Technological advances and the massive use of mobile devices have led to the exponential evolution of mobile applications in the health sector. Blood donation centers frequently suffer blood shortages due to lack of donations, which is why blood donation requests are frequently seen on social networks for blood donors in urgent need of a transfusion of a specific blood group. Mobile applications for blood donation are crucial in the health sector, since it allows donors and blood donation centers to communicate immediately to coordinate with each other, minimizing the time to perform the donation process. The present work was to develop a location-based mobile application for the search of blood donors, with the objective of increasing the number of donors, having a greater population reach, and reducing the time to search for blood donors. The results obtained show a significant increas...

Overweight is a serious problem in Peru, and compliance with a healthy and balanced diet is essential for its management. Despite the existence of different types of diets and meal plans, people still find it difficult to comply with the treatment. Also, lack of access to adequate nutritional information and lack of follow-up in implementing a low-calorie diet can demotivate people and reduce the effectiveness of the process. To reduce this problem, a mobile application is presented that allows the control of the caloric intake of food, based on food suggestions using Machine Learning. For this purpose, the Support Vector Machine algorithm is applied to train a model that recommends personalized food to users according to their preferences. This is how the application allows users to easily access personalized food recommendations by analyzing their preferences and caloric needs individu...

Fruit consumption is related to the enjoyment of good health and the reduction of the occurrence of diseases such as obesity. At present, in the markets the process of determining the state of maturity of fruits is carried out by employees using only their criteria, since this method is very broad and tedious when carried out, for this the present investigation was developed, in improving the process of determining the state of maturity of fruits. The article exposes the development of a mobile application with Arduino, based on Scrum, to improve the determination of the state of maturity of fruits in markets. Resorting to the use of pure experimental design with a sample of 30 data for each indicator. The results indicate that the margin of error when determining the resistances of the fruit with the application with respect to the multimeter was 4.73 percent and in determining the colo...

Currently, continuous technological advancements are pervasive in society, enhancing various aspects of our lives, including entertainment, information, and communication. In this context, one of the primary domains that can benefit from these advancements is education. The constant technological developments must be applied to the educational system to keep pace with changes in our lifestyle. Augmented reality (AR) is an innovative technology that allows smartphones to combine the real environment with virtual objects. Through the device's accelerometer, gyroscope, and camera, AR places 3D models on the screen based on the user's movements, creating an interactive experience. This technology has the potential to improve the learning experience in schools, making teaching more dynamic and increasing student motivation and interest in subjects such as mathematics and sciences, among other...

Smishing is a form of phishing carried out via mobile devices to steal confidential information from victims. The number of smishing attacks has increased in recent years due to the large number of users acquiring these easy-to-use and functional devices. This literature review objective is to examine the techniques and methods used in smishing attacks using classification algorithms. To do so, we conducted a manual search process and selected 155 articles from Scopus and 29 articles from access to research for development and innovation (ARDI). Of these, 36 articles met the inclusion criteria. In addition, the algorithms most commonly used by the studies were random forest classification techniques, decision trees, and neural networks. These studies analyzed various machine learning models for detecting phishing and smishing messages. The attack simulation scenarios included generating ...

Environmental pollution caused by human activities is a global concern, and recycling is an effective strategy to reduce waste and minimize its negative impact on the environment, as these pollutants can have detrimental impact on ecosystems, human health, and the quality of life in general. Recycling avoids the accumulation of waste in landfills, which can contami-nate soil, water, and air as well as reducing the production of new products. The objective of this work is to implement a mobile application to improve waste management by recycling companies. The Mobile-D methodology was used for the development of the project because it focuses on optimizing the efficiency and performance of mobile applications since it allows working in 5 phases which are: Exploration, Initialization, Production, Stabilization and Testing. In the first indicator (KPI-1), an improvement in customer retentio...

Learning the anatomy of the human skeletal system presents several challenges in understanding the complexity of the human body. One of the most common issues is the absence of effective and accessible learning methods that enable students to gain comprehensive knowledge. Therefore, the use of technologies such as augmented reality (AR) aims to address this issue and facilitate its resolution by enabling students to engage with three-dimensional anatomical models, fostering hands-on, visualization-based learning. The aim of this study is to enhance the learning of human skeletal anatomy through the use of AR technology. The study employed a quantitative approach and a pre-experimental design, in which the experiment was conducted according to the research plan and involved 60 students. Mobile-D was used to develop the mobile application. The findings revealed that 93.3% of participants a...
