The present work shows the application of a non-destructive technique as a method for the identification of internal defects in marupa trees (Simarouba amara Aubl.) Located in forest plantations in the Ucayali region. This technique contemplated the use of an acoustic tomograph (ArborSonic 3D) that allowed obtaining tomograms that made it possible to analyze the cross section of the evaluated trees, showing the internal state of their shafts taken at different heights (0 cm, 40 cm, 90 cm, 130 cm and 160 cm). The results obtained made it possible to identify that the marupa trees did not present significant internal defects along their stems and damage was only reported at the base level at 0 cm from the ground. The rubber plant (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg.) is the main natural rubber-producing species. Researches on rubber has been carried out for more than a century. Researchers and academics should stay up to date with the current scientific issues including latex harvesting in H. brasiliensis Muell. Arg. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to propose a detailed methodology to estimate, model and incorporate the non-constant volatility onto a numerical tree scheme, to evaluate a real option, using a quadrinomial multiplicative recombination. Design/methodology/approach. This article uses the multiplicative quadrinomial tree numerical method with non-constant volatility, based on stochastic differential equations of the GARCH-diffusion type to value real options when the volatility is stochastic. Anemia is one of the most common problems in children who are not adequately fed. Iron deficiency harms minors as it prevents them from carrying out their daily activities due to extreme tiredness and fatigue. Due to this situation, the Peruvian State has tried to reduce the level of prevalence of anemia at the national level with medical campaigns in different regions; despite this, localities such as Caylloma in Arequipa still maintain a high percentage of anemic infants, for which an implementation through Decision Trees with the python language to be able to determine if a child has anemia based on the data provided.

The objective of this study was to present a methodological tool for the phenotypic evaluation in progeny tests of Guazuma crinita in producer plots of the Aguaytía river basin, Ucayali, Peru, which allows field technicians to standardize the morphological evaluation criteria of trees in forest plantations. Therefore, the phenotypic traits were evaluated for plant height (m), diameter at the height of the base (cm), number of branches, number of rings, stem form, branch orientation, presence and quantity of leaves. This study was carried out to determine the digestibility coefficients and digestible energy of Arachis pintoi, Stylozanthes guianensis, Erythrina poeppigiana, Centrocema macrocarpum and Pueraria phaseoloides. The direct method was used, using the same forage as the only food. The experiment had two phases, one for adaptation and one of faeces collection, with duration of 15 and 5 days, respectively. We used 25 male guinea pigs in growth stage distributed in order to get 5 guinea pigs for each tropical legume evaluated. The digestibility coefficients of nutrients were numerically higher for Arachis pintoi (51,96, 56,80, 29,46 y 71,32 percent of the dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber and nitrogen free extract digestibility, respectively) than for all the other treatments, except for the ash. This article will analyse the story «Los polvos de la condesa». It is proposed that in this text Ricardo Palma deals with the use of cinchona as a natural medicine for the solution of certain ailments in the viceroyalty. In addition, some information on quinine, a compound extracted from cinchona bark, is included. Based on this finding, centuries later, the compound hydroxychloroquine was developed, which attempted to mimic the properties of the plant and is currently used as an antimalarial drug or proposed for the treatment of COVID-19.

The project "From the tree to the painting" is an interdisciplinary educational innovation project, based on the STEAM education. This project aimed at the last courses of Primary Education, presents an interdisciplinary work between the areas of Sciences and Arts, developing a series of activities that have a common denominator: to know the main landscape of the Vega Alta del Segura of Murcia (Cieza), and its possibilities as a possible source of paper material. This project bases its work on the realization and application of the STEAM educational methodology, combining didactic activities from different areas of knowledge, but linked to science and art. Resulting in a program of 5 sessions, from a didactic output to an artistic exhibition, through the collection of raw material, creation of pulp and by testing with various pictorial techniques.

The objective of this work was to use the decision tree technique to define a model capable of predicting water potability. To evaluate the performance of the decision tree classification, a dataset extracted from Kaggle was used, which has 3276 water samples divided by the potability variable. Applying the Pandas and Scikit Learn libraries, a model based on a decision tree evaluated with the metrics of precision, accuracy, completeness, and F1 score was defined, achieving 0.77, 0.80, 0.85, and 0.81, respectively.

Biosphere Reserves are considered learning spaces for sustainable development; in this sense, the objective was to measure sustainable development in the Oxapampa-Asháninka-Yánesha Biosphere Reserve during its first five-year recognition by UNESCO; for this, five districts integrated in the area of the biosphere reserve have been defined as the unit of analysis (Chontabamba, Huancabamba, Oxapampa, Pozuzo and Villa Rica).
