The adoption of M-learning and perceptual learning style preferences of South American EFL learners in a business English course were studied empirically. The descriptive correlational research design was used in this study. Data were gathered from 125 South American EFL students who were carefully sampled among 184 mobile-phone-wielding students registered in a business English program at a selected South American university. The Perceptual Learning Style Preference Questionnaire and Mobile Learning Questionnaire (MLQ) were used in the study (PLSPQ). This situation is aggravated when policy makers and decision makers assume that a health system works in a delimited environment with defined rules. Tutorial support has become more relevant in recent years because of its implications on the socio-emotional and academic performance of students. Consequently, many universities are implementing institutional plans designed to enable students to strengthen their skills and abilities. In that sense, the study seeks to examine the perception of a group of 30 inland students, between the ages of 15 and 18, with respect to the activities developed during the 2014-1 tutorial program. A qualitative phenomenological design was used, as well as focus groups and projective techniques for the data collection process. The results indicate that students view the tutorial program as a space for support and attention, which contributes to the college-life adjustment process; however, they indicate that it should be adapted to the group’s ever-changing needs.

Plagiarism is a serious, yet widespread type of research misconduct, and is often neglected in developing countries. Despite its far-reaching implications, plagiarism is poorly acknowledged and discussed in the academic setting, and insufficient evidence exists in Latin America and developing countries to inform the development of preventive strategies. In this context, we present a longitudinal case study of seven instances of plagiarism and cheating arising in four consecutive classes (2011–2014) of an Epidemiology Masters’ program in Lima, Peru, and describe the implementation and outcomes of a multifaceted, “zero-tolerance” policy aimed at introducing research integrity. Arrhythmic storm is characterized by the occurrence of three or more distinct episodes of ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation within a 24-hour period, posing a signifcant risk for cardiovascular complications and resulting in high morbidity and mortality. The objective of this review article is to provide recommendations for the management and pharmacological treatment with the greatest impact on patients with arrhythmic storm, based on the latest global literature. The adaptation of psychometric tests in the context of vulnerable populations in Lima Metropolitana is highly relevant due to its implications for diagnosis and assessment in mental health. This study aimed to identify the psychometric properties of the Patient Health Questionnaire for Depression and Anxiety (PHQ-4) in attendees of community support programs in San Juan de Miraflores. The sample consisted of 115 participants (M = 37.2 years, SD = 9.20; 89.6 % females and 10.4 % males). Exploratory factor analysis identified a unidimensional structure as the best-fitting internal model. The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of knowledge management through informal learning on the relationship between employability and job performance of recent graduates in their first jobs. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey of 392 graduates of business school management programs at 4 universities in Lima, Peru was conducted to study the relationship between employability and job performance as moderated by informal learning inside and outside the work environment.
