The aim of the study was to describe the demographic indicators of the population of dogs and cats with owner in the district of Lince, Lima. The study was based on the use of surveys. The study population was the dwellings of five sectors of the Lince district. The study collected a total of 737 valid surveys, which came mainly from houses (60.5%) and apartments (37.3%). The results show that 46.0% of the houses had dogs and 16.4% had cats. The average number of animals per dwelling was 1.4 for dogs and 1.8 for cats. The human: dog ratio was 5.4, and the human: cat ratio was 12.3. The percentage of survival of their offspring was 84% in dogs and 81.8% in cats and estimated life expectancy was 11.5 and 5.8 years, for domestic dogs and cats, respectively. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of serological antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii in domestic cats (Felis silvestris catus) from shelters in Metropolitan Lima. To accomplish this, we designed a descriptive observational cross-sectional study, selecting 125 cats from shelters located in the districts of Lurin, Miraflores, and Santiago de Surco. Animals chosen were adult cats of both sexes, regardless of their health condition. They were selected proportionally and randomly within each shelter. Blood samples (1 mL) were processed using the indirect hemagglutination test to detect serological IgG and IgM antibodies against T. gondii. Objectives: To determine the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of cat scratch disease in adults in Lima, Peru. Methods: Descriptive, retrospective study carried out at the Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia in Lima and a Private Center in Lima, in the period between 2016 and 2025, in patients over 18 years of age. The objective of the study was to determine the demographic indices, and to estimate the population of domestic cats (Felis catus) kept at home in the district of Jesús María, Lima, Peru, during the month of June 2024. To this end, a housing survey was planned and conducted to identify the demographic characteristics of cats (age, sex, breed, reproductive capacity, reproductive control, and life expectancy.) In addition, the human-cat ratio was calculated for the nine areas of the district, using blocks as the primary sampling unit (in the case of apartment buildings, each one was considered a block). The aim of this study was to evaluate the perception of sellers and buyers about the presence of stray dogs and cats within the markets and their control strategy in the Los Olivos district in 2019. In total, 20 sellers and 20 buyers were surveyed in each of the 10 selected markets (total 400 surveys). The results showed that 79.5 and 60.3% of the surveyed observed stray dogs and cats, respectively; 59.2% stated that they had owners; 59.9% of sellers and 36.2% of buyers indicated the presence of dogs in the markets was mainly due to the owners bringing them. Besides, 78.4% said that they represent a problem because they pollute the environment (66.9%), transmit diseases (35.6%) and contaminate food (30.1%). The objective of the present study was to determine the frequency of the infection with Toxoplasma gondii in two canine populations, those that live together with domestic felines and those which do not; and to determine the risk of infection with T. gondii associated with the presence of domestic felines. A total of 104 samples were evaluated using the Indirect Hemagglutination Test. The results showed that 36.5% (38/104) were positive, while 35% (21/60) and 38.6% (17/44) were dogs that do not live and live with domestic felines respectively and without significant association between the presence of cats and the level of infection. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el tipo de gingivitis felina mediante una descripción histopatológica a partir de la toma de biopsias de la mucosa gingival de gatos atendidos en una clínica veterinaria de Lima que presentaron signos clínicos de gingivitis, tales como disfagia, halitosis, molestias orales, sialorrea y pérdida de peso. Se colectaron 31 muestras de mucosa gingival para la evaluación histopatológica. El 64.5% (20/31) de los pacientes presentaron gingivitis linfoplasmocítica, donde se pudo observar la presencia de células Mott en el 15.0% (3/20). El 16.1% presentó congestión (5/31), 3.2% estomatitis crónica (1/31), 9.7% acantosis (3/31), 3.2% gingivitis neutrofílica (1/31) y 6.5% erosión (2/31). En este proyecto de investigación se tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto de la incorporación de conchas de abanico trituradas en el comportamiento de las mezclas asfálticas en caliente. La metodología de la presente investigación es de tipo experimental-aplicada, de diseño cuasiexperimental, de enfoque cuantitativa y de nivel explicativa. La población son todos los asfaltos pavimentados y por pavimentar en Lima, la muestra 36 briquetas, siendo el muestreo no probabilístico, la técnica fue la observación directa y los instrumentos; las fichas de recolección de datos. Para la mezcla convencional se utilizaron (4.7%, 5.2%, 5.7% y 6.2% de asfalto), el tipo de asfalto fue PEN60-70. Para las adiciones se utilizaron (10%, 15% y 20% de CAT).
