Uno de los factores que determinan la productividad dentro de una empresa es el estado de la maquinaria con la que se cuenta para la producción, Nuestro objetivo fue diseñar un sistema que permita a los ingenieros supervisar y evaluar el estado de la maquinaria que vibra, para que esta no solamente sea reparada cuando deje de funcionar, sino que se tenga la posibilidad de llevar un registro periódico del funcionamiento de la misma. Con ello, se logrará identificar las fallas de la maquinaria en sus diversas fases evolutivas. Esto permitirá realizar una adecuada corrección del problema disminuyendo el costo de mantenimiento y, por tanto, detener la maquinaria por un menor periodo de tiempo. Nuestra ubicación en el mundo nos hace ser un país con un alto riesgo sísmico. Teniendo en cuenta que la información producida durante un evento sísmico es de vital importancia para el estudio que realiza la sismología se hace una necesidad utilizar el tipo de instrumentación adecuada para el registro de estos datos. En la actualidad la electrónica aporta la tecnología necesaria para el estudio de fenómenos de este tipo. El diseño y construcción de un Acelerógrafo Digital nos permitirá el estudio detallado de un movimiento sísmico y el efecto causado sobre la estructura de las edificaciones. Podemos, finalmente, decir que la construcción de un instrumento de este tipo a un bajo costo permitirá repotenciar y aumentar la red aceleró gráfica del CISMID y en general mejorar el conocimiento que se tiene a nivel nacional de los fenómenos sísmicos.

Taking into account that the information produced during a seismic event is of vital importance for the study carried out by seismology, it is necessary to use the appropriate type of instrumentation to record these data. Currently, electronics provides the necessary technology for the study of phenomena of this type. The design and construction of a Digital Accelerograph will allow us to carry out a detailed study of a seismic movement and the effect caused on the structure of buildings. Finally, we can say that the construction of an instrument of this type at a low cost will allow repowering and increasing the CISMID accelerographic network and, in general, improve the knowledge of seismic phenomena at the national level.
