Sleepiness could cause different accidents at work and in our daily lives. Activities such as driving a car, handling heavy machinery, being in charge of controlling a satellite or monitoring a nuclear plant, are activities that require short visual and motor reaction times. These reactions could be affected by sleepiness. The highest number of these accidents is related to vehicular accidents. WHO statistics show that 1.2 million people worldwide die every year due to road crashes, 50 million people are injured, and more than 3,000 people die daily from road traffic injuries. The real-time prediction and estimation of the spread of diseases, such as COVID-19 is of paramount importance as evidenced by the recent pandemic. This work is concerned with the distributed parameter estimation of the time–space propagation of such diseases using a diffusion–reaction epidemiological model of the susceptible–exposed–infected–recovered (SEIR) type. State estimation is based on continuous measurements of the number of infections and deaths per unit of time and of the host spatial domain. The observer design method is based on positive definite matrices to parameterize a class of Lyapunov functionals, in order to stabilize the estimation error dynamics. The political and cultural dimension of globalization brought the weakening and restructuring of the Nation-State in the centralized countries. In societies where the coloniality of power and knowledge are still dominants, a set of very complex processes entails the return of the territory as a communal construction as a Demiurge of the change time. There emerge some sustainable processes aimed at the appropriation, revaluation, recreation and resignification of territories, in addition to traditional and ancestral principles and practices open to transcultural processes that transport germs of the new one to a world surrounded by climate change and threatened by the deepening of the inequalities in all social areas. The objective of this text, based on an investigation promoted by the Ricardo Palma University (URP), is to approach this process from the central macrozone of the country.

This brief document shows in a simple and direct way the estimation of the market shares that mobile operators will have in the long term, understanding as a long term that situation in which the market shares oscillate in very small variations. To achieve this goal, the so-called Markov Chains are used, where the Transition Matrices are formed through the states of migration between companies using the Mobile Number Portability (PNM) process. The conclusions of this paper indicate that in the long term Telefónica del Perú will have the largest market share (36.4 %), followed by América Móvil, (35 %); and finally Entel (17.4 %) and Viettel (11.2 %).

Past studies of educational policy in Latin America assume unlimited power and autonomy by the state to restructure social welfare services. These approaches oversimplify a more complex reality, this investigation shows. In this article the foundation of the social demand for university education is examined at its origin, in the individual participants in the process: in the decisions by secondary school graduates. Economic considerations are not the only factors on which students base their future plans, it is discovered. The use of remote sensing is one of the most important tools for the evaluation of environmental problems, which are caused by humans or by natural activities and even driven by climate change. The objective of this research was to develop a model to determine the trophic state of lagoons in high Andean zones of Peru, based on remote sensing and GIS (Geographic information systems), in such a way that the estimation of the trophic state of these bodies of water can be determined without the need for a periodic or in situ sampling process. The mortgage is a figure that while regulation has in the Civil Code, in which we find the estimates for its validity and effectiveness; understand however, that it develops its effects within the civil process correctly. It is here where he can find, say, the dynamic aspect of the mortgage, especially in the process of execution of guarantees. We have Article 1099, paragraph 3 of the Civil Code states that the validity of the mortgage, you must comply with one of its requirements, ie, to establish the amount of tax, which must be a fixed or determinable amount and enroll in registration of real property (property Registry today). Thus, there is no doubt that any mortgage granted to be valid must contain an amount with which it was encumbered the property in case of default of the secured obligation. No mortgage is valid if it does not contain the amount of the lien.

Objective. To determine the relationship between the implementation of e-government and the simplification of administrative processes in the Provincial Municipality of Huanuco (MPHCO), Huanuco region (Peru), in the context of COVID-19. Methods. The research was characterized as basic, with a descriptive-correlational level and a non-experimental design. The public management approach based on the modernization and digitalization of the State was used. The objective of the present work is to design and build a device "The Battery Cycler" whose function is to automatically and repeatedly charge and discharge a battery and store the data of the battery voltage and current intensity as a function of time for each charging and discharging process, with these data the state of charge, coulombic efficiency and energy efficiency of the battery can be determined. The state of charge of the battery is an important parameter that indicates how much charge is available in the battery with respect to its capacity, the precise estimation of the state of charge of the battery is essential in a battery management system, as it allows to avoid an overcharge or deep discharge of the battery, conditions that can irreversibly damage the battery.

The growth of extractive economic activity has been reflected in the increase of its transfers to subnational governments, a process that allows governments to generate their own income to better spending; however, according to multiple authors, there is an inefficiency in its execution. This research seeks to estimate a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the behavior of capital spending for transfers of natural resources to regional governments to identify the main causes of its inefficiency, during the years 2009-2022. This work proposes a computational algorithm which extracts the frequency, timings and signal segments corresponding to respiratory phases, through buccal and nasal acoustic signal processing. The proposal offers a computational solution for medical applications which require on-site or remote patient monitoring and evaluation of pulmonary pathologies, such as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This paper describes the development of an intelligent integrated system comprised of a fuzzy logic architecture developed from descriptive statistics and an artificial neural network Fuzzy ArtMap applied in pattern recognition with digital image processing. The studied patterns are from the microstructure of carbon steel SA 210 Grade A-1. The purpose is to estimate the damage present in the material from the determination of the physical state of the material. Studied patterns in the microstructure of the material were: pearlite lamellar, spheronization and graphitization. The results showed that the damage estimation and pattern recognition in the material were correctly predicted with the developed system compared to the human expert.

We use the approach of Qu and Perron (2013) for the modeling and inference of volatility of a set of commodity prices in the presence of level shifts of unknown timing, magnitude and frequency. The model has two features: (i) it is a stochastic volatility model comprising both a level shift and a short-memory process where the .rst component is modeled as a compounded binomial process while the second one is an AR(1) process; (ii) the model is estimated using Bayesian techniques in order to obtain posterior distributions of the parameters and the two latent components.
