Our location in the world makes us a country with a high seismic risk. Taking into account that the information produced during a seismic event is of vital importance for the study carried out by seismology, it is necessary to use the appropriate type of instrumentation to record these data. Currently, electronics provides the necessary technology for the study of phenomena of this type. The design and construction of a Digital Accelerograph will allow us to carry out a detailed study of a seismic movement and the effect caused on the structure of buildings. Finally, we can say that the construction of an instrument of this type at a low cost will allow repowering and increasing the CISMID accelerographic network and, in general, improve the knowledge of seismic phenomena at the national level.

One of the factors that determine the productivity inside a company is the state of the machinery with which is counted for the production. Our objective was to design a system that allows the engineers to supervise and to evaluate the state of the machinery, so that this in sot only repaired when it doesn't work, but rather one has the possibility to take a periodic registration of the operation of the same one. Consequently, deficiency in mirror neural networks response could be one of the dysfunctions present in autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), as a phenotypic functional expression of channelopathies in some brain regions.Early detection of deficiencies in mirror neural network systems could allow more efficient applications of behavioral therapies in patients with ASD. The need to develop a BCI brain- computer interface system for the control of a robotic arm in Peru arises from the possibility of interconnecting the human nervous system with a robotic or mechatronic system, and using this concept to recover some motor function. Brain Computer Interface (BCI) is a communication system based on the recording of brain signals (EEG). The electroencephalogram is the basis and support of the BCI technology. It is a novel technology that allows human-machine interaction in a virtual or physical environment, through a communication channel between the central nervous system and a robotic device. Los dispositivos de radio tradicionales tienen una funcionalidad limitada que solo puede modificarse haciendo cambios en el hardware. En este sentido, cualquier mejora en la flexibilidad de un dispositivo de radio tradicional implica un aumento considerable en los costos de producción. Por otro lado, los sistemas de radio definidos por software (SDR) proporcionan una solución relativamente económica y efectiva, permitiendo múltiples funcionalidades que pueden mejorarse simplemente actualizando el software. El presente informe describe la implementación de cuatro sistemas SDR mediante el uso de una computadora portátil con el software GNURadio, una placa transmisora de RF y un dispositivo receptor de RF de bajo costo. Este trabajo se centra en el diseño de transmisores y receptores que pueden realizar técnicas de modulación para señal analógica (FM) y señal digital (QPSK).

Scallion (Allium fistulosum) is a highly perishable green vegetable due to its moisture content, its high metabolic rate and their poor conditions of post-harvest during to harvest and transport. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between visual deterioration´s product and changes generated in the mechanical and acoustic properties of the same. The scallion grown in Aquitania, Boyacá Colombia was stored under different conditions of storing: vacuum packed (10 mbar) and unpacked (HR 68%) and storage temperature 4 ºC and 16 ºC until deterioration by visual appearance. The acoustic mechanical changes in firmness, crispness and fracture for unpacked scallion and stored at 4 °C occurred on day 15 of storage, and visual deterioration on day 13. El objetivo de este manuscrito fue evaluar el efecto del aceite esencial de muña (Minthostachys mollis) en el recubrimiento a base de harina de maca negra (Lepidium meyenii Walp.) y montmorillonita para prolongar la vida útil del melón (Cucumis melo L.) mínimamente procesado. Los cubos de melón se dividieron en cuatro tratamientos: T1 control (sin recubrimiento), T2, T3 y T4 con 0,1 % v/v, 0,2 % v/v y 0,3 % v/v de aceite esencial de muña respectivamente, además se les adicionó harina de maca (2,5 %) y montmorillonita (0,3 %), posteriormente todos los tratamientos se almacenaron durante 12 días a 5±1 °C. The application of edible coatings obtainable from alternative biodegradable materials has gained attention as a promising treatment to prolong the shelf-life of fresh-cut vegetables. Thus, this work aimed to develop a biodegradable coating based on fruit and vegetable residues flour. Immersion coating strategy was studied on the quality of minimally fresh-cut carrots during refrigeration storage by means of weight loss, color variation, pH, titratable acidity and soluble solids content. Better performance was obtained for coated carrots, which exhibited a tendency to have lower whiteness index than uncoated counterparts and enhanced overall quality. The purpose of this work is to implement an algorithm to identify the seismic waves parameters: P phase, S phase, amplitude, period and duration. For this, digital signal processing and the programming language Matlab will be applied to perform the automatic reading of seismic signal parameters. As mathematical tools, the discrete Fourier transform (fft) to study the frecuency components of the signal and the Hilbert transform to obtain the envelope signal, will be used. A graphical user interface in Matlab was designed and implemented for reading (with functions of automatic reading or manual reading) seismic signals with three components. In this way, it makes easy the routine of reading the seismic signals within a great set. The results of the automatic algorithm agree with that of a manual operator for a great Signal/Noise ratio.

Aunque las señales electromiográficas superficiales son la señal de entrada más común para los algoritmos de aprendizaje automático en aplicaciones de reconocimiento de gestos de la mano y estimación de la fuerza del dedo, sólo hay unos pocos sistemas disponibles comercialmente para la adquisición de EMG superficial. Este trabajo propone una matriz de electrodos superficiales seca, barata y fácil de fabricar. Este sistema utiliza múltiples sensores diferenciales activos integrados en una pequeña placa de circuito impreso de doble capa, cada uno de los cuales utiliza dos pequeñas áreas rectangulares de la capa inferior como capa conductora para la adquisición de la señal. Con una ganancia diferencial de 60dB entre 23 y 3000Hz y una relación de rechazo de modo común de -60dB a 60Hz. Se presentan los criterios de diseño y las simulaciones.

This paper proposes a procedure to minimize electrical losses present in industrial systems, through a specific program developed for this purpose, based on Genetic Algorithm, and written using MATLAB instructions.The minimization is realized with the placement of shunt capacitors connected to the buses. For validation of the proposed method, it is considered accuracy and speed, and the developed program´s results are compared with the results produced by traditional programs. The program avoids leading power factor at the bus connected with the power distribution company and the user may determine buses where he does not want the installation of capacitors. The Genetic Algorithm's fitness, responsible for guiding the optimization process, is the active power loss. Finally, the program is applied to minimize active losses present at an industrial system, 38 buses.
