Este documento apresenta o estudo de caso do Sistema Comunitário de Água Tarqui-Victoria del Portete na província de Azuay, Equador, como uma estratégia para enfrentar a ameaça da exploração mineira. A população local que pertence ao sistema comunitário tem gerado formas coletivas de organização social para resistir e enfrentar o projeto de mineração de ouro Loma Larga. A partir desta instituição, eles promovem a organização coletiva como forma de reproduzir a vida, conservando a gestão e defesa da água e da natureza, ao mesmo tempo em que enfrentam o avanço da atividade mineira.

In recent times, an unprecedented event in contemporary history has disrupted social systems, exposing vulnerabilities in our educational system, mainly in economically disadvantaged areas. The covid- 19 arrived in an untimely manner and forced to make resounding changes in the way the teaching-learning process has been developing. Unesco (2020) reports that the pandemic has affected "1.6 billion students in more than 190 countries on all continents. School and other educational closures have affected 94% of students worldwide, a figure that rises to 99% in low- and lower-middle-income countries."

El presente trabajo busca indagar acerca de la relación existente entre nuevas lógicas políticas y sociales que tuvieron lugar a principios del siglo XXI en Argentina y sus formas de re-traducción en prácticas educativas concretas por parte de distintos actores en la institución escolar en aquella especial coyuntura. Para tal fin proponemos un abordaje hermenéutico-crítico basado en el relato de experiencias y de observaciones participantes provenientes de diversos actores del Universo de la práctica con el fin de repensar las mismas a través de diferentes aportes del pensamiento educativo y filosófico crítico. El objetivo propuesto es intentar reconstruir el entramado de significaciones subyacentes inherentes a una determinada visión del mundo educativo desplegada en procesos de fuertes cambios sociales y políticos a lo largo de la historia reciente.

Based on the Evaluative Model of Normative Appeals (EMNA), we designed a diagnosis tool that allows forecasting the extent to which employees may comply with a set of norms. We first performed two cross-sectional studies to apply the tool within a general sample of workers (Study 1, N = 382) and within a sample of employees of a specific organization (Study 2, N = 82). Two months later we tested in the same organization (Study 3, N = 80) whether the willingness to comply with a set of normative appeals was aligned with the diagnosis generated in Study 2. The results support the validity of the tool to diagnose the perception of and willingness to comply with normative appeals.

In this paper, we will try to ask about the relationship between the new social and political logics that took place in the early twenty first century in Argentina and its ways of re translation into concrete educational practices performed by teachers at school. In order to reach this, we proposed a critical hermeneutic approach based on the telling of some experiences and participant observations of many different actors and, also, from the universe of the practices that, throughout the contributions of critical authors, let us identify some underlying meanings regarding particular ways of management at school. In few words, we were interested in try to link the educational processes that took place throughout the recent history at schools and its changes deployed in that specific, complex, social and political context.

El presente estudio investiga los aspectos predictivos del conflicto trabajo-familia en profesionales de hospitales. Tales contextos son comúnmente investigados en los dominios de salud y factores organizacionales, siendo el conflicto trabajo-familia poco explorado aún. Las investigaciones sobre la relación trabajo-familia son importantes para las organizaciones, las familias, los profesionales y la sociedad. Se realizó un estudio de levantamiento de datos, con 470 trabajadores con una edad media de 34.5 años; y una media de 8 años de tiempo de profesión. Esta investigación indaga las creencias que 14 integrantes del equipo directivo de cuatro establecimientos educativos reportan en relación a las fortalezas y obstáculos presentes en las escuelas para la atención de la Alta Capacidad. El análisis de contenido cualitativo de las entrevistas semiestructuradas revela dos amplias temáticas, creencias y valoraciones, y acciones y prácticas. Los resultados señalan apertura a la temática, una comprensión restringida de la Alta Capacidad y obstáculos administrativos y técnicos para su atención en el contexto de la inclusión educativa. Se requiere de un esfuerzo concertado y sistemático que involucre a toda la comunidad escolar, a fin de brindar oportunidades reales de reconocimiento y desarrollo a este estudiantado.

The objective of the study was to assess the perception of two officials in relation to the management control system (MCS) used to assess the performance of a Brazilian Credit Union. For this, a research instrument adapted from two studies by Ferreira and Otley (2006) and Beuren and Teixeira (2014) was applied to 82 employees representing 21.08% of the total number of employees of the cooperative. The data are treated by means of descriptive statistics and information entropy techniques. This essay aims to analyze the construction and consolidation of the performance evaluation of school principals as a tool of “New Public Management” and the consequences it can generate for these educational actors. To achieve this goal, within the framework of New Public Management and the theory of performativity, a review of international literature has been conducted. This review reveals that this type of evaluation has been expanding across various continents through specific public policies, signifying a global trend. This paper presents the results of a non-experimental cross-sectional study conducted under a mixed explanatory design (with manifest and latent variables), in an indigenous school in a rural area and an urban school in Morelos (Mexico). The sociodemographic context of the schools of origin was considered as a predictor variable of Mathematics achievement in 6th grade of primary school, and the educational level of the parents and family support were considered as mediating variables.
