Objectives: To determine the validity and reliability of the instrument "Computer Vision Syndrome Questionnaire (CVS-Q)" in the measurement of the Computer Visual Syndrome in health personnel in Lima. Methods: A quantitative, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and questionnaire study was carried out in 82 health workers. Content validity was evaluated by expert judgment with the Aiken V statistical method; construct validity, through factor analysis; discriminant validity, through the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) curve contrasted with the CSSV17 questionnaire; internal consistency reliability, with Cronbach's alpha; reliability test - re-test (7 days apart); with Spearman's Rho and Interclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) with 95% CI. Recent advances in computer vision have favored technological developments in the automotive industry. In this work, we present methods relevant to the use of cameras as measurement devices in computer vision and their applications in the automotive industry. The methods are edge and ellipse detection, camera calibration, 3-D reconstruction and stereo vision. The applications include methods for detecting rims in automotive wheels, estimation of the calibration angles of vehicles and the reconstruction of a vehicle's trajectory using stereo vision. The results showed the potential of computer vision methods to solve complex problems in the automotive industry. In conclusion, a set of techniques and applications of computer vision in the automotive industry are presented in order to motivate future developments in this and other related areas.

This article analyzes the application of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) in the field of computer vision, using the bibliometric method. An analysis of literary samples, using basic descriptive statistics, is performed by filtering the Scopus database of 2526 records, comprising a period of 5 years (2018-2022). The review of the theoretical framework reveals that CNRs are employed in various computer vision applications such as image recognition, object classification, pattern detection and other applications related to image processing including fault diagnosis. Fish larvae counting is a technique applied in aquaculture to determine the efficiency of the induction stage and to know the number of fertilized larvae. For this reason, the research aims to improve the count of larvae under 3 fundamental pillars: precision, error and time. For this, we carried out an experimental investigation under a completely randomized design with two counting systems: traditional and artificial vision; each one with 10 repetitions, with 2000 larvae; Later, we carried out the count by means of artificial vision using a camera that captured images of a fish tank with moving fish. Pokémon Double Battles present a complex decision-making environment that has traditionally relied on manual data analysis. This paper introduces an automated system leveraging computer vision and deep learning to extract structured gameplay data from battle footage. Our approach integrates You Only Look Once (YOLO) for Pokémon sprite recognition along with Tesseract-based optical character recognition (OCR) for extracting move and status text. This mechatronic system uses a Raspberry Pi V3 camera mounted on glasses to capture images of printed texts. The images are processed through Optical Character Recognition, and the extracted text is converted to audio using a Text-to-Speech synthesizer, allowing the user to access the visual content audibly. The device is based on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ microcontroller for data management and control of the electronic components. It is designed to be portable, ergonomic, and energy-efficient, with a long-lasting battery.

The learning process in training children with visual impairments and low vision requires the use of new devices that integrate image recognition and feedback on stimulation sequences with the senses of tactile and auditory responses into their design. Eighteen students with visual impairments (blind or low vision) between the ages of eight and twelve, who attend a school specialized in teaching children with visual impairments, completed three numerical stimulation routines.
