The objective of this study was to calibrate models to quantify the content of clays and gangas of a hydrothermal deposit of the porphyry copper-gold type by NIR spectroscopy. The selected methodology was to design a chemometric model based on 173 diamond drill composites to which X-ray diffraction tests and near infrared spectroscopy were performed, validating the results with a cross-validation through a machine learning methodology. An environmental liability in Peru is located in Puno, in the district of Ananea, originated by informal mining activities 90 years ago. Phytoremediation was carried out with Festuca Dolichophylla, a plant native to the area, with the assistance of ammonium thiosulfate as an accelerator. Soil samples were extracted from the areas impacted with mercury. The research used a factorial design with the following response variables: the concentration of total mercury (HgT) in soil and plant tissues, and as factors the level of ammonium thiosulfate in the soil and the time of plant growth. The soils of the Ananea-Puno district have neutral pH, elemental mercury constitutes 56% of the total amount of mercury in the soil. This article is based on the foundations of the psychological trend called «behaviorism» and the preventive tool called safety based on behavior (SBB). Model behavioral observation applied to safety (BOAS) is a complement for the Management of Occupational Safety and Health, which aims to increase safe behavior of employees in an organization, looking at the short term generate workers attitude change (shown in their behavior) and long term by generating a safety culture that internalizes the worker and adopt as his own, bringing learning taught by the organization to all aspects of their daily lives. During the development of this article the implementation process, maturity and improvement of the Model BOAS is displayed. As the results show the gradual increase in safe behavior of workers in the organization.
