Therefore, organizations must be innovative in their processes, technologies, products and services that they offer. Because of this, the role of design becomes relevant, due to its processes and way of thinking that is user centered to any solution approach. Design Management is the management of design. The article proposes a new methodology, the three-perspective approach, for the classification of photographs in archives. It is based on the intersection of visual economy and mass communication theory. This approach understands the archive as a relational phenomenon, where images participate in networks of meaning and power. The three perspectives are the sender and production, the image and circulation, and the audience and consumption, all framed within a specific space/time. The methodology is applied to the case study of the TAFOS project collection, active between 1986 and 1998. The approach allows for multiple classifications according to the version of the archive, and opens new ways to explore its communicative and expressive potential. The proposal seeks to strengthen the continuity of photographic archives as living agents decentered from library logic, promoting discursive d...

This bibliographical study explores the concept and importance of Corporate Reputation (CR) in different economic sectors and how this concept has evolved in education. Higher education institutions have been forced to implement marketing strategies that allow them to generate CR and promote the development of higher education. CR has become an object of application and practice in the academic and business worlds to achieve recognition and positioning that leads solid and lasting competitive advantages. CR in organizations and universities is explored through bibliographic research. Currently, organizations are more concerned with building a CR that can be maintained over time. This, in turn, directs institutions towards the practice of innovation and continuous development in higher education. These ideas may influence universities to begin to adopt strategic plans driven by the needs ...

This pedagogical experience with first-year architecture students focused on the creation of Light–Sound Sculptures as a means to explore spatial perception through multisensory processes. The objective was to translate musical abstraction into three-dimensional compositions, integrating form, sound, and light within a synesthetic proposal. The qualitative and experimental methodology, applied to a cohort of 20 students, was based on the analysis of a selected musical piece, transferring its attributes (expressivity, timbre and sound color, form and structure, rhythm and tempo, melody, harmony, silence and space, text and message, style and genre, as well as cultural and historical context, and listener impact) into the design of a sculptural object. The results, evaluated through design rubrics and systematic reflective analyses, demonstrate the feasibility of synesthetic translat...

Sturge Weber syndrome (SSW) is characterized by the classic involvement of sporadic neuro-oculo-cutaneous vascular malformations, the pathophysiology of which to date has not been fully elucidated. The discovery of both an arterial and venous molecular profile in the endothelium present in vascular malformations, together with vascular atresia zones distal to the ectatic zones, have led to questioning the embryological theories put forward for decades, to explore the molecular and genetic characteristics in the affected tissue. Currently, a high prevalence of somatic mutation in the GNAQ gene has been reported in the affected tissues of patients with SSW, which encodes an alpha subunit of a Gq protein, whose signaling cascade stimulates cell proliferation, which may be responsible of the sustained growth of malformations in the three mentioned regions. The present study aims to explain th...

Objective: to provide evidence-based clinical recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Methods: a guideline development group (GEG) was formed that included specialized physicians in the fields of neurology, neuropediatrics, genetics, and methodology. The GEG asked eight clinical questions to be answered by recommendations in this clinical practice guidelines (CPG). We conducted a systematic search and - when deemed relevant - primary studies in Medline, Scopus, and the Cochrane Controlled Register of Trials during 2021 were reviewed. Evidence was selected to answer each of the clinical questions posed. Certainty of the evidence was assessed using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) system. In periodic work meetings, the GEG used the GRADE methodology to review the evidence and formulate recommendations, po...

This article makes a critical and systematic review of 72 qualitative and quantitative studies related to the subject of violence against older women (VOW) in LAC between the years 2000 and 2020. It aims to evaluate to what extent they have managed to analyse this phenom- enon using an intersectional approach —as a gender— and age-based problem simultaneously and the gaps, limitations and main findings of this body of research. This review shows that this subject’s study has been dominated by the conceptual frameworks of «elder abuse» and «violence against women» (VAW). They approached this subject through a medical perspective and quantitative methodologies and failed to fully understand it since they addressed violence in a frag- mented way. In comparison, a novel group of studies carried out by social researchers through the conceptual framework of «intersectionality» appr...

The etymological origin of the word "Perú" presents historical gaps that have traditionally been attributed to the Spanish. However, the globalization of knowledge and access to new sources allow for the exploration of alternative hypotheses. The study aims to demonstrate that "Perú" has roots in indigenous South American languages, specifically in Amazonian, Tupi-Guarani, Quechua, and other indigenous Amazonian languages. The research uses a basic qualitative approach, with an exploratory descriptive level, utilizing the historical method to analyze documentary and etymological sources. The results reveal that the Amazonian origin is supported by the phonetic similarity with river names such as Pará, Paru, Apere, Purús, Paraná, and Perené. In the Tupi-Guarani context, it is related to terms such as "Peabirú" (road to Birú or Perú), Paraguay, and Uruguay. In Quechua, "Pirwa" or ...

The purpose of this study was to analize how a group of Education Faculty Students have their own social representations on working children, particulary how they conceive a working child, why a child works and about his or her family, but also how as future educators they will have a good management as social workers and they will succeed to establish a positive relationship with working children. The survey- a semistructured questionnairewas applied to 28 female students of the faculty of education and the results showed us the prevalence of the protectionist paradigm in relation to working children, but also a lack of a co-protagonism approach at all.
