A single-item instrument is introduced to identify the family relationship model from the youngsters perspective (MOREFAM). Its validity was evaluated using the Family Functioning Test and the Authentic Happiness Questionnaire. The content of the verbalizations was analyzed to identify the psychological state of the adolescents. The sample consisted of 230 youngsters between the ages of 15 and 22 from various high schools in Monterrey, Mexico. An association was found between the levels of family functionality and happiness with the different family models. The instrument, easy to apply, allows a quick approach to the style of interaction between parents and children, revealing the feeling, thinking and acting of adolescents from Monterrey, based on their family model.

This instrumental research aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the 14-item Resilience Scale in Spanish (RS-14) in a Mexican population aged 60 years and over. Two hundred twenty participants (126 women and 94 men), aged between 60 and 88 years (M=67.48; SD=5.34), were tested by convenience sampling. The study instrument was the Spanish version of the Resilience Scale (ER-14) by Sánchez-Teruel and Robles-Bello. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the scale presented an adequate fit with a smaller number of items (11) and two factors; however, the internal consistency of the second factor was inadequate, and the factorial invariance showed that the solution found was not invariant according to sex. The UPPS-P scale is widely used to assess impulsivity. For this reason, the psychometric properties of the extensive version of UPPS-P were analyzed from the Rasch polytomous model. Eight hundred Argentine adolescents aged 12 to 18 years participated in the study. As a result, it was found that the dimensions of the UPPS-P presented an adequate fit to the Rasch model, adequate levels in the Person Separation Index (PSI), some items with local dependence and an adequate level of unidimensionality. It is concluded that the scale is a valid instrument to assess impulsivity in adolescents; therefore, a conversion table with interval scores is presented to increase the measurement precision of the instrument.

Background: the five-factor model represents one of the most widely used approaches to the study of personality from a psychological perspective. Although many instruments have been relied upon for its evaluation, the Mini International Personality Item Pool (Donnellan et al., 2006) is one of the main tools highlighted in the literature. Objective: for this reason, the purpose of the present study is to adapt and validate such instrument in a non-probability sample composed of university students in Buenos Aires (N = 2460). The most direct way to obtain this qualification is through exams or probing tests, however if we consider that teachers are the ones who determine the form of evaluation, these instruments may present shortcomings in their elaboration. The objective of this study was to evaluate the reliability and validity of computerized tests via the web through the measurement of their psychometric and statistical properties by applying the Classical Test Theory (TCT) and the Item Response Theory (TRI). The TCT methodology was applied to assess the difficulty and discrimination of the test and the items. The data was adjusted to the TRI binary logistic models of one, two and three parameters. A computerized test of 30 questions was applied to 775 students enrolled in the Basic Statistics course in the 2016 II semester. A diversity of scales are used as screening tools for depression in clinical settings and epidemiological research; however, many of them have a large number of items and are only validated in person. Objective: The aim of this study was the online validation of the 4-item short version of the Depressive Psychopathology Scale (DPS-4), taking as a reference standard the Depression Scale of the Center for Epidemiological Studies (CES-D). Las escalas tipo Likert desde su aparición y difusión han tenido gran acogida y son consideradas como uno de los métodos más adecuados para construir tests psicológicos. Además, se asume que mientras más opciones tengan se obtendrá mayor información acerca del individuo y por tanto presentará mejores propiedades psicométricas. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la pertinencia del uso de diferentes formatos de respuestas dentro de una escala tipo Likert. Se realizaron análisis psicométricos en los diversos formatos propuestos en la escala (análisis de ítems, confiabilidad y estructura factorial). Se encontraron similitudes en cuanto a las características psicométricas de cuatro formatos propuestos. Se concluye que el formato establecido no afecta las propiedades psicométricas del instrumento como la confiabilidad y validez.

La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo analizar las propiedades psicométricas del Test de Inteligencia General Matrices en estudiantes de cuatro universidades de la ciudad de Lima. Para ello, se trabajó en una muestra peruana no probabilística de 517 (347 varones y 170 mujeres) de 18 y 31 años. Se utilizó el método de ecuaciones estructurales (SEM) para la medición del instrumento, lo cual permitió confirmar la estructura de unidimensionalidad, de igual manera se realizó la invarianza del análisis diferencial de los items mediante modelo SEM y regresión logística binaria que señalan la equivalencia de medida. Asimismo, se propone trabajar una estructura reducida del instrumento, en lo que respecta a la medida del factor g, como propuesta de evaluación de la inteligencia, esto con el fin de adaptarse a la muestra en estudiantes jóvenes y adultos evaluados.

The purpose of this study was to translate the Bedtime Procrastination Scale (BPS) into Spanish and to evaluate its psychometric properties. A sample of 419 students from three Peruvian universities participated in the study. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to evaluate the original model of the scale, which initially showed poor fit indices. Improved fit indices were obtained after removing reverse-scored item, χ²(5) = 9.240, CFI = .998, RMSEA = .045, TLI = .997, and SRMR = .013. The present investigation was oriented to establish the psychometric properties of the Inventory of ambivalent sexism (ASI) in young people from technical educational institutions of the Huaral district, the type of study that was used was instrumental, we worked with a census sample, which included 1000 students, from ages between 18 to 30 years. The study aimed to explore the psychometric properties of research competency scales published in the scientific literature in seven databases: Scopus, Web Of Science, ERIC, Embase, EBSCO, PubMed and SciELO between 2014 and June 2023. Thirteen papers were systematized, where 11 scales were found that measured content validity using indexes such as the S-CVI, Aiken's V and item-test correlations.
