The Prim's algorithm, extracted from the graph theory, is easily adaptable for generating random mazes in the game development process. This study provides the theoretical framework of the algorithm, its adaptation to generate two-dimensional arrays of values, coding in Java and use of libraries provided by this programming language. It restricts the creation of the arrays to a minimum size of 11x11 to ensure that generates coherent sizes mazes and its application is for generating orthogonal called labyrinths (2D view). Finally, the measurement is made of the performance of the proposed encoding and concludes that in all tests, the average response time is less than a tenth of a second to generate maps of labyrinths.

We use the approach of Qu and Perron (2013) for the modeling and inference of volatility of a set of commodity prices in the presence of level shifts of unknown timing, magnitude and frequency. The model has two features: (i) it is a stochastic volatility model comprising both a level shift and a short-memory process where the .rst component is modeled as a compounded binomial process while the second one is an AR(1) process; (ii) the model is estimated using Bayesian techniques in order to obtain posterior distributions of the parameters and the two latent components. We use six commodity series: agriculture, livestock, gold, oil, industrial metals and a general commodity index. All series cover the period from January 1983 until December 2013 in daily frequency. The results show that although the occurrence of a level shift is rare (about once every 1.5 or 1.8 years), this component cl...

The political events of a nation rule the agglomerated milestone of opinion figures, who agitate the masses for a particular political ideology. That representation is subject to politicians representing a political party, at the same time it has to be based on programmatic ideologies with a journalistic dissemination body that points to a rule in its historical process, for example the ideological struggles in the journalistic industries: “The group tends to assimilate all the elements capable of claiming socialism without excepting those that come from gonzalezpradista radicalism and are preserved outside the political parties ”(Mariátegui, 1986, p.99)

Early enteral nutrition through a feeding tube is essential for the management of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Nasojejunal tube nutrition has been preferred on the assumption that it provided pancreatic rest in comparison to the nasogastric tube. However, nasojejunal tube placement is complex, may delay feeding initiation and can increase hospital costs. Our aim was to compare the efficacy and safety of enteral feeding with a nasogastric tube versus nasojejunal tube in patients with SAP. We searched four databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Embase) until December 1, 2022. We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing enteral feeding by nasogastric and nasojejunal tubes in patients with SAP. Primary outcome was all-cause mortality. Secondary outcomes were organ failure, infection, complications, surgical intervention, duration of tube feeding and length of hospit...

In this monograph we continue with the inspection initiated in [1] on the fundamental tools introduced in the approach proposed in [2,3] for the study of metastability. We give the definition of the Poisson random measures and prove the main properties that we will subsequently use to construct Markov processes with finite state space. Such construction will allow us to provide a probabilistic proof of the fact that the law of a Markov process solves the martingal problem.

Following Varneskov and Perron (2014), I apply the RLS-ARFIMA(0,d,0) and the RLS-ARFIMA (1,d,1) models to the daily stock and Forex market returns volatility of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru. It is a parametric state-space model with an estimation framework that combines long memory and level shifts by decomposing the underlying process into a simple mixture model and ARFIMA dynamics. The full sample parameters estimates show that level shifts are rare but they are present in all series. A genuine long-memory component is present in volatility of some countries and the results suggest that the remaining short-memory component is nearly uncorrelated once the level shifts are accounted for. I compare the results with four RLS models as in Xu and Perron (2014) and applied in Rodríguez (2016) for same Latin-American series. An out-of-sample forecasting comparison is also perform...

Remote sensing with large-scale satellite images for precision studies in grasslands has spatial and spectral resolution limitations. Against this, using spectral signs and vegetation indices obtained with microsensors transported by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) constitutes a more accurate alternative for biomass estimation. In the fieldwork, images were acquired with microsensors, and fixed transects of 100 m were used where vegetation samples were collected. The photographs acquired with the UAV were processed in Pix 4D, Arc Gis, and algorithms elaborated in R programming language. The biomass estimation was carried out with Multiple Linear Regression, Vector Support Machine, and Random (Forest Random) models. The Random model showed a Kappa coefficient of 0.94 in the training set and 0.901 in the test set (R2 = 0.482). The Random Forest model predicted 3 g/pixel of MV for Puna grass...

During their university years, the student of architecture carries out several hands-on works that are essential for their academic development such as the making of models, plans, and reports that are mostly discharged later without considering their value. Therefore, the aim of this research was to analyze the management of solid waste generated in the FAUA-UPAO Architecture Program, considering the principles of the 5Rs and the recycling culture that students have. For this, the waste produced was sorted out based on its lifetime and toxicity level. Secondly, 218 surveys were applied to students chosen under simple random sampling probability in order to know their ecological habits and their predisposition for recycling, obtaining an estimate of the amount of materials used and discarded at the end of the academic semester; likewise, an interview was conducted with the university boa...

Gamification is the use of game elements to promote motivation, increase participation, and enhance the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to develop a methodological strategy based on gamification to reinforce the teaching and learning process of the English language at the upper basic level of the Charapotó Educational Unit. A methodology with a socio-critical approach, a mixed approach, and a descriptive research type with a non-experimental design were used. The population consisted of 3 English teachers and 295 upper basic students. The sample included all the teachers, and through a simple random probability sampling analysis, 167 students from the Charapotó Educational Unit in the province of Manabí, Ecuador, were selected. Techniques such as observation, surveys, interviews, and bibliographic analysis were employed, considering the dimensions of teach...

The present article proposes to design a model that provides a generic architecture which acts autonomously in public works contracting selection processes, in order to generate an automated decision criterion in the event of a tie. For the Simplified Tender selection process, in case of a tie, it is proposed to choose the bidder by means of an electronic lottery based on a controlled randomization system of encryption and transformation. For the Public Bidding selection process, in the event of a tie, the bidder is chosen by means of a predicted compliance index according to the behavior of the companies when executing similar infrastructure projects. To this end, a model that predicts the probability of success or failure of the bidder to execute a project before initiating it is generated, using artificial neural networks as an analysis tool. This paper reviews the common characterist...

The objective of the research was to determine the factors of consumer behavior that influence the purchase pro- cess of bodegas in the context of COVID-19 in the year 2021. The study was carried out from the quantitative approach, with a research design non-experimental-transversal-explanatory. A questionnaire consisting of 31 questions was applied to 399 consumers who attended Peruvian bodegas, who were randomly selected for the application of the instrument. The results generated by structural equations show that social factors and psychological factors of consumer behavior signifi- cantly influence the purchase process (p < 0.05); however, unlike the previous results, the cultural factors of consumer behavior do not have significant implications in the purchase decision (p value = 0.054 < α = 0.05) and in the feeling after the purchase (p value = 0.082 < α = 0.05), as well as the p...
