Edible films for packaging and plastic material replacement purposes are produced based on biodegradable raw materials such as polysaccharides and agents with biological properties, making the final product an alternative for the protection and extension of the shelf life of foods. The main objective of the present research was to evaluate the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of chitosan biofilms functionalized with muña essential oil. For this purpose, 12 edible films were formulated with 3 concentrations of chitosan (1, 2 and 3%) and 3 of essential oil (0.5, 2 and 5%) including chitosan-only blanks. The films can be obtained from renewable resources such as polysaccharides, proteins, and lipids. Potato starch is a polysaccharide found in abundance, low cost, biodegradable, edible, and can be obtained from agro-industrial waste. In the present study, biodegradable films were obtained from potato starch mixed with montmorillonite nanoclay (MMT) as crosslinking agent and glycerin as a plasticizer; and thus characterize properties such as: permeability to water vapor, solubility, thickness, functional groups by FTIR, analysis of the morphology by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and mechanical properties. 9 mixtures combining different proportions of glycerol (1, 1.5 and 2 ml) with montmorillonite nanoclay (MMT) (0, 0.03 and 0.05 g) were prepared.

The objective is to analyze the effectiveness of these films in sustainability, multifunctionality and food waste reduction. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted in scientific databases, selecting relevant studies published between 2019 and 2024 using specific criteria and PICOC, BIBLIOMETRIX and PRISMA methodologies. The results reveal that 64.29 % of the studies consider edible films to be beneficial, standing out not only for being biodegradable, but also for their ability to protect food, prolong its shelf life and reduce environmental contamination. Chemical Spray Pyrolysis Technique and a combination of sol-gel and spray pyrolysis techniques have been used in order to monitor the morphology of metal-oxide-based thin films to be used as functional materials. We can get from specular to rough-porous surfaces according to the physical-chemical conditions of the precursor / spraying solution. We have produced coatings of ZnO-based and NiOx-based coatings from alcoholic and water solution. A single glass, ITO-precoated glass or alumina was used as the substrate. Porous materials of WO3, CuWO4-x and SnO2 have been produced spraying either inorganic or metal alkoxide gels over a hot substrate. Morphology of coatings were evaluated by either SEM or optical measurements.

RESUMEN Este trabajo tuvo como finalidad estudiar el efecto de la incorporación de extracto de piel de mango (EPM) sobre las propiedades de películas biodegradables fabricadas a partir de almidón de semillas de mango y comprobar su potencial para ser usado en envasado activo. El EPM fue añadido en el proceso de gelatinización en concentraciones de 5, 10 y 15% wt. Las propiedades de las películas fabricadas fueron caracterizadas usando Microscopía Electrónica de Barrido (MEB), Espectroscopía FTIR, cinética de absorción de agua y curvas Esfuerzo-Deformación. Las micrografías MEB muestran una formación más limpia de residuos, sin vacíos ni grietas en las películas con EPM. Los análisis FTIR confirman la formación de bioplástico de almidón por la presencia de los grupos funcionales O-H, C-H, C-O y O=H. Some dye-sensitized solar cells were prepared using TiO2 modified with CuO (TiO2-CuO) like a working electrode. P25 commercial powder and small amounts of CuO powder were used in preparing the modified coating. The coating was deposited following doctor Blade method, on a conductive substrate SnO2:F, which was previously deposited on a TiO2 blocking layer by spray pyrolysis technique. Journalism is essential in the daily agenda of the royal family and politicians and it becomes the undisputed protagonist to unite the plot, even with some chapters in which it occupies more than half the time. To quantify the presence of journalism in the four seasons, this research uses a structuralist method inspired by the book Morphology of the story (1928), by Russian Vladimir Propp, which extracted 31 irreducible functions or actions after analyzing one hundred traditional stories. This work studies the interaction between natural dyes obtained from Peruvian Zea mays and Bixa orellana seeds and nanostructured titanium dioxide, in order to evaluate their function as sensitizers into solar cell devices. The effective attachment of dyes to the TiO2 layer is corroborated by the comparison of UV-Visible absorption and FT-IR spectra of the extracted dye solutions and sensitized TiO2 electrodes. The principal compounds from the seed extraction of Zea mays and Bixa orellana are cyanidin-3-glucoside (C3G) and bixin respectively, which were analyzed in an isolated dye/cluster TiO2 system by molecular dynamic simulation. A sensor based on molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) was developed for determination of 3-(3,4-Dichlorophenyl)-1,1- dimethylurea (diuron). The MIP were synthesized by free radical polymerization in wich diuron acted as template, methacrylic acid (MAA) acted as functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) acted as crosslinker. For construction of the sensor, glassy carbon electrode was modified with Nafion® and MIP/NIP (non imprinted polymer) to see the contribution of MIP, as a film, in the diuron recognition. Differential Pulse Voltammetry was used to the quantification of diuron in a range of response 0.4 - 1.2 V in a PBS (pH=8). All parameters affecting the sensor were optimized. Las películas fueron tomadas como construcciones dinámicas, y a partir de éstas surgieron los temas del conflicto con la figura paterna y sus roles de autoridad y protección, la experiencia de lo ominoso (el terror frente a una amenaza que se vive a partir del encuentro con espacios y figuras que convencionalmente se consideran seguras y familiares), y el funcionamiento de grupos humanos involucrados en el conflicto. In this research and development, we present the design and manufacture of a radon chamber (PUCP radon chamber), a necessary tool for the calibration of passive detectors, verification of the operation of active radon monitors as well as diffusion chamber calibration used in radon measurements in air, and soils. The first chapter is an introduction to describe radon gas and national levels of radon concentration given by many organizations. Parameters that influence the calibration factor of the LR 115 type 2 film detector are studied, such as the energy window, critical angle, and effective volumes.
