This article describes the construction and validation of the “Scale of Social Problems in Chile”. The scale was developed considering the main social issues at a national and municipal level. The instrument was validated using quantitative methodology, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The participants were 456 residents of the Valparaíso municipality, Chile. Cases were selected using quota sampling to reflect the demographic composition of the region in terms of the sex and age groups found in the municipality. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) V24.0, while confirmatory factor analysis was performed with R console and the Rcmdr interface. These analyses made it possible to establish that the factor structure of the scale differentiates national problems from local ones.

This work analyzes the technical problem in which the discourse of inclusive education has become through the lack of ethical responsibility of educational provision, a liberal argument that reinforces the permanent defense of rights while the conditions of oppression and domination conceived in terms of injustice continue to operate strongly in the life of each person and community. Interculturality, as an idea and as a fact, so present since the last decades of the last century, because of the increasing domestic and international migrations worldwide, entails conceptions which come to be too diverse as the prevailing cultures at the regions of exchange. These differences favor some viewpoints and political interests, disregarding others. This obstructs the generation of shared mainstream. And Latin America holds a singular position therein.

This study explores the predominant mathematical thinking style that students with academic talent used in solving mathematical problems. Thinking styles are preferences by subjects in the way of expressing mathematical skills against a task, in this case, visual, formal and integrated. We assessed 99 students from an academic support talent program, in a retrospective ex post facto study with only one group. We administered the questionnaire mathematical thinking styles of Borromeo-Ferri and determined that these students exhibited mostly an integrated style of thinking, which involves the use of symbols and verbal representations with visual expressions in solving mathematical exercises. They also show a strong orientation to address the problems of combined mode, which involves considering them as a whole at a time.

Este trabajo aborda el sobre endeudamiento como fenómeno de suma importancia cuyos efectos en la vida de las personas afectadas y a nivel social son sumamente negativos, por lo que el asunto merece ser regulado por el Estado. Se busca conceptualizar el sobre endeudamiento, como aquella situación que sitúa al consumidor en una situación económica desfavorable debido a la cantidad de sus deudas y a su falta de liquidez, hasta el punto de comprometer el sustento propio y el de su familia. El sobreendeudamiento tiene consecuencias sociales negativas, causa daños al deudor y también a la sociedad. Ante la ausencia de protección específica para el consumidor sobre endeudado, se plantea una sugerencia de modificación al Código de Protección al consumidor teniendo en cuenta la experiencia de otros países.

El presente artículo muestra el carácter problemático de los qualia para una teoría de lo mental. Con el término ‘qualia,’ hacemos referencia a aspectos no intencionales de estados mentales eminentemente cualitativos como pueden ser las experiencias perceptuales, las emociones, los humores y las sensaciones corporales. Estos aspectos no intencionales suelen caracterizarse como intrínsecos, inefables, infalibles, atómicos, privados, directos e irreductibles a lo físico. Se explica, además, el argumento de los qualia ausentes como crítica al funcionalismo sobre lo mental.

Femicide is a complex problem that involves successive forms of violence in emotional relationships, causing significant individual and collective consequences. The objective was to analyze the representational systems present in the discursive repertoires in legal sentences about cases of feminicide in the state of Bahia, in 2020 and 2021. Documentary study of cases reported as feminicide by the Public Ministry in 2020/2021 in Bahia, available at Jusbrasil Platform. 121 documents were found, of which 15 sentences met the inclusion criteria. This research sought to describe the physical, psychological, social, and academic consequences of university students during the first year of confinement, and to identify the main coping strategies used. Following a qualitative methodology, 67 university students from different regions of the country were interviewed. The results showed that there was an initial acceptance of confinement by students, as an extreme sanitary measure necessary to reduce cases of contagion, but that as time went by it began to be perceived as a terrible experience characterized by the loss of routines, lack of control and permanent uncertainty that ended up affecting different areas of their functioning. Studies on migrations and migrants are especially aimed at identifying the problems that arise in the journeys from the place of origin and arrival to the planned space, however, they are usually influenced by narratives taken uncritically, in this case from the IOM. The study aims to analyze and identify the metaphors and sentences that reveal a certain ideological-discursive trend related to the so-called Governance in the document Highlights of the 2020 Annual Report offered by this organization. Based on this analysis, concepts were identified that together with others make up a virtuous equation, a process that entails, due to the level of expertise in its composition, an unquestionable degree of veracity, since they are located in what is called politically correct in the multiculturalism. In this way, the IOM narratives create a virtual migrant under the so-called data economy.

This contribution aims at showing the challenges faced by patients whose treatment for chronic and degenerative diseases implies weight control. Under a qualitative research approach, guided by psychoanalysis, in-depth interviews were conducted and data analyzed through content analysis. Results seem to indicate that the patients’ challenges have three dimensions: a) a socio-structurally institutional one, b) the therapeutic bond, and c) a psychic-drive correlate. It was concluded that patients attribute their main difficulties to the lack of institutional services and to the therapeutic bond; they do not acknowledge the inconsistencies in weight control within their psychic correlate, nor take responsibility for their treatment or self-care. Moreover, institutional shortcomings limit the treatment reach and contribute to the problem chronification.

Los accidentes de lesiones no intencionales son una de las causas de morbilidad y mortalidad que no discriminan edad, ni sexo y son las quemaduras una de las más destacadas en la lista y se pueden presentar en distintos grados de intensidad. RESUMEN El presente trabajo tuvo como fin el desarrollo de una Propuesta de mejora mediante laaplicación de la metodología Lean Manufacturing, para reducir los costos operacionales del área de Acabados en la Empresa NORSAC S.A. En primer lugar se efectúa un diagnóstico situacional de la empresa, para identificar losproblemas existentes, para este fin se utilizó el Diagrama Ishikawa; donde luego seexponen las causas raíz que inciden dichos problemas. Para la solución de esta situación, se usaron las herramientas SMED, 5 S’s, Poka Yokey un programa de capacitación que contiene los temas antes mencionados. Disminuyendo sus costos operativos en S/. 127,812.25. Finalmente se realizó una evaluación económica, arrojando un VAN deS/.4,786,917.07, TIR 3847.95% y un B/C de 2.8. Lo cual concluye que la propuesta es rentable para la empresa.
