inventory and costs are reduced. It is desired to bring theoretical implementations of EOQ, Linear programming and aggregate planning to real industrial situations and observe their interrelationships. The present work develops a case study in which EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) based on unknown demand, Linear Programming and aggregate planning was implemented to a water bottling company located in Peru to reduce its costs. Simulations carried out using two different programs show that the information provided by EOQ, Aggregate Planning and Linear Programming reduc...
