This research aims to compare some variables with students enrolled in a Higher Education Institution (IES) pursuing distance-virtual undergraduate programs. The sample included students from the Faculty of Distance Studies (FAEDIS) at the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (UMNG). A parallel was drawn between the 2015-II and 2024-I periods, comparing economic, demographic, and institutional aspects. A descriptive methodology was used, using a survey instrument that corresponded to a sample of 15.2% of the enrolled student body. The above shows that a significant proportion of the students who responded were between 22 and 35 years old, indicating a young adult population. However, the 17-21 age group showed a significant increase. El estudio buscó establecer si existirían diferencias psicolingüísticas y comunicacionales en estudiantes universitarios, considerando su diversa realidad cultural y sociolingüística. Se examinó a 20 alumnos de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (dialecto del castellano ribereño costeño), 18 alumnos de la Universidad Nacional San Agustín de Arequipa (castellano sur andino) y 28 alumnos de la Universidad Nacional de Huancavelica (condición interlectal quechua-castellano). We conducted a cross-sectional survey to assess the anxiety, distress, and turnover intention (likelihood to leave their current job) of healthcare workers in Peru during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our results reported that 21.7% healthcare workers in Peru experienced severe anxiety, whereas 26.1% of them experienced severe mental distress. A higher level of education related with a lower level of anxiety. Younger workers had a higher level of turnover intention than their older colleagues did. Healthcare workers in the private sector had a higher turnover intention than those in the public sector. Most importantly, people who were geographically far from Lima, the epicenter in Peru, during the outbreak experienced less anxiety and mental distress, corroborating the ripple effect and disconfirming the typhoon eye theory. Rapid Maxillary Expansion (ERM) has been classically described in the literature as a therapeutic procedure in the treatment of transverse maxillary deficiency. The aim of this study was to evaluate the cephalometric skeletal changes on the cranial base in growing patients who had undergone rapid maxillary expansion. The material consisted of lateral radiographs taken from ten growing patients (eight male and two female) with need of rapid maxillary expansion as part of their orthodontic treatment. The age range of the patients was 7.1 to 12.7 years, and the mean age was 10.6 ± 2.04 years. On December 31, 2019, the city of Wuhan, from the People's Republic of China, reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) around twenty-seven cases of pneumonia of unknown etiology, which was identified on January 7, 2020, as new coronavirus (nCOV) [1]. Subsequently, the WHO named it as COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019). Peru reported, on March 06, the first imported case of COVID-19 in a Peruvian man with travel history to Europe. Then, other cases were confirmed among his relatives [2]. This article analyzes some of the changes that occurred in Mexican community distance-learning high schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly regarding the conditions of actors within school systems, the new activities associated with distance-learning, and teacher-student relationships. From the perspective of interpretive sociology and through semi-structured interviews, the aim is to take the perspective of head teachers and teachers into account, to show their role in the transformation of the schools. The geographic spaces where pre-Hispanic architectural settlements are located have allowed us to identify the type of spatial organization of the ancient cultures that inhabited the territories of the northern coast of Peru. The founding of the city of San Miguel in 1532 is the first manifestation of the change in architecture and society. The objective of this work was to identify the founding site of the town of San Miguel among the pre-Hispanic architectural settlements. The results show that the distance between the port called La Bocana in the province of Paita and the archaeological site Tangarara 3 located in the province of Sullana is 48.80 km, which determines the identification of the site described in the chronicles. The loss of biodiversity and the effects of climate change hurt agricultural production and food security in Peru and around the world. The family farming sector in Peru (97% of agricultural units – AU) faces numerous challenges when it comes to sustainably producing food. To sustain Peruvian agriculture in the face of climate change, climate-smart agricultural (CSA) practices and agrobiodiversity conservation are essential. This document characterizes the level of agrobiodiversity (index IDA) of family AUs in the Crisnejas basin and analyzes the impact of the elements that affect farmers’ decisions to apply multiple CSA measures. CSA adoption decisions were analyzed using an econometric analysis framework combining multivariate and ordered probit models for 340 family AUs. The tropical Andes and adjacent Amazon are Earth’s highest biodiversity hotspot. Manu National Park in southeastern Peru encompasses an entire watershed, ranging from Andean highlands to Amazonian lowlands, and is a megadiverse landscape on the Andes to Amazon transition. Here we present an annotated checklist of trees and related species is along an elevation gradient in the Manu Biosphere Reserve that runs from sub-montane forests at 800 m elevation up to the tree line at 3625 m. Based on a network of 21 1-hectare permanent tree plots and botanical explorations, the floristic information is systematized by elevation ranges, geographical distribution and endemism.  Introduction: the change in the learning environment, from face-to-face to online, caused by the SARS-COV2 coronavirus pandemic in the Singapore university environment had an impact on academic performance, teacher assessment and student-teacher interaction. Objective: to evaluate the impact of the change in the learning environment on academic performance, teacher assessment and student-teacher interaction. Method: the grades and evaluation surveys of 282 students from two cohorts who studied in 2020 were compared consecutively face-to-face and online university training.
