Globalization and changing lifestyles are generating new forms of tourism, including visits to short break destinations. The objective of this study is to propose a definition of short break destinations and to present the dimensions of the attractiveness of tourist destinations. The methodology consisted of reviewing the literature of 64 academic publications. The result shows the determinants that should be considered in the definition of short break destination and the following dimension are proposed: 1) naturals resources, 2) cultural and historical resources, 3) social factors, 4) tourist services and 5) infrastructure.

In this work we review the symmetry breaking mechanism of gauge theories. On the first chapters of this thesis, we review the concept of symmetry as the action of a group that leaves an object invariant, in particular Lagrangians and actions, and then develop the corresponding globally and gauge symmetric theories and the relationship between them. It also reviewed the concept and general framework of the spontaneous breaking of a symmetry for renormalizable potentials. Correspondingly, two main results for global symmetries, Noether’s theorem and Goldstone’s Theorem, are reviewed in a general setting. Chapter 3 is the most important part of this work. The Brout-Englert-Higgs mechanism is explained and used to retrieve the symmetry breaking patterns for the vector and all the second rank tensor irreducible representations of the O(n) and SU(n) groups. The way of consuming information and the way we communicate is evolving thanks to advances in technology, the digital transformation breaks new ground in the tourism sector when communicating its services, offers and messages to customers. One of the challenges facing tourism professionals is understanding technological trends to innovate and reinvent their services towards clients. For which we propose a model to adopt the digital transformation in the development of tourist companies. Purpose – This study aims to investigate, for the first time in the literature, the stochastic properties of the US aggregate health-care price inflation rate series, using the data on health-care inflation rates for a panel of 17 major US urban areas for the period 1966-2006. Design/methodology/approach – This goal is undertaken by applying the first- and second-generation panel unit root tests and the panel stationary test developed recently by Carrion-i-Silvestre et al. (2005) that allows for endogenously determined multiple structural breaks and is flexible enough to control for the presence of cross-sectional dependence. In this article we publish the cutting and down-filling methods that the exploitation technology uses in the underground mines of Peru. It describes in which cases it is applied, the types of deposits, the behavior of the mineral and the boxes, the development and preparation for the application of the method. In the break within the stope (cutting), the drilling meshes that are applied for each method, the drilling equipment, and the material with their respective blasting accessories are described; as well as the benefits and drawbacks of this method. Finally, the recovery of the mineral from the exploitation block, the efficiency and variations of the method, and the mention of the mines in which they are applied in Peru are described.

The analysis of tort law is one of the most well-developed applications of economic methodology in the study of law. in this essay, we provide an overview of the economic approach to tort law, analyzing the effects of liability rules on care incentives. We catalogue a variety of possible tort regimes, systematically breaking down possible assignments of liability in terms of primary and secondary rules, and describe how their permutations distribute the costs of accidents (and the concomitant incentives to exercise precautionary care). We further consider what factual circumstances may render one tort regime preferable to another from the perspective of policymakers.
