The present study’s aim is to design, construct and validate an instrument that allows for the measurement of the dimensions for short break tourist destination. The instrument was comprised of 29 items that were applied to 400 university students from diverse undergraduate in Lima, Peru through a convenience sampling. The analysis of the psychometric properties of the instruments and the construction of the perception scale of the short break destinations was carried out through application of Exploratory Factor Analysis and the Graduated Response Model from Item Response Theory. The results show a valid and reliable scale to measure a short break tourist destination. Globalization and changing lifestyles are generating new forms of tourism, including visits to short break destinations. The objective of this study is to propose a definition of short break destinations and to present the dimensions of the attractiveness of tourist destinations. The methodology consisted of reviewing the literature of 64 academic publications. The result shows the determinants that should be considered in the definition of short break destination and the following dimension are proposed: 1) naturals resources, 2) cultural and historical resources, 3) social factors, 4) tourist services and 5) infrastructure.

Corporate social responsibility programs are increasingly valued by customers, however their financial justification in organizations is still limited. The design of this research was based on a qualitative study of comparative cases between the best companies to work in Peru (Great place to work - GPTW) in the period 2015-2017. The social responsibility practices and the financial results obtained from each were examined. The results indicate that there is a tendency for companies that execute social responsibility programs to obtain positive financial results at the same time.

The present research explores the use of Information and Communications Technologies in the citizen participation of Subnational Governments with high digitization. For the analysis of the data, grounded theory was used, semistructured interviews were conducted with representatives of subnational governments in Metropolitan Lima and representatives of public and private institutions. The results highlight that subnational governments, following state e-government standards, offer numerous modern services through their web portals but these are underutilized by citizens.
