An educational model explains the approach aimed at carving professionals that will boost the financial, social and cultural development of the country beyond excellence. It is the theoretical and methodological foundation for the planning, execution and evaluation of the academic and professional processes. This text describes the theoretical and educational principles underlying the purpose behind every Education program which begins with an essential reflection: Why do we educate? We believe that the answer to such crucial meditation is that we educate in order to shape a professional that is capable of exercising his freedom with great responsibility fighting every external and internal factor that may prevent him from going the right path. For example, how could a university defend and declare freedom of thought, if such freedom is not possible or necessary as determinism philosophi...

This article aims to present a model that reflects the need for educational innovation that higher education institutions (HEIs) should consider when restructuring their administration, renewing their educational curriculum including entrant/graduate profiles, and collaborating with the various interest groups within the industry and society. The methodology of this study is qualitative, supported by a documented and cross-sectional investigation. As a result, a model is shown that represents the various elements that make up the need and relevance of educational innovation in HEIs. Through this model, educational innovation is shown to be a current necessity and all HEIs must assume their capacities to give it importance and take action for change.

The Psychometric Research Group of the University of Oviedo participated in different presentations and workshops organized within the framework of the II International Congress of Psychological Evaluation held in November 2018 at the San Ignacio De Loyola University (Lima, Peru). This work gathers part of those contributions. Specifically, the aim of this paper is to present the mathematical models and methodological procedures available for the analysis of data in the evaluation of educational systems. The design, execution and dissemination of the results of an evaluation program of the education system is a complex task that poses a challenge in different areas, among which data analysis stands out. These programs have two main purposes: to know and describe the level of knowledge and skills of the student population and to identify and analyze the context and process factors associa...

Purpose: This study aims to propose and test a model of educational quality in marketing-management by incorporating resource-capability variables that are linked to learning outcomes for students and the competitive positioning of universities. Design/methodology/approach – Drawing on the resource-dependence theory this study develops a comprehensive model for measuring educational quality. A sample comprising Spanish university teachers has been used to test the hypothesised relationships by using a two-stage least squares regression analysis while controlling for the possible effect of the public/private nature of the university. Findings – The results validate the model and show that educational capabilities are reliable variables for predicting the educational quality of marketing-management programmes at Spanish universities. Research limitations/implications – Similar to all...

Educational materials (textbooks in particular) are key for improving learning, especially in precarious school contexts. In the case of Peru, from 1990 on, the State has experimented with different models of educational material provision. In spite of their differences, they share a lack of impact in improving students’learning outcomes. The authors state that the problem stems from the absence of teacher training in how to use educational materials, which should be a core element of any model of educational material provision.

The research has as an objective to verify the relationship between the educational model from Don Bosco and the relations at school between the fourth graders of secondary from San Luis County, Ancash. The level of the investigation is descriptive, the type of investigation is substantive and the design is correlational. The population coincides with the sample, which was deliberately selected. In this sample, 25 fourth-year high school students participated. The instruments used to collect information on the variables correspond to a Likert scale and a survey. The results obtained confirm a significant relationship between the “Don Bosco” educational model and school coexistence. In conclusion, it was shown that the forming pillars of reason, religion and love develop and stabilize human relationships.

Higher education faces the challenge of adapting its strategies to the diversity of students’ learning paces and styles. Traditionally, pedagogy has been the predominant approach to teaching, even in higher education. In contrast, andragogy offers a model of self-directed and experiential learning. The aim of this study was to propose a mixed educational model to improve university training, through a systematic review based on the PRISMA protocol. A total of 76 articles were identified, of which 10 were selected according to quality and relevance criteria established by the JADAD scale. The results indicate that the integration of pedagogical and andragogical strategies fosters active participation, autonomy, and the development of critical competencies in university students. It is concluded that a mixed model constitutes a necessary alternative to strengthen the quality of higher ed...

The hypotheses were tested using Student's t-test. Results. It was evidenced that the application of the balanced scorecard model significantly improved the quality of customer service at the Institute, since in the related samples hypothesis test (pre- and post-test of the experimental group) the calculated t (tc = 4.51) is greater than the tabulated o...
