El estudio devela lo impregnado que se encuentran los componentes de formación en la educación superior y los rezagos coloniales que aquejan al currículo, el cual se encuentra orientado para fortalecer desde una lógica de mercado lo laboral, impidiendo a las dinámicas educativas formar a un ser humano integral con visión holística el mismo que se encuentra desprovisto de las competencias de carácter intelectual, social, biopsicosocial y laboral como estructura necesaria para la vida. Es así que se hace prioritario el abordaje de una lógica social que esté determinada por la aplicación e inclusión de los saberes ancestrales de nuestros pueblos y nacionalidades, orientados al compromiso de incorporar elementos propios y contextualizados al currículo, que vayan más allá de prácticas pedagógicas o andragógicas como recetarios preescritos inoculados en el torrente sanguineo...

Student admission process in private high er education system determines the maintenance of diff erent college career off er. In this context, in this article a research that analyzed the current state of admission of students in the psychology of the SEK International University of Ecuador is reported. The method used in the research was a mixed type, in which a first quantitative phase evaluated socio demographic variables related to income students. In this stage, students answered a qualitative instrument. We worked with 100% of psychology students (23 women and 8 men). As a result of research variables related to the educational level of parents, school income, prepaid values and subjective constructions related to the current situation of the psychology are identified.
