Since its introduction by Shinbrot, numerous variations of parameter identification based on the Modulating Function Technique (MFT) have been developed. Recently researches have achieved to estimate also states through this method. In this thesis, the MFT is utilized for the estimation, of both parameters and states, that lead to observe the behaviour of the vertical suspension forces on a vehicle over time. In order to deal with the frequency disturbances present by perturbations as measurement noise and vibrations, the Fourier Modulating Function (FMF) as a kernel is proposed. Furthermore, this method is implemented with the concept of sensor fusion. The estimation that results after the implementation of an adaptive observer during the present work is going to show the robustness of the studied technique.

This work describes an electrochemical sensor for the selective recognition and quantification of amoxicillin and a β-lactam antibiotic in real samples. This sensor consists of a carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with mag-MIP (magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer), which was prepared by precipitation method via free radical using acrylamide (AAm) as functional monomer, N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide (MBAA) as a crosslinker, and potassium persulfate (KPS) as initiator, to functionalized magnetic nanoparticles. A sensor based on molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) was developed for determination of 3-(3,4-Dichlorophenyl)-1,1- dimethylurea (diuron). The MIP were synthesized by free radical polymerization in wich diuron acted as template, methacrylic acid (MAA) acted as functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) acted as crosslinker. For construction of the sensor, glassy carbon electrode was modified with Nafion® and MIP/NIP (non imprinted polymer) to see the contribution of MIP, as a film, in the diuron recognition. Differential Pulse Voltammetry was used to the quantification of diuron in a range of response 0.4 - 1.2 V in a PBS (pH=8). All parameters affecting the sensor were optimized. Die menschliche Hand ist in der Lage, verschiedene Greif- und Manipulationsaufgaben auszuführen und kann als einer der geschicktesten und vielseitigsten Effektoren angesehen werden. Correctly executing exercises during training is of vital importance to ensure adequate athletic performance. Sit-ups are among the most frequently performed exercises requiring proper evaluation. This exercise contributes to increasing abdomen strength, having better posture to reduce back problems, and improving overall physical condition and appearance, among other benefits. Existing methods for evaluating the correct execution of sit-ups are manual, subjective, and inefficient in terms of time, cost, and precision. The primary aims of this paper are to combine recent developments in improved biosensor technology with mainstream motion-tracking hardware to measure the overall performance of human movement based on joint axis-angle representations of limb rotation. This work describes an alternative approach to representing three-dimensional rotations using a normalized vector around which an identified joint angle defines the overall rotation, rather than a traditional Euler angle approach. The purpose of this article is the design and implementation of an automation prototype for public lighting systems; Likewise, a model is built to test the functioning of the implemented prototype, simulating the provision of public lighting service automatically. Landslides, triggered by heavy rains, constitute globally impactful natural disasters that wreak havoc on both people and infrastructure. It is crucial to develop predictive systems and efficient alerts, incorporating technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) to gather environmental data and prevent significant losses. Therefore, the aim of the study was to design and develop an early warning system for landslides using a microcontroller-based wireless sensor network. Methylmercury (MeHg) is one of the most toxic organic mercury compounds found in the environment. The continuous exposure of human beings to this highly toxic compound may damage their nervous system. El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como finalidad estudiar la aplicación de sensores ópticos basados en polímeros iónicos impresos (IIP’s) para la determinación de Pb2+ presente en muestras de aguas, utilizando al rodizonato de sodio como reactivo quelante y monómeros funcionales seleccionadas mediante estudio de Teoría del Funcional de la Densidad (DFT). The use of metallic nanoparticles in sensors is due to the characteristic properties of these materials at the nano scale, principally the increase in surface area. The surface area decreases when the nanoparticles agglomerate, with the need to support them in substrates with a high surface area. In this research work the self-assembly layer by layer method is studied to anchor silver nanoparticles in different carbons surfaces: hierarchical porous carbons, carbon nanotubes with different functionalities (Without functionalizing, functionalized with -COOH and -OH) and the effect is evaluated on the detection of free cyanide.
