The growth of the exports of the country natural resources and foreign investment in the extractivist sectors are crucial for the development of Peruvian economy. Since the 1990s, the economic development model has been based on the export of commodities and the markets deregulation. In this article we argue that the continuity of the extractivist development model of the country is the consequence of the interaction between the objective and subjective conditions of the Peruvian capitalist development. The analysis of the objective conditions focuses on the role of the country in the international division of labor, the relation between this role and the economic and corporate structure of Peru, and the functionality of the extractivist development model for the Peruvian State. In the case of the subjective conditions, the force of political left, the workers movement and the social mov...

A cloud-native application is a software specifically designed to run in the cloud, focusing on distributed, elastic, horizontally scaled, and microservice-based architecture with autonomous deployment. These applications are designed with cloud-native web architectures, operate on an elastic self-service platform, and stand out because of their resilience and elasticity. Continuous software engineering integrates requirements engineering, development, and operations in a continuous loop with reciprocal feedback to produce quality software. The present work proposes to design and implement a cloud-native application applied to the SIGCON case study from a continuous software engineering perspective. It uses the CaaS cloud service model, applies the BFF pattern in software construction, containerizes the frontend, backend, and storage, and presents the results.

Microservices are conceived as an architectural style focused on developing applications through a set of services, independent, scalable, collaborative, evolutionary, capable of adapting to complex ecosystems. On the other hand, DevOps is a paradigm that uses a set of principles focused on the continuous delivery and integration of software, this implies a new culture to develop and deploy software in highly collaborative and agile contexts aimed at reducing the gap between development and operations. It is in this context that the present work proposes an Architecture based on Microservices and DevOps for continuous software engineering and applies the proposal through a case study with the participation of development teams formed by the students of the Workshop courses of Software and Systems Construction of the academic semesters: 2018-1, 2018-2, 2019-1, 2019-2 and led by the author...

Peru is one of the countries most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, where the health crisis quickly provoked a serious socio-economic and political crisis. The fragile Peruvian state was unable to build an effective response to this multifaceted crisis, in this context, we defend the hypothesis that forms of affectivity, solidarity, memory and collective resilience related to the recent past (1980-1990) were reactivated in many rural and urban communities of the country. Based on a qualitative methodology, this article questions the role that the collective memory played in reactivating historical forms of community resilience at the local level. Based on three empirical cases (the rondas campesinas, the Covid commandos and the ollas comunes), we analyze how the memories of past violence and crises, as well as the responses to them, have offered original tools in certain communities to ...

The progress of a research project is presented, in its phase of cabinet work on learning based on challenges to be experienced with students from a university training program in alternative basic education.Pedagogy as a science of education welcomes other successful practical disciplines, one is the challenge-based learning technique-CBL-, that changes the currently dominant frontist learning sessions in ABE. As such, it can be applied to various educational situations in institutions, in the case of the teaching / learning process of previous and continuous professional training of teachers for this modality. The main idea of the technique, the students build a relevant challenge / problem in the community, advance their research and communicate the results through digital means, as well as use the protocols for future applications, this is achieved in the four-phase sessions: t...

This article presents the results of a research on the transformations in policing practices and population control during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the ways in which these changes were experienced by police officers in Córdoba (Argentina), in the case of the Villa María-Villa Nueva urban agglomerate during 2020-2021. Here we will address the conflicts that were relevant in this location during said period, analyzing the transformations that were identified in police practices and their ways of intervening in these conflicts. We analyze the interactions between police and citizens, looking to highlight the transformations of this already heterogeneous relation. Finally, we will inquire into the experiences of the police during the pandemic, with special emphasis on their perception of risk and recognition of their work, as well as on the use of force. On this basis, we consider that t...

The notable performance of seismically isolated bridges in South America during the last two major seismic events has been reflected in the increase in the use of base insulators in this type of infrastructure. In this work, a multi-span non-isolated bridge was retrofitted to achieve continuous functionality by adopting seismic isolation devices. In order to carry out a comparative evaluation, the bridge was analyzed using elastomeric and sliding type isolation devices. In this case study, the Lead Core Elastomeric Insulator (LRB) and the Triple Pendulum Frictional Insulator (TFPB) were chosen as representative models. For the design of both insulators, it was considered that the values of the isolated periods, the post-yield stiffness and the yield force were similar. This criterion was adopted in order to compare the unique effects of each type of isolator on the seismic response...

The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the need for the implementation of a business continuity system in organizations to deal with critical situations and events that could stop their operations. The objective of this study is to design the business continuity management system (BCMS) of the Ravmar freight agency, based on the ISO 22301:2019 standard. The work method is analytical-descriptive and applied management. To do this, virtual interviews were held with Ravmar's Senior Management to learn about its processes in detail and, then, all the information obtained was analyzed in order to determine the company's level of compliance with the requirements of the ISO standard. After the diagnosis, the proposal for the design of the BCMS was developed for the organization in question, ensuring a level of 100 % compliance of the requirements indicated by the clauses of the rule. Finally, the f...

Influenza is a highly contagious disease. There are some historical descriptions of this condition by ancient Greek physicians, and the etiological agents have been known only for the last eight decades. The causative agent is the influenza virus, which has three main types: A, B, and C. Type A is capable of circulating within many different biological reservoirs, including humans, swine, and birds. It also has high genetic variability, which allows it to have minor antigenic drifts or mutations which are responsible of epidemics in humans. Sometimes changes are quite marked, leading to pandemics. In a globalized world, with more than 6 billion inhabitants, with many social inequities and evident climate changes, influenza viruses are a permanent risk for mankind.Clinical features for the different viral subtypes may vary from subtle infections to full blown and severe, life-threatening f...
