The research aims to analyze the relationships between ambivalent sexism and attitudes justifying violence among peers and domestic violence (in 73 adolescents (43 females and 30 males) aged from 11 to 18 years (M = 15.74, SD = 1.14 ), from a community in psychosocial risk in Loja, Ecuador. The Attitudes towards Diversity and Violence Questionnaire (Díaz-Aguado, Martínez Arias, & Martín Seoane, 2004) was used, as well as the Inventory of Ambivalent Sexism for Adolescents (De Lemus et al., 2008). Positive relationships were obtained between the variables, where hostile sexism proved to be a strong predictor of attitudes that justify domestic violence (R2 = .40, p <.001) and violence between peers (R2 = .39, p <. 001). Therefore, on the one hand, it is relevant for communities at risk to develop violence prevention programs that promote a&nbs...

The article examines civil liability for damages caused by minors and adolescents in Peru, an issue that has intensified following the repeal of Article 1975 of the Civil Code by Legislative Decree 1384. The repealed article established the joint and several liabilities of parents or legal representatives. Currently, under Article 458 of the Civil Code, both minors and adolescents are civilly liable for the damages they cause, provided they act with discernment. However, the lack of patrimonial resources of minors and adolescents complicates the enforceability of reparations, leaving victims unprotected. The objectives of this study are to clarify who should bear civil liability for reparations and to explore the implications of the repeal. The methodology includes a historical and normative analysis of Peruvian legislation showing that the liability of parents and representatives has be...

Psychological capital is defined as a state of positive psychological development that represents the person's positive assessment of the circumstances and their probability of success based on effort and perseverance. It is a construct composed by four components or psychological strengths: efficacy, optimism, hope and resilience. It was widely described and evaluated in the workplace; however, psychological capital can be applied to other spheres of a person's life, such as education. Hence, the objective of this study is to evaluate the psychometric properties of the adaptation to the educational context of the Psychological Capital Questionnaire in the Argentinean adolescent population (N = 313). Construct validity, convergent validity (with school performance and engagement) and reliability levels are analyzed. This research provides empirical evidence that supports good levels of v...

Adolescence is a stage in human development, it is characterized by the search for identity and experimentation, which sometimes leads to tobacco consumption. The habit of smoking tobacco, influenced by social, family and emotional factors, is a health risk. In this context, resilience, the ability to overcome adversity and resist social pressures, plays a fundamental role in the prevention and reduction of tobacco consumption in adolescents. Interventions to smoking use in this population are educational and behavioral interventions. From a nursing perspective, the implementation of prevention and support interventions is essential. In this sense, school nurses have an important role in being an agent that facilitates change, providing evidence-based information, facilitating resilience skills and promoting healthy lifestyles.

This paper aims to analyze the impact of lockdown on education in the context of social acceleration. In this paper, we address the necessary (re)construction required to enhance the education of adolescents. From this perspective, it examines the potential of the adolescent brain, as advocated by Daniel Siegel. The present study employs a bibliographical research methodology to investigate the impact of social acceleration on education in the aftermath of the lockdown. We emphasize that the adolescent phase is crucial for the development of potentials in the educational context. In this vein, a philosophical analysis of the school is conducted, highlighting it as a space for (re)constructing practices that encourage adolescents to listen to the world around them. Therefore, the school must illuminate the potential of adolescence, such as creativity and openness to novelty, as a space fo...
