The construction industry is essential for the economic development of a country. However, changing management in these projects can be complex due to communication between different stakeholders. Construction changes are common and can occur at any stage of the project, which can have negative impacts on costs and schedules. It is important to have clear communication of the vision and benefits of changes before implementing them. The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in construction can improve communication, collaboration, knowledge management, and acquisition processes. In this context, a change management model is proposed in the design phase of infrastructure works based on the BIM (Building Information Modeling) and ICE (Interactive Concurrent Engineering) methodologies. The model is divided into six phases: search and compilation of information, analysis of ...

The COVID-19 pandemic has generated a pedagogical vacuum in dental education, which, due to the clinical, practical and laboratory nature of the subjects, forced teachers to incorporate innovative digital teaching resources in which learning environments are simulated that help promote the development of skills and knowledge in search of continuous improvement. However, students have also seen the need to resort to virtual platforms that allow them to better adapt to this complex hybrid blended learning system. The findings of this review are the product of an exploratory study whose purpose was to identify the main Information and Communication Technologies and organize them according to interpretation tools, dynamic modeling; communication, collaboration and organization. In this way, we provide the academic community with a vision of their impact on the learning and self-learning proc...

When breast cancer is detected and treated early, the chances of survival are very high. However, women in many settings face complex barriers to early detection, including social, economic, geographic, and other interrelated factors, which can limit their access to timely, affordable, and effective breast health care services. Previously, the Breast Health Global Initiative (BHGI) developed resource-stratified guidelines for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. In this consensus article from the sixth BHGI Global Summit held in October 2018, the authors describe phases of early detection program development, beginning with management strategies required for the diagnosis of clinically detectable disease based on awareness education and technical training, history and physical examination, and accurate tissue diagnosis. The core issues address include finance and governanc...

Objective: To evaluate the advantages of using movies as a tool in the teaching-learning process in medicine and health sciences PhD programs. Materials and methods: Twenty-one (21) PhD students participated in the study: nine (09) from the Universidad de San Martín de Porres (USMP) and twelve (12) from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). Thirteen (13) were males and eight (08) were females. Males’ average age was 43.54 and females’ was 56.75. The advantages of using movies in the courses of medicine and health sciences PhD programs were evaluated with a four-part questionnaire, out of which three (03) parts collected quantitative data (in scale from 1 to 10) and one (01) obtained qualitative data. Results: The average score of the answers of the first part (watching movies before classwork) was 9.60, the average score of the second part (classwork) was 9.67 and th...

Gamification is the use of game elements to promote motivation, increase participation, and enhance the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to develop a methodological strategy based on gamification to reinforce the teaching and learning process of the English language at the upper basic level of the Charapotó Educational Unit. A methodology with a socio-critical approach, a mixed approach, and a descriptive research type with a non-experimental design were used. The population consisted of 3 English teachers and 295 upper basic students. The sample included all the teachers, and through a simple random probability sampling analysis, 167 students from the Charapotó Educational Unit in the province of Manabí, Ecuador, were selected. Techniques such as observation, surveys, interviews, and bibliographic analysis were employed, considering the dimensions of teach...

The article is devoted to vocal education in Kazan as part of a general cultural process. Kazan as “a gathering place of two worlds – the Western and the Eastern”, was the leading music and cultural center. During the XIX century in Kazan not only amateur music-making was actively developed but also were created music-public associations and private music teachers became widespread. The concert and performance in Kazan inevitably went through single phases and stages of development common to the whole country. Over time, amateur performance gives way to professional performance. The article is used a set of humanitarian and historical methods. The materials may be interesting for researchers of music education in Russia, as well as Russian provincial culture.
