The resolution of triangular systems is a computational nucleus widely used in various scientific applications. This research performs the implementation and comparison of several parallel algorithms against an efficient sequential algorithm for solving triangular systems. The algorithms are distinguished by the way of partitioning the matrix and the allocation to the processors. The analysis of the behavior of the algorithms is performed in the solution of systems of linear superior triangular equations in a cluster of computers. For this, the arithmetic time, communication time, speed-up, and maximum efficiency metrics are taken into account. Experiments were performed for each algorithm with different matrix sizes on various processors. The algorithm with the best results was the one that blocks the rows of the matrix and applies a cyclical distribution in the cluster.

Introduction: Overweight negatively impacts the cardiovascular system and osteomyoarticular, promoting pain in the joints of the lower limbs. Therefore, strategies have been applied to reduce overweight through lifestyle changes. Objective: to investigate the effects of two multidisciplinary intervention programs on the health-related physical fitness of obese women with pain symptoms in the knees. This research aims to compare some variables with students enrolled in a Higher Education Institution (IES) pursuing distance-virtual undergraduate programs. The sample included students from the Faculty of Distance Studies (FAEDIS) at the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (UMNG). A parallel was drawn between the 2015-II and 2024-I periods, comparing economic, demographic, and institutional aspects. A descriptive methodology was used, using a survey instrument that corresponded to a sample of 15.2% of the enrolled student body. The above shows that a significant proportion of the students who responded were between 22 and 35 years old, indicating a young adult population. An assessment of part of a family planning program is presented in a social environment characterized by high fertility, low contraceptive use and knowledge and great interest in information and practice of family planning methods. Accidental pregnancy rates and subsequent expulsions are similar to those found in urban environments and sea level. By contrast, first expulsions rates are higher than those established for suburban and metropolitan populations sea level, so it could be considered an effect of biological, possibly related to altitude conditions. The work analyzes the contributions of Mercedes Rodrigo Bellido and Victoria Bossio Herrera, pioneers of psychology in Colombia, highlighting their impact from complementary approaches. Rodrigo, born in Spain, introduced psychotechnics and founded the first university psychology program in the country, consolidating the discipline as autonomous and applied to vocational guidance and child well-being. Precise crown segmentation is essential for assessing structure, competition, and productivity in agroforestry systems, but delineation is challenging due to canopy heterogeneity and variability in aerial imagery. This study analyzes how flight height and orientation affect segmentation accuracy in an agroforestry system of the Peruvian Amazon, using RGB images acquired with a DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro UAV and the instance-segmentation models YOLOv8 and YOLOv11. Four flight heights (40, 50, 60, and 70 m) and two orientations (parallel and transversal) were analyzed in an agroforestry system composed of Cedrelinga cateniformis (Ducke) Ducke, Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth.)
