Strategic learning is the search for meaningful learning of content, skills and abilities development with the principle of the students as self-regulating entities of their own learning process. The teacher as one of the participants of the educational process must be trained and prepared to offer different strategies to the student according to his/her style, learning pace or educational need. Nowadays, the main concern for educational institutions is to have teachers capable of organizing strategic learning sessions, as they facilitate the process and encourage the student to be the owner and builder of his/her own knowledge. It is vitally important to take into account that this type of learning will not produce any kind of change if the teacher who imparts it is just a simple information transmitter. This article seeks to be a source of knowledge and help students and teachers, from the synthesis of the personal college student’s experience in developing their learning to the teaching of natural sciences at the secondary level. In addition, during the development of this article, there are some of the advantages and limitations encountered at this stage of studies contrasted with the reality of education in our country, and it provides a global vision and a neutral point of view about the problems faced by many students during the university life, which often has not been able to be transmitted in its entirety, however, through this document it seeks to break these patterns and improve communication between the authorities and students.

The study of Neuroscience and The seven Learnings introduce Neuroscience as the new paradigm that enables to analyze and explain the intelligent human behavior. The discoveries found in this field have been shown not only in the theory but in the pedagogical practice as well. In the first case, one of the most recent theories about intelligent behavior has been conceived from the perspective of neuroscience (science that studies HUMAN BRAIN). (Beauport and Diaz, 1994) This study has given more relevance to the relation between the function of the brain and human behavior as well as the conditions that lead to an efficient teaching – learning process. In this context, we introduce The seven Learnings, described by Edgar Morin that state central problems which have been ignored and that are necessary in order to reach a successful teachinglearning process in this century. These seven Lea...

Learning strategies are a set of cognitive actions that are taken consciously, if we relate information in a meaningful way, knowledge will be easily remembered. For this to happen, first information will be processed and then action is taken.  Beginning from the subject to the problem. Likewise, these learning strategies are intentional processes that a student uses to  acquire, relate, process, retain, retrieve and regulate the information, in order for learning to be effective. That is, students use a learning strategy when they are able to adjust their behavior (what they think and do) to the demands of an activity or task given by the teacher and to the circumstances and vicissitudes in which this task occurs. When students employ a strategy they are, at all times, aware of their purposes but whenever they move away from them, they a...

The research hereby aims to design a Teaching Program Model based on the Communicative Approach upon the Basic Level of English as a foreign language for adult learners focused on undergraduate educators of Cesar Vallejo University, at Chiclayo Campus, according to their learning preferences. In order to achieve this objective, a pretest has been settled to measure the knowledge level of the English language regarding the participants that constitute the sample and thence a questionnaire was adapted to gather their preferences on the learning strategies in relation to this language. The theoretical foundations addressed are the Communicative Approach, Constructivism, learning styles, andragogy, and the learning-teaching process on a teaching approach. An amount of 179 undergraduate educators constituted the population, and the sample, constituted of 100 educators, was selected through a ...

Permanent technological training favors teaching and its importance in learning modalities. Therefore, it is proposed to analyze the academic performance of permanent training in ICT skills for teachers and compare the performance of digital learning modalities. The research was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional in a higher education institution with continuous training processes. Two editions of courses were considered in which online TIC tools were taught for teachers. The activity records made it possible to analyze the academic performance of permanent training in TIC skills for teachers and compare the learning modalities' performance through them. In this sense, the results of the teaching-learning process in TIC skills reflect that the evaluations of the first b-learning modality course with 44 participants present a 98% approval rate compared to the second e-learning mod...

The use of Information Technology in higher education and especially in postgraduate programs and specializations, has implied a series of significant changes in the teaching-learning process, within these changes the creation of the so-called “Virtual Environments” can be highlighted of Learning” or EVA, which give the possibility of breaking the barriers of space and time that exist in traditional education and allow an open interaction to the dynamics of the educational world. This article seeks to analyze whether VAS is a methodology that adds value to students, teachers and educational institutions.

Technology plays a significant role in education nowadays. People is aware of its importance and there are numerous researches regarding its benefits when applied to the teaching – learning process. Nevertheless, since social networks are a relatively young developed technology, few researches have been carried out around the world about it, and virtually none in Peru. This research was developed with the sole purpose of analyzing the impact that the application of an instructional design based on social learning theory and TPACK framework has on promoting the use of social network sites to improve English language learning of students coursing Beginners IV at Señor de Sipan Language Center (SSLC) during October 2015. To test the hypothesis the quasi experimental design was applied. A Pre - test was given, to diagnose the problem. Results shown that students had a low level of English...

This article discusses the Learning Progress Maps (LPM) and Learning Paths, (LP) implemented both by the Ministry of Education of Peru in 2013. Both instruments are designed to strengthen student learning process, to provide indicators to students learning quality therefore at the end of the cycles identified and provide guidance to teachers. We present the theoretical basis of the LPM and a critical analysis of both instruments are done, its origin, its validity and possible readings that can be made of it, depending on the paradigm used by the teacher. At the end it is synthetically exposed the Socio-Cognitive humanist Paradigm as a pedagogical model suitable for the proper use of the instruments studied.
