El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo comparar el peso corporal, así como índices cardiacos, hematocrito y hemoglobina como indicadores de trabajo cardiaco de dos líneas de pavos de engorde criados a nivel del mar. Se trabajó con 35 pavos de la línea BUT y 35 de la línea Hybrid. El peso corporal (PC) se registró desde la 4ª a la 14ª semana de edad en que fueron beneficiados. Two of the main indices used when doing a psychometric analysis of a performance test are the index of difficulty and the index of discrimination. These indices become indicators of the quality of a test as long as they are within acceptable ranges. This has two consequences, first the determination of the formula for the calculation of the indices, and secondly, the interpretation of them according to certain standards. This work shows the way how these indices are determined and related, as well as the way in which the discrimination rule influences the valuation of the test. Recommendations are also proposed for the use of both indices based on the analysis performed.

Two new reactivity indices were developed within the conceptual framework of the Density Functional Theory. These new descriptors, called electrophilic susceptibility index and nucleophilic susceptibility index, were tested to reproduce the chemical reactivity trends of series of halogen-substituted quinones and 5-substituted indoles, respectively. The above mentioned molecular system were computationally treated by using the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory. For these systems, the proposed descriptors showed to be more appropriate than other descriptors currently known such as the electrodonating power, the electroaccepting power and the popular electrophilicity index.

En este estudio se evaluó el efecto de tres tipos de empadre y dos tipos de alimentación sobre parámetros reproductivos. Se utilizaron 210 cuyes hembras y 30 machos reproductores en un diseño de bloques completos al azar con arreglo factorial de tres tipos de empadre (posparto, posdestete y posdescanso) x dos tipos de alimentación (forraje verde, forraje verde más suplemento). El estudio comprendió la evaluación de las reproductoras durante el segundo y tercer parto. Se encontró efecto del tipo de empadre sobre las variables peso al nacimiento, número de partos por año y uso eficiente del celo (p<0.05). También hubo efecto del tipo de alimentación sobre la variable peso al nacimiento (p<0.05). What is being discussed in education is currently contextualized within the network society, where formal and informal co-learning are indispensable in the development and exercise of social, cultural, cognitive, both technological mastery and fluency as professional on citizenship skills. The main goal of reflection isto identify indicators of co-learning styles that favor the development of digital skills. We present a descriptive analysis supported by bibliographic references, reflections and discussions of space dialog weSPOT Community CoLearn project coordinated by the researcher Alexandra Okada Open University. The results thusbring a contribution to thinking about theories of learning styles and emerging digital skills.

Globalization has intensified competition in many markets. To remain competitive, the companies look for satisfying the needs of customers by meeting market requirements. In this context, Process Capability Indices (PCI) play a crucial role in assessing the quality of processes. In the case of non-normal data there are two general approaches based on transformations (Box-Cox and Johnson Transformation) and Percentiles (Pearson’s and Burr’s Distribution Systems). However, previous studies on the comparison of these methods show different conclusions, and thus arises the need to clarify the differences between these methods to implement a proper estimation of these indices. The aim of this study was to characterize the morphology of the creole goat of the Volcanes de Colima physiographic sub-province, Mexico. Seventeen body measurements were taken from 371 goats older than two years and four racial indices and 17 functional indices were calculated. Data were analysed using Pearson correlation, principal component, and hierarchical cluster analysis. The rump angle, chest width and all measurements of the ears and udder showed the greatest variability. Also, the goats showed great morpho-structural harmony. Racial indices showed that goats are dolichocephalic, ellipometric, and have a convex rump, while functional indices indicated dual-purpose zootechnical aptitude. Objective: To learn about and compare breastfeeding practices, complementary feeding and the nutritional status of preschoolers attending various child development centers in a municipality of Mexico City. Materials and methods: An analytical cross-sectional study which analyzed a sample of 444 preschoolers who underwent anthropometric measurements and hemoglobin determination. Additionally, information on breastfeeding andcomplementary feeding practices was gathered from mothers. The children were categorized into two age groups (13 to 59 months and 13 to 80 months). Results: The average age was 48.4 months, with 90 % having received breastfeeding for an average of 7.7 months and 63 % having started complementary feeding before six months of age.
