The purpose of this article is to present a critical review of the ways in which the performance of university teachers are usually evaluated. Generally, the institutions state proposal of evaluation that usually coincide with what is evaluated and the use of the results. It includes the review of the different evaluation models to show the discrepancies between the objectives and the practices, that is, the poor relationship between the model used and what is done. Universities usually declare that the focus of the evaluation is improvement of practice. One of the most used instruments is the questionnaire, with which an accurate measurement can be made, but generally it does not evaluate the teaching performance, but, in the best-case scenario, the opinion of the students. If universities state that the evaluation should serve to improve the teaching practice, it would be advisable to ...

The objective of the research was to provide a new perspective to the profile of the university evaluator, with better alternatives, purposes, and scientific-academic scope. We know that the profile of the university evaluator must meet high academic and social requirements to achieve a better educational system consistent with the social environment. However, the problem is that few evaluators are properly trained to carry out a task that involves the scientific measurement of the processes of the university community. Consequently, we propose as a thesis to redefine the work of the university evaluator with clearly marked values and visions for a systematic academic advance. The research methodology has followed the analytical-reflexive qualitative approach. It is concluded that the university evaluator must be predisposed to change from methods, forms, and practices that give a ...

It was observed that empathy predicts prosocial behaviour in children and that empathic people are less aggressive due to their emotional sensitivity and capacity to understand the potential negative consequences for themselves and others that can arise from aggression. For this reason, empathy appears negatively related to aggression and positively related to prosocial behaviour. Empathy includes cognitive processes and affective experiences, and it means at the same time a predominantly cognitive answer of understanding about other person feelings and an emotional communion. Davis (1983) defines empathy as a multidimensional construct. His scale includes cognitive components: Perspective Taking and Fantasy, and emotional components: Empathic Concern and Personal Distress. We will present the Argentine adaptation of The Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) of Davis (1980) that has 28 it...

Designing a performance metric by the fuzzy logic, the purpose of which is incorporated more aspects of the management processes of any organization including those subjective. To show how this metric was applied prior to a billing process of a company of herbicides, where this metric was constructed by traditional indicators of efficiency and effectiveness, producing fuzzy performance measures. The results show that this fuzzy measure performance is stable and valid as it is built on classical performance indicators already familiar with the properties they own. These metrics diff se somehow standardize the processes of the organization. The construction of the software and the results obtained from the fuzzy logic module of MATLAB version 7.0 (fuzzy toolbox).

The perspective of Peruvian university educational model based on competencies leads to new educational procedures and their evaluation. The architectural professional career in its process of adaptation requires implementing these procedures. The evaluation of the performance process of architecture students, especially in design workshops, has the rubric as a qualitative instrument used to describe their performance. The analytical rubric to evaluate the architectural project competencies in the design workshop was the objective achieved. Due to its descriptive scope it was a qualitative research, testing the rubric through the valuation method. The rubric was applied in the project issues, the architectural research, the architectural program and the representation of the final project, of the Design Workshop 10 in 2017-2 semester of the Public University of the Center of Peru. Welding constitutes a type of permanent joint in the assembly process in the secondary manufacturing industry such as construction for the manufacture of automobiles, aircraft, bridges, tanks, ships, pipes, among others. The objective of this research was to compare the mechanical tensile strength and hardness of welded specimens. The mechanical traction was to evaluate the resistance to breakage of the weld seams by the MIG/MAG process versus the SMAW welding process, on ASTM 36 base material. The hardness was to determine the plastic deformation of the area affected by heat during the fusion process. For this purpose, the universal testing machine was used to determine the stress-strain relationship of each process; while a hardness tester was used for hardness. In this experiment, 12 welded specimens and two non-welded control specimens were used to determine the quantitative deviatio...

The tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is an important mediator of the inflammatory reactions; it seems to play a central roll in the pathogenesis of several chronic inflammatory diseases including the periodontitis. It has been demonstrated that different rates exist from TNF alpha in vitro and in vivo between the individuals, so it can be associated with the presence of certain genetic polymorphism. The purpose of this investigation is to study the degree of polymorphism of the gene TNF-alpha (-308G/A) in samples of adult Peruvian patients and analyze the relationship with periodontal processes. For the study 81 blood samples with anticoagulant EDTA of people between 25 and 52 years were collected (47,5 average ± 7,4). 11 of them were people who had severe periodontal processes (average 35,2 ± 2,3). There was a greater frequency of genotype GG (G alele for the gene TNF-alpha-308) of the 82,...

Health Technologies (HT) are important to make appropriate decisions in the field of health. The need to standardize TS evaluations is highlighted, since there are currently differences in the methods and recommendations used. In addition, the lack of trained human resources to carry out these evaluations is mentioned, as well as the long times they can take. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize the technologies to be evaluated to maximize available resources. In Latin America, the health technology prioritization process presents various barriers, such as the lack of an explicit and formal prioritization process in most countries. These barriers include fragmentation of health services, disagreement among stakeholders, and fear of reduced discretion in decision-making. Despite these difficulties, prioritization processes have been developed based on different methodological framewor...

In contrast to the concept that on Nefrósico Syndrome be had in the past, when a degenerative disease túbulis was accepted, is now considered ( 1, 7 , 39) that primitive disorder of Nefrósico Syndrome sits mainly in the basal membrane glomerulus , allowing increased permeability , especially for low molecular weight proteins ( Aliaand Gamma- globulins ) and only secondarily then occurs tubular alterations. Nefrósico syndrome , characterized clinically by marked edema, albuminaria , hypoalbuminemia and hypercholesterolemia , is presented in a series of processes , such as some Diffuse glomerulonephritis Chronic Renal amyloidosis , Diabetes Mellitus ( Kimmelstiel -Wilson syndrome ) , thrombosis renal vein , infectious (syphilis and malaria ) , effects of various drugs ( mercurial compounds , etc.).
