This article explains what we mean by the unidimensionality of a measurement instrument, therefore we present some definitions and theoretical contributions about this subject. Factor analysis is proposed as one of the many methods for assessing the unidimensionality of a measurement instrument. The use of Pearson correlations matrices on item-level factor analysis is identified as an important problem. Those correlations are problematic because items didn’t carry out the necessary assumptions in order to apply the Pearson correlation: interval-level measurement and normal distribution of the variable. As an alternative we propose and exemplify the use of tetrachoric and polychoric correlations.

Background: university life is defined by the multiple demands that students face. Exams are events of great concern that can trigger harmful stress responses. The perception of self-efficacy to achieve goals has a modulating effect on cognitive, emotional and behavioral processes. Objective: to analyze the relationship and influence between stress coping self-efficacy, cognitive test anxiety and physical and psychoemotional stress symptomatology in university students in a pandemic context. Method: cross-sectional descriptive-correlational design. 314 university students participated (M = 23, SD = 6.05). Results: significant correlations were found between the variables examined. The research objective is to demonstrate that there is a positive relationship between the principal’s pedagogical leadership and the teaching performance at the secondary level of "María Parado de Bellido" school, Rímac district, Lima - 2017. The research approach is quantitative with transactional design, and correlational type. The sample was 280 students, 44 teachers and 3 principals to whom a survey was applied. A permanent challenge in higher education is the development of teaching skills in academics to respond to the new profile of the student, demanding changes in the way teaching is delivered and evaluated. Here we evaluate the perception of university teaching skills from the perspective of students and the institutional perspective provided by teachers, as well as differences by gender, in a sample of 1837 students and 227 academics from a publicuniversity in two regions of south-central Chile. The general results indicate that teachers give greater importance to skills than students. Likewise, while students value skills, generating a pleasant climate in class and innovating in work practices, academics give greater importance to the transmission of knowledge and making evaluations more flexible. The research aims to relate the characteristics of the management and organizational capacity of the Peruvian university with the level of educational inclusion of students with hearing disabilities. A cross-sectional correlational design was used and a descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was carried out of the results of the Inclusive Educational Environment (3E + I) questionnaire, which was applied to a random sample of two groups of students (a group with disabilities and another without disabilities). The instrument was validated by means of a previous pilot test whose Cronbach’s alpha reliability index was 0.920. Introduction: The criminalization of abortion in Peru poses ethical and legal dilemmas for healthcare professionals. Objective: To evaluate the factors associated with the reporting of induced abortions and to explore the perceptions of obstetrician-gynecologists. Methods: A sequential mixed-methods study was conducted, with a quantitative phase followed by a qualitative one. The legal system is not permanent, complete, consistent and clear; on the contrary, due to the globalization in technology and information, as well as to the profuse legislative production it has become complex and contradictory, originating internal and external antinomies, being that before this problematic the Civil Judge has chosen to make a specific application of the law. Thinking about the economic growth of a nation is thinking about a series of alternatives. This research article examines the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in Peru using cointegration models to present development alternatives. The main objective is to analyze the influence of energy consumption on long-term economic growth. To achieve this, a methodology is used that begins with the Unit Root tests and data is collected between 2005 and 2018. The results obtained reveal a significant positive relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in the long term, which indicates that an increase in energy consumption has a positive impact on economic growth. It seeks to develop a mathematical model that predicts the decay of the temperature of the liquid steel spoon 15 TM. The shots were made in temperature castings production, measuring the temperature after excoriated and before emptying the holding furnace, the time was also recorded between the two jacks temperature. In order to determine if there are significant differences between parental control of parents who are consumers and non-consumers of alcohol, from the perception of their daughters, were studied 643 adolescent girls of 15-17 years of age who are in highschool from seven educational institutions in four districts of Lima. For purposes of the study were administered The Parental Psychological Control Scales (Barber, 1996), and The Children of Alcoholics Screening Test (CAST 6) (Jones, 1983). We found significant differences in parental control between the two groups. More precisely, there were evidence that the adolescents perceive greater parental control from parents who they categorized as alcohol consumers.
